  1. With the Kyriakin grips, I put the baron end weights on, no need for welding nuts on the flander bars. here is a thread about the end weights: [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=330686#poststop]Bar end weights for Iso Grips - VentureRider.Org[/ame]
  2. I have the Khromewerks on my bike, we love the sound of them.
  3. WHY ???
  4. I am a AMA member, like the rag and discounts too. Heck, each year on the hotel discounts end up paying for my membership. If you sign up for automatic renewal, the roadside assistance is "free".
  5. If you are running Avons at 40 lbs, you are running them underinflated. Front Avon, 42 minimum, rear 46 minimum up to 50lbs depending on load.
  6. I have ridden with both Avon and E3 in very wet weather, neither has felt like grease, they held the road and most of riding is 2 up. Currently have E3.
  7. Naw, went out to the garage and petted "Pony II", we going to keep each other. But dang, after riding with Eck to and from Texas, that GW has one hell of a lighting system, plus enough juice left over to add heated gear. All of this would be nice on the Venture, especially since Mechanic and I do a lot of night and winter riding. But that $25,000 price tag really really sucks.
  8. Yeah, but aren't they all the same from 2001 to 2010
  9. Ok, time for me to get my goldwing. Now what color, not Titanium, Orange, Black, Silver.
  10. Well heck, just have it the last weekend of June. This way we can have rides between Skid's and your place. :rotf:
  11. I up for that, but we need to get passports.
  12. So why can't this be the week prior to Memorial Day?
  13. So where is Kootenays :rasberry:
  14. Rob Page 3.3 of the owner's manual shows the lights on the instrument panel. Page 3.4 and 3.5 explain the Trip meter and "F"uel meter. Page 3.12 show the fuel cock position. Some leave their's on the reserve all the time, I do not. All of the pages come from the owner's manual for the Millineum bike. You can access the owner's manual from Yamaha: http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/service/viewmanuals/viewmanuals.aspx?ls=star There may be changes from year to year in the manual but most are the same.
  15. There are a lot of family activities around Memorial Weekend, considering that is the first major holiday in 5 months from New Years. How about earlier in May?
  16. Here is the link to the pics. Awesome M&E, Thanks to BlackJack and Eck for getting this put together. http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%2020090912%20Rome%20GA/
  17. Eck This is the rally I was thinking was occurring in the Maggie Valley area. Sept 24-26 Wings Over The Smokies GWRRA NC District Rally Fletcher, NC Buchtec is supposed to be there, demoing their trailers.
  18. Riderduke, Mechanic and I went to Summerville, GA, then cut over to Ft Payne, AL. We stopped at the Little River Canyon falls. That looks like an interesting ride on the West side of the canyon. Saw a couple of Ventures in the Summerville area.
  19. Mechanic and I did 860 miles from El Dorado, KS, to Athens, AL in 15 hours.
  20. Also, with a 4.5 gallon tank, the Strat does not have much range and air cooled, no thanks. I guess GW in the near future.
  21. Well, since she only had about 2 hours, not too many pics http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawks%20Mechanic%20Huntsville%20AL%2020090905/
  22. Nice meeting all of you from Tennessee, now if you guys can just get a M&E/Ride together, who knows what may show up :rotf:
  23. I don't know about Ted, he left the M&E on Saturday, didn't even say good bye, just saw him riding off into the sunset. Me thinks, he is becoming a Bad$$s.
  24. Just come up to Rome GA, on Sept 12, we will carb sync your bike.
