  1. I have not worked with it myself, but have worked with folks who have. Seems to be a FoxPro, or Access level kind of system. Of the 5 or 6 people I have worked with over the years that have worked with it only one of them was a big fan. Most of them use MySQL or another open source RDBMS for web development. I have used Oracle, SQLServer (including their free low capacity server MSDE and now SQLExpress) and a little MySQL but I work mainly in Healthcare / Public Health environments where the big names get a lot more play in the IT departments.
  2. Seems much snappier to me, Don!
  3. Bob, To be clear, I did "get" your sense of humor... and was not worried about how long I had known you. In fact, honestly, I am not sure that no matter how long I know you, the thought of you in the little beaded blue number would get any better at all. Just sayin'. Sunday was so nice too that Nina and I rode down to Warm Springs for lunch. What a nice weekend it was overall.
  4. Warrior, No worries... BlackJack has just retired from the M&E organization business since his real business is doing so well. I was talking to Bob (AtlantaDragonSlayer) today at the show and I think we are going to try to get the GA folks to take turns setting them up to keep it going. On another note, had a very nice time with Bob and Connie today; Lunch and then rode up to the show to look around. The weather was about as good as anyone could ask for January, sunny 60+ and it was all VERY nice until Connie was looking at a beaded pink halter top and Bob allowed that maybe he might get the blue one. Now I have that image to work with! Looking forward to meeting more nice folks.
  5. Replied over there, I am game for at least part of it.
  6. Bob, Sorry I missed this thread... I think I have misunderstood about the bolding of threads... I now think it means "new since the last time you were here" and not "unread by you". I even looked. I can do a breakfast and then the show, but then I have to get back here and help my daughter do some work on her truck and I need to do some plumbing on my RV, because I am an idiot and let some of the pipes freeze. Let me know what you want to do and we will try and make that happen. Thom
  7. North Atlanta Trade center... I had hoped to set up a meet and eat and ride to this event, but things have been nuts at my house / work lately (not a bad thing, just a thing). Anyway, anyone else planning on going tomorrow? Supposed to be sunny and low 60's in the afternoon. The wife and I are planning on going for a while in the afternoon. A link to the venue-show
  8. I served in the USAF with good old Mother MAC (You Call, We Haul). I was a C-5 avionics guy, but worked on C130, C141's whatever landed on our ramp. When I was in Saudi Arabia in 91, this whole "Which branch is better" thing came up (again), my Tactical Airlift CO said: "Don't really much care who kicked the most @ss, but I know for sure who gets the most @sses where they need to be."
  9. Rode the RSTD yesterday and the Triumph today. Chilly in the AM, but not too bad in the afternoon and the roads have finally cleared after SNOMG! 2011.
  10. Wow, for a minute I thought it might be me... but nope, my dog is black and white and my jacket is orange.
  11. Here in Atlanta, let me say that was just PAINFUL to watch...
  12. Yep, Welcome back Steve... hope you heal up quick and Randy... I sure hope you are right!
  13. Well, this week I have spent a good deal of time in the garage looking out beyond the clear driveway at the icy street... and making motorcycle noises.
  14. I concur!
  15. The Night before leaving for Christmas vacation my 05 RSTD started leaking gas when I started it. Instead of panicking, I came here, and one quick search later figured out I had a stuck float. Back home now and drained / tapped the carbs and unstick it. Sea foam in the tank and carbs now. Not for the first time, I think " wow, that was $12 well spent"
  16. Happy New Year to all you nice folks here. You have already made me smile, laugh, and kept me from panic at little bike troubles. Hope to meet some of you in 2011!
  17. Me! but I am only as far north as Atlanta so that is not too impressive.
  18. I agree!!!! Both my bikes are going out for a spin today. Have not ridden in over a week... of course I was out of town.
  19. Awesome! She has a very good voice!
  20. I have 2. had a 16GB and just bought a 64 GB on Black Friday and gave the 16 to my wife. Great device and I am not an Apple fanboy.
  21. Happy Thanksgiving, new friends!
  22. A guy in my CDC riding group rides a ZERO... no motor-generator... so no engine braking action of any kind. That would take some real getting used to.
  23. Looks like just the thing! I can see a set of those in my near(ish) future.
  24. That is why it was so surreal, but then I realized have no back story for any of it except that he lived in Brazil for 15 years and still has many friends there. The retirement, of course, I knew was coming but the divorce I had no idea. I have only met his wife a couple of times and do not really know anything about their relationship. He made it seem like it should have happened a long time ago and that they were both happier this way. In the end, as acquaintances and riding friends what we have in common is a love of riding (and my youngest daughter played soccer for a couple of years with his oldest granddaughter) and so it was just a list of reasons that our next ride won't be till spring; the rest is details.
  25. Funny you should say that... your town, McRae, is one of my favorite little towns in GA. Like Monticello it is a multi-crossroads town. (and y'all have that nifty Statue of Liberty). My daughter and I are trying to cross off all the covered bridges in GA, I think we have only the ones in the NW corner to go (save the one in Callaway Gardens that is not reachable at this time, by any vehicle or on foot). I love the county idea. The folks in Delaware will have to do something else though, because I was stationed there for years and can tell you with only 3 counties it is just a day trip.
