We will be home that weekend, so you do have a place to stay for free, besides what kind of pie do you like? Just let us know for sure what your plans are.
-
Yeah, but wait till you hear him tell how they can't mount an E3 on a Venture rim :rotf:
-
No kidding, and we will not be there until Friday. But guess what Eck, Texas is next week. Yeee Haaaw.
-
Eck, you talking about the Four Cornes in NM, AZ, CO and UT ? If so, there is absolutely no hotels or camping in that area. That point is in the middle of now where, but if it is in the Durango, CO area, then that is a nice ride from there or plenty of nice roads in the mountains around Durango.

axle help for 2nd gen
Sleeperhawk replied to ridgway1's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
With all that Eck and Squidly have said, are the 4 acorn nuts on the drive shaft housing loose before tightening the axel down? Those 4 acorn nuts are the last thing to be tightened. Also, did you grease the axel?, I know its one of the obvisious things to be done. -

Vibration/Rattle From The Trunk Area
Sleeperhawk replied to Bobby G's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Actually, since you said you had your wife sitting backwards to hear the noise and she could not, are you sure it is not your wife rattling :rotf: -
Mechanic and I live east of the airport, so between the 3 groups of us, someone will pick you up and you even have a place to stay, here with us. Oh by the way, I saw someone riding a Millineum in downtown Columbia at noon today. Sure hope Thundertower did not sell that bike to someone else Actually I have seen this rider on the interstate a couple of times. Let us know when you are going to be here. Also, Mechanic and I will be out of town on the weekend of the 21 through 24, going to Wildhair's gathering in Texas, and of course the Vogel gathering this weekend. Welcome aboard.

I thought for sure you came to your senses and would sell the GW, now there is an anchor :rasberry:

I was planning on bringing mine too. We will be meeting Mechanic's Uncle for lunch on Saturday, he lives in the area. I will help with the syncing in the morning.

Help, broke down 2,000 miles from home
Sleeperhawk replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Mine would crank but would not fire up. Then at Freebirds we traced it to the starter/relay switch (down by the fuel filter). Replaced under warranty When the ignition switch went out later, would not turn over. 2 different electrical issues on my 05 -
Hey Dragon Rider and belt buckle raffle ticket buyers
Sleeperhawk replied to Cinderella's topic in Watering Hole
Just a little off on your mileage Leave here about 4 am to get to Vogel by 9 (225 miles), then do easy Dragon and the great Chirahalla Highway. More like 500 miles, now that is a ride :rasberry: -
You shouldn't have gone shopping, that way you could have spent more time ridin.
-
My dealer says it will in September with bikes not showing up until December.

Help, broke down 2,000 miles from home
Sleeperhawk replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The other electrical issue I had on the 05 was the relay switch down in front of the fuel filter. Bike would run fine, then sputter and died, but cranked and cranked the final time. This happened 2 years ago at Maintenance day, we hauled it back to Don's and we traced it too this relay switch, unplug it, and found the switch had melted from the inside, Don loaned me his switch, made it home and had a new replaced under warrentry. -
Help, broke down 2,000 miles from home
Sleeperhawk replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
This definitely sounds like the switch going out, like mine did over time. Intermittenant, then finally nothing, new switch. Easy enough to check, remove gas tank, about a 10 or 12 guage wire, and go to the above link, follow the directions. Did this to Riderduke's bike, good enough to get home and put in new switch. -
So, does SteveS want to sell the trailer to someone that will actually use it :stirthepot: Congrats to all the lotto winners.

Great job to all of you that helped in anyway for putting this together. 2 years now, Mechanic and I could not attend. Hopefully next year. :bighug:

Yeppers, we heard there was a Michigan M&E at Squid's place, sitting here Cecdoo, Wanderer, and a couple of others (don't remember their names, because they figured out how to get in without tripping the alarm) who are great guys with bunches of tatoos. Mechanic been drooling ever since she saw all them tats.
-
Of course, and besides, you and KromeRose like to disappoint the Mechanic don't you :no-no-no:

If this is the Rally's hamburger chain they have in the south, like Alabama, then I don't like them neither, was really lousy, almost as bad. Porcelon throne had me too.
