I have removed the AIS system from my 2006 RSTD. I crimped the tubes and that shut off the nipples from the heads. How can I plug these tubes if I remove the original pipes/packing/clamps?

Nice you made it to tell this tale. I always watch my mirrors at a stop.

What kind of caps can you plug the AIS tube with? This area gets hot and I would worry about rubber caps. -

My buddy has those on his brake levers. Makes the brakes light up and flash, go dim and then come onagain. Drives me crazy following him with that light show.

Any pipe or cigar smokers here? I have smoked a pipe for years. I like Prince Albert tobacco. I have recently taken up cigars. I like the Manacandu cigars. Any suggestions on cigars from the crowd?

Justy as a footnote and to tell how great a Bell helmet is I have a true story. I was riding my Husqvarna 400 in a heat and was presented with hitting the mud or climbing a small hill through the brush. I chose the brush. Then I found out that someone had left a cement block in the brush. I remember hitting the block and it got quiet. I remember looking over at my bike and watching it slowly turning over in the air. I remember the hard crash that rang my bell when my head hit that block on desent. I remember getting up and dusting myself off and running to the bike to shut it off. I remember looking at my Bell helmet with the horrible gash in the side and thanking the Almighty for breathing another day. I also am a fan of HJC helmets.

I had two stents put in a year ago. I always had a head scarf on when riding. Then I was introduced to Plavix for my heart. With that drug a tiny cut bleeds a gallon of blood. I started wearing a helmet to alliviate the serious repercussions if I cut my head in an accident. Head wounds are the most serious loss of blood in the body. I have worn this helmet for a year. I feel like I left my pants at home if I do not have it on. I think, no....I know helmets save lives. I was a cop for 14 years and have seen some bad things happen with both cars and bikes. I still wore the rag on my head when on the bike. Now I do not leave the drive without a helmet. Just my 2 cents.

I have an oscallating headlamp on the bike also. White RSTD, white helmet, leather jacket and oscallating light. I call it the cop bike. Believe it or not I have had people pull to the side of the road thinking the police were behind them.

I bought the p/n 7976 offst pegs from my local dealer today. They are made by Kuryakin. I could not be more pleased with the fit amd comfort. I would reccomend them to anybody wanting that style peg. Now for a mudflap..... -
I like this with a white bike.

I was looking at the longhorns. My local dealer tells me he can fix it up for under $150. Might try them. Thanks. -

Not that UPS would not find out about and nail me to the barn door, LOL. We can boost the speed but our dealer id goes in the log. -

Not at the naval base. Had a girlfriend that moved to Jax from Ohio and I kept in touch. Kept in touch about one week out of the year actually. I got married and she did the same. I really like that area though. Loved St Augustine. Great little restarant named Aldos was in St A. -

Anybody have some suggestions for a front fender mud flap to keep the dirt off the radiator? Also I want to add some hiway pegs to the little front crash bars. I would like an adjustable offset style to put the boots on when freeway riding. Any good suggestions that you have used?
