Nice Idea Rick and well executed. But me thinks, this is a Job for a Laser- or Waterjet Cutting Machine. Cuts 50 Pieces in 10 Minutes. Bending takes another 20 to Minutes. Polishing or Painting like each Owner prefers.

10 Feet ? so far ?? I'd get suicidal with that Amount of Snow.

Hey, thanks for wishing me Fun, but i have had Fun all Day. I finally got one Truck and two Trailers running on all Systems after three Weeks of Vacation. Took me 2.5 Hours to have everything going. Did i mention i had enough of this "FUN" already ?? Even got some bad Looks because i refused to shovel or plow the Sidewalk. Hey, it's called Winter, Snow is pretty normal in this Time of Year. But we have only 2 or 4 Inches Remainder. Can't wait this Stuff go away....

1st Gen Rotiserre.

Yes, you can replace the Thrust-Washer by flipping the Engine over and dismounting the lower Half of the Casing. It's a bit tricky to get it back, but it works. You can't dismount the lower Casing with the Motor in the Frame, while Setup flipped over or not. I think, when the Dogs on the Gear haven't slipped out yet, one could undo the rear Swingarm and take the angled Gear Assembly out of the Casing, undo Clutch Basket and Hub, built a custom designed hydraulic Press and push the whole big Bearing and the other angled Gear back on the Tranny Shaft to replace the C-shaped Thrust Washer. -
1st Gen. Thermostat

I bet 5 Bucks that the Orientation of the Drain Valve is in the wrong Position. It's located on the right front of the Motor just where the Elbow from the Waterpump is going into the Thermostat Housing. The Arrow on the Drain Valve should point to 2'o Clock Direction.- 21 replies

Hot Key or Switch Housing means excessive Resistance which means fast Wear on the Contacts. Maybe one of our electrical Guru's should develop an upgrade Kit with a fat, up to the Task Main 60 Amps-Relay, at best as an Plug and Play Solution. This would make those Toggle Switch Solution obsolete.

Sounds like your babying your Bike, or at least you lugging the Engine.

I'd like to see and inspect two or three of these bad Switches and could tell what's the Cause of the Failure. Some mentioned there's too much Current through the Switch and by wireing a Main Power Relay into the Circuit it can be solved. I've heard not enough Voices and not seen actual Damage to create an Opinion about that.

C'mon Charlie, you can haggle a better Price with them. :stickpoke: You must not care for the Look, but for the Engine/Drivetrain Package.

Why hiding the Information ? The next Guy who wants to know will have to ask again, instead of just reading it in the Thread here ? -
The 84 needs new brakes

Margaret, i think there's something not right. Granted, I buy such Parts direct from Wholesale Distributor, but i can have a Set of EBC HH Pads shipped to you for that Price. And i have to pay 19 Percent VAT on the Price. Unless there is a huge Customs Factor involved, there got to be a better Price somewhere in US. -
Even while i'm not that intimate and familair with the US Tax System, but isn't it that those Exploration Costs are "Costs" and therefore subtracted before they announce their huge Earnings ? Kind of affects the EBIT ... but if the EBIT of one Company is tripple the Gross National Product of the upper half of South America, there is where it starts to hurt and better stop the loud Whining ... I won't go deeper into US-GAAP Rules, but you gotta tell the whole Story. But i agree to a Point, me thinks the most Companies you talk about are not listed in the big Stock Markets and they may have to "struggle" also. "Struggle" in Relation to the big Companies and the Earnings these are making.

That's a Fred Kodlin Custom Bike. The rear Wheel actually is driven by a rubber Wheel. Works and looks very cool, but only when it's dry. Lots of Slippage why the Tire is wet.

May i suggest EBC HH Pads instead of the organic Pads in your Link. They may cost a bit more, but are well worth the extra Money. -
no spark to front cylinders any ideals?

Check the Ignition Pickup Coil and the Connector to the Wiring Harness for Resistance within Specs. THe Coils are inside the left front /Stator Cover and the Connector should be found on the left Side upper Frame -

Emergency Stop Switch, checking the Fuel Pump for the "tack", "tack", "tack" Sound, Shifter in Neutral and Side Stand Switch are the first Parts to check. Wiggling on the Key/Main Switch would be my nect Guess - it's a 2Gen. -
George, your Thoughts are well expressed and very well founded.

George, if you don't mind using a little bit german Language and metric Values, you can use Geardata to figure out aynthing you want. If you have Questions about Translation or anything else, just ask. Download the Zip File and install it. I've included some Vmax Data, i've aquired through the Years(ged-Files). Only Thing you need to remember when you type in the Reduction Data, our Engines have two "primary Reductions", first the classical between Crank and Clutch Basket, second the angled Gear on the Tranny Output.
-
You will ruin the angled Gear/Tranny when spinning the rear Wheel without the Motor running. This goes for towing or only rolling down a Hill often enough. Don't ask how i know this.
