1st Gen Fuel pump
Squeeze replied to jb1016's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
There is no Problem, the Pump is activated by a Pressure Switch inside the Pump. It pumps until the Pressure is built up and stops by then until you let the Motor run. There is also a Safety Part in the Fuel Pump Relay which prevents the draining of the Tank. When you switch the Key the Pump only operates for 5 Seconds or the Pressure is build up. When there is a RpM Signal on the Ingintion Coil the Relay goes back to normal Operation. -
Well, likeminded as i am, also don't have anything against a big Paycheck. This could be a very interesting Thing, three Heads ... three Paychecks for each us !!! I don't care if the Cheques are originally from Hell, i will turn them into something good anyway. I would donate at least one of them. Just make sure they are covered !!

Now, that's making me nervous ... On a second Thought, this might not be a Problem, he can't get in here anyway. Our Chimney is 120mm in Diameter and made out of Plastic, neither he or the Load of Coal will fit through the Hole ... On the third Thought, why in the World would Santa Claus take Orders from a Creature from Hell ?? I think i will refrain from any Fear and just carry on ... :whistling: :thumbsup2:

I doubt that ! If a Man uses such suspicious Terms as "pleasant disposition", there's all set and done. NO REGRETS !! I can smell some Sort of Revenge, though ....

Now the Language is not the Best, to say it at least, and while talking this Way, he deminishes the Case, but if those stated Facts are right, well ... Might be Time to overthink a Part of the System.

Swifty, that Thing is what it is, but it's definately NOT a Streetfighter. Flat Tracker or probably Cafe Racer, yes, but no Streetfighter !

waste of Bits and Bytes on the Storage Media and Battery Power ?? :rotf::rotf:

I doubt that, this Bike is fairly cheap here. It's Price (11,000 Euro MSRP incl. 19 Percent VAT ) is well between all other comparable Bikes and it's really cheap for a Harley. VMAX is 19750 Euro MSRP included 19 Percent VAT.

Sure, i gave that a Thought or maybe two, but i wouldn't want to mention that in my Posting ... why are you mentioning it ?? We have to keep him postive and highly motivated !! !! :rotf:

Lewis, stay positive ... At least you know, it will fit in the Trunk of a Bike, there's no need to bring the Truck with you to bring it home. Now, i'm not saying that i'm not laughing about the Pic, but Pic by Pic there's Info revealed.:crackup::crackup:

Caretaker of the Gift Sounds like an official Title to me .... I think the one who carries the Responsibility of the Gift, should carry this Title as long as the Gift is under his Watch.

Well, the initial Post is nearly a Year old, it's about a 5.2 Liter V8 Motor in a Dakota Truck and he didn't have the 2Gen by the Time he posted this in first Place.

Yes, MC-specific Synthetic Oil doesn't work here among us Vmax Crazy Creatures. Here's my Take on this. These Oils are borderline on a Max. They will work and not make the Clutch slip under normal use even on a Vmax. But load up a Passenger or ride the Crap out of the Bike and the Clutch will start to slip. If you constantly ride aggressive, you even don't need a Passenger for making the Clutch slip. Now the 2Gen has less Power, but when fully loaded and/or a Trailer hooked up and going through Twisties in ambitious Manner, the Clutch will give up very early. Of Course, there will be some Members coming up and report "no Issues with synthetic whatsoever", and i don't deny their Story by any Meanings. But they are probably those who need to replace the 'weak' stock Clutch Spring very early in the Bikes Life. That's my Story and i'm sticking to it. No need to flame me on that Issue. I will stay away from synthetic Oil as long as i can buy standard Oil. These Engines are designed for standard Oil and i can't find any Reason to fill it up with expensive Stuff which might ruin my Clutch early. I even mounted a Drag-Style Lock-up Clutch on my Max and intend to do so on my 12Gen when the Time comes to open the Clutch Cover.

Throw the Steel Plates in the Trash. They are Junk. Everybody i know who tried use a MC-specific synthetic Oil in his Max(which are the same Parts) payed dearly for this. I don't want to bash any synthic Oil, just stating the Facts i know.
