So why do you need an adapter if the jack works for you now on the RSV?
-
Yeah, I had the same issue with the course. The instructor wanting me in second, told him the same thing, engine will bog down in 2nd at that slow of speed. He insisted, then promptly dropped the bike on a figure 8 going that slow in 2nd. Then I had him try in 2nd, after the first tight curve, he stopped and said keep it in 1st.

I bought Edsets for my new helmet last year, liked the thin pieces for the ears, but what I am finding and is irrating is this: They work great for the Intercom and the radio (FM AM), but with ZUMO 550 sounds, espcially XM and directions, have to crank the volume up to max. I did not have to do this with the J&Ms, the cheap set $69 set. But the sound quality with Intercom and AM/FM radio for the EDsets are definitly better. Just wish the EDSets worked better with the Zumo device.

I need to find a good spacer I like to make up the difference between the Wolo and Stebel Horn. Also, Carbon One, in the instructions, you state to remove the OEM horn bracket, but mine is a welded bracket to the frame. I am not going to remove the bracket, especially since I do not have a grinder or torch. Anyway here is the sound of the Wolo horn for those of you that have not heard the sound. Once I have it mounted and totally wired, will take pics of the setup. And I am using Carbon One's bracket and wiring harness. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtodGmaDeFc]YouTube- wolo horn[/ame]

I figured since he don't know where Georgia is, most likely will take him 3 days to get there. 1 day through Louisiana, 1 day through Alabama, and a full day just finding Atlanta (86er place). :rotf:

So how did you mount the horn, if Carbon-One's bracket does not work? Do you have pics?

The only thing I do different is #3. The rubber sleeve slides on a metal tab, just slide the sleeve of the metal tab. Then it is much easier to remove the hoses and sleeve from the old filter, then reverse procedure. See Ponch's pics that show the rubber sleeve with the slot for the metal tab.

Well at least you can still see the road, remember the last major snow storm I was in, a group of us had flash lights out the side windows to tell the driver he was still on the road and not the bar ditches.

Rough running Bike
Sleeperhawk replied to TheKid's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
If it is under Warrenty, and you are going to trailer it, then take it to Extreme Sports in Sumter, SC, about 2 hours from Charlotte, family owned Yamaha place that I have no problem taking my bike to for warrenty work or something I could not handle. -
