My factory CB (2008 RSV) keeps turning itself on when I'm out riding. Cannot figure out why? Anybody else have this problem? Info on how to stop it would be appreciated? Is it a warranty repair?

While doing a tune up on my 99 RSV, I noticed one of the studs that holds the driver seat on is broken. Have any of you had this problem, and more importantly is there a fix????? I would hate to have the other stud break. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, you have all been a great help with all my questions. I have deleted the database on the older server. Could somebody please try to login to the chat room and see if everything is working properly. Is it remembering your login info and etc.? Thanks.

What a difference changing out the clutch fluid after 39,000 miles. No more hard shifting and the clutch handle much stronger. Thanks for all the good info on this sight.

Does anyone have instructions on how to install the thermo switches. Photos would be great. There is a new one that will turn that fan on at 80 degrees. (Thank for that info tx2sturgis) What the other one is for, I don't know but there are 2 switches. Can anyone help with the installation instruction. Thanks -

I got a j&m set (the inexpensive set) got it installed and the intercom part works good but the raidio i can bearly hear. I read the owners manual and dont know. any info. ya'll give me some input what im doing wrong

I wanted to post this up for all our members. I just got off the phone with Nancy Stills (Mean Dogs wife) and she wanted this info to be posted up. They are having a memorial service for Mark at his home in Madden MS. on Saturday March 22nd @ 2pm. If the weather turns bad then it will be held @ the Madden Baptist Church. If anyone would like Marks addy, PM me and I'll send you the info, I dont want to post it here on the site. I know that the family would appreciate any friends of Marks to attend if possible. I just want to mention that I have changed the time. It will start at 2 PM and not 4 like was mentioned, getting old is hard sometimes!

There used to be a thread somewhere, and now I can't find it, but it showed what the different parts of the part numbers indicated. Wonder if someone has that info and would like to share it with the rest of us. Course then we would all know and the person giving out the info would not have one up on the rest of us anymore. Nahhhh,,,don't think that's a problem around here, sometimes more info is given than really needed and I won't say pin,,,,,

I'll try to keep this as short as possible, but it's something I've wanted say for a long time. I joined this wonderful forum in '06 (forget how I even found it) CRS ya know . I have a V-Star 1100, so most of the help info doesn't pertain to my bike, BUT it's the members here that keeps me logging in. I did find a V-Star 1100 forum for the kind of help and info I might need from time to time, but believe me, VR. org's members are truly family, and I know you know what I'm talking about. Mostly I just log in to catch up on all that's happening, and am content to "lurk" and still feel that I'm very much a part of this group. Our hearts go out for those in need or who have lost loved one's, even tho chances are we've never personally met them, and help is always offered. My close friends could never imagine what a bond there is on this forum, and I'll just keep that "our" secret. So......I just want to thank ALL of you that make this the best motorcycle forum, and a special thanks to Don and the moderators for their devotion to this forum. My best to all Jerry

hey,, I need some info on how to mount an amp in the trunk , right now the amp is resting against a bazooka tube,,not very secure , the amp is a Alpine MRPF 240 ,, would love to add a bigger amp but don't know if the bike's electrical system can handle it,,or if it can be mounted in the trunk,, any info would be really helpfull .

I'm in the process of upgrading my garage and have found this garage heater on sale. I was wondering if anyone has used this, or know if the brand is good? The reviews seem to be good fromwhat I've read. I have a 2.5 car garage that I'm insulating/heating. I want to give everyone a heads up. First of all, "if its to good to be true, it probably is." Someday I'll learn. My wife and I have been looking for a set of blue scorpion EXO-400 helmets. I found them at Extreme Supply for $90.00, regularly 129.00 to 139.00 depending. ( http://www.extremesupply.com/index.htm ) Yea, right... Ordered them Saturday evening. entered all the appropriate personnel info, plus of course credit card info. Got a Thanks for the order, along with confirmation number. Happy me. Monday evening I recived a we are sorry, but we just sold out email. That would have been OK, however they tried to up sell me to a more expensive helmet, even that would have been OK, but, I just check this evening (5 days latter) and they are still posting the same deal. This would indicate to me that they are trying to get others to buy something, that they don't have, so they can try to sell them something more expensive. I realize I'm whinning, but, we need to treat Web merchants just like local merchants, if they don't live up to their advertisements, we need to let everyone know, WE ARE MAD AS HECK!, AND WE AIN'T GOING TO TAKE IT, WITH OUT LETING EVERYONE KNOW. 3d

I bought my Zumo toward the end of June this year. I've been thinking about updating to the 2008 maps. A few weeks ago I was going through the Garmin site and decided to review the info in the MyGarmin account. Looked at the map updates in there and it said I was eligible for a free upgrade! I said yes, verified my info, and got it Friday. Installed it today. I haven't had a problem with my unit, but from what I hear, those that have had problems were promptly taken care of with service over and above what most were expecting. I think this free map upgrade is another example. If you own a Zumo and have it registered, you might want to check and see if you have a free upgrade coming.

I just took my battery out and for the first time I noticed what appears to be a solid rubber hose, 1/2" in diameter, hook shaped, with a pin hole in the end of it. This is just to the right of the battery (by negative). Anybody know what this is and if it's supposed to be attached to anything? Thanks for any info.

I've been trying to change the sub-heading that appears under my ID on my posts. I've gone to the UserCP to edit my profile, checked the reset and typed in the info, clicked save changes, and NADA!! The dang thing won't save it, and keeps 'member'. Que Pasa?

Hello all I'm from Kokomo IN. I ride a 04 Volusia and I am a member of the VolusiaRiders. I know that there are a few member here from over there. I'm not in the market for a RSD but a friend of mine is and he asked me if I could find out some info for him. I would love to have a Venture, but just can't swing one right now. My question is what's different between a 06 RSD and a 07 RSD? Is there anything different at all except for color options? Thanks
