Put some new LED lights on my 2009 RSV. I put them right next to the raditor right next to the ferring. They look pretty good they are chrome with 18 lights in each pod. Try them out and see how they work. PS please over look the dirt on my bike Here is the link for the LED lights they cost a whole $14.99 with free shipping. They are coming from China and they are water resistance. They have two colors blue and white. Good Luck sorry it took me a while to get the link on. We're only going down for the day but plan to leave as early as we can get everything ready as it's a three hour drive going full out on the highway all the way down. :cool10: If anyone else is going or would like to meet us partway or anything like that, drop me an email or post here or call us (number on profile). Weather's looking great for tomorrow. Haven't been since 2009 so hopefully it'll be a blast. For anyone not sure what Wharf Rat Rally is, here's a link: http://www.wharfratrally.com/2010schedule/Home.aspx And here's a link to some pics we took in 2009 when we went: http://s29.photobucket.com/albums/c253/bjdobson/Motorcycle%20pics/Sep%205%202009%20Wharf%20Rat%20Rally/

Over the years here we have all clicked on various webistes to place our online votes for a member of our group... now it's my turn to ask: My nephew is in the running to win an autographed jersey from a Philadelphia Union soccer player. On the Philadelphia Union's Facebook page, he needs as many people to "Like" his comment as possible. If you are on Facebook and have a minute to spare, please help him win the jersey. Here's the 'how to' from his father: First, go to this link and "like" the Union. Next, go to this link and scroll down the comments, find the comment by Bill Malone, and "like" that comment. My son thanks you!!! Thanks to all for your help!

Lewis, Thanks again for organizing and running the Vogel 2011 Rally. Thanks to Rick Haywood I got the Killboy link for the pictures taken last friday while riding the Dragon. We went up late in the 2-4pm pictures, and back down early in the after 4pm pictures. I have purchased the high res version of this pic for you and should have the link to it soon. Thanks again, Randy

Click on this link from Competition Accessories (news review) http://blog.compacc.com/2011/08/michelin-commander-2-tires-preview/ Competition accessories is starting to sell the Michelin Commander 2 (I think). But not our size yet. The link above is an article that has pictures and describes the new tread design and extended mileage claims. Michelin is pretty happy but I like the old design. Says they will come in 15 sizes. For the front, it does not include our stock size (150/80/16) but does carry the "small front", 130/90/16. Rear, they do have our 150/90/15. This link is the sales page on what they do have now (not our size): http://www.compacc.com/Michelin-Commander-2-Motorcycle-Tires http://blog.compacc.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/IMG00184-20110810-15161.jpg

I have a 1988 Venture and would like to replace the front fork springs and the rear shock with the progressive product (unless someone has another alternative to the darned expensive rear shock, mine won't hold air). I don't want to beat a dead horse here, but I've searched all over the site and need some help, so if you have a link to this question (which I'm sure has been answered already) please send me the link! I need to know what the procedure is to replace them. Thank you in advance! Shane

This turned up in one of our UK national papers today. Perhaps the title should have read 'good breeding goes with good taste! I've tried to upload the picture but can only send you the link. Prince Charles aboard a Midnight Venture! well I didn't expect to see that. It was all in aid of a very good cause, but I bet someone was holding the back to prevent him dropping it! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/prince-charles/8583623/Prince-of-Wales-Charlies-angels-meet-the-biker-Prince.html Let me know if the picture fails to appear with the link

Here's a link to the Nova Scotia Biker's website. http://www.novascotiabikers.com There are a lot of good links here. Under the "Links" button is where the travelling around the province links are stored. A general link I found for biker friendly accomodations. http://www.bike-stay.net

It was suggested that I post a new thread about the Quaker Steak & Lube dinner on June 3rd, 2011. This is the evening before the "official" MD date at Freebird's home in Oberlin , Ohio. There is a calender event at the following link. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=265&day=2011-6-3&c=1 Signing up for this is totally optional, if you don't sign up you can still go, and if you do sign up, there is no problem not going. It just gives me an idea on how many are going to be there so I can keep the restaurant informed. Also a post from Don related to that weekend at link below. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=58678 Gary

I posted a CL link to this trailer in Colorado Springs, but thought I would put the pics here too. I've never seen a trailer like this before. If I were closer I'd go look just to see it in action.

If you could add one tool, or piece of equipment to your shop, what would it be. Add a second choice too if you like In my case I would like a motorcycle lift. I am way past the point where kneeling on the floor is fun. Please feel free to link this thread to anyone who might consider you at Christmas and Birthday

I am going to replace the glass fuses with the ATC blade type set-up on my '84. With all the writeups here, I think I can tackle the issue. My question is, What about the top (towards the front of the bike) connection. I understand that this is called a fusable link. Can I hook this to a fuse and if so, what size should I use? It is finally getting warm enough here to work in an unheated garage and I would like to get the bike ready to ride. Thanks, Dave
