Anybody have the Kuyakyn switch that makes the rear lights, brake lights and turn signals all work? I had them on the Harley and they were great. They were plug ins though. The Yammie type are wire ins . Also where can I get beehive red rear lenses?

I know the feeling. Sitting on the bike in the garage. Bouncing up and down on the seat. Two big fans blowing on you to simulate the wind. Steppenwolf 'Born to be Wild" playing on the CD player. Your girlfriend using a slingshot to shoot bugs at your facesheild. AHHH, garage riding in the Ohio winter. BTW, I do wear a helmet 99% of the time. MoS

Sorry to hear you could not do the Doobie Bros concert. I saw them a few years ago at Blossum in Ohio. 2nd row, middle stage. I shook hands with two of them. They played with Chicago that night. Hope you get the chance to see them in the future. MoS

I went to the MD event today and can say I was quite impressed. Unfortunately I got a phone call that required I head home. I plan on attending next year and camping overnight. Great bunch of people and a load of tech information was available. Dumb as I am I learned some things in the 1 1/2 hours I was able to be there. Good job Freebird! You looked busy and I did not get a chance to talk to you. I will be mailing you a check for a donation for your expenses. Nice we have people that will take the time to do things like this. Thanks MoS

I have. I have got the low also. I am a member of Concerned Motorcyle Riders of Ohio. (CMRO) We are a 501c3 tax exempt organization that does 8 charity runs a year. For those of you that attend bike runs. Make sure where your money is going. Make sure the bar owner is not pocketing it. If they are not 501c3 they have to pay taxes on the donations. Most bars dont do that. Every bar in town is having a charity run these days. Just depends on whos charity. All of my groups funds go back into Ashtabula County charities. Our group does six runs that are dry. Alcohol and motorcycles with lime makes for a bad day. We do two runs that stop at bars. We police our people well and spend more time on the road than at the rail. Ride safe my freinds. My apoligies for the rant. This is important to me.

Are any vendors going to have the meter for the sychronization of the carbs for sale? -
Not at Sears? Try Snapon if not.

Great to hear Starfan. Welcome to the stent club. I am 54 years old. I kept getting pain in my left shoulder and chest. I joked with a buddy at work that had two heart attacks and asked him numerous times "whats a heart attack feel like?' He told me to quit fooling around and go to a Dr. I blew him off with a grin. Then one morning at work I had the big one. My left chest hurt and went down my left arm. Then the icepicks went into my neck and I could not breathe. I laid on the floor for 5 or 10 minutes before anybody noticed me. Then the amulance hauled me out to the hospital. The Doc did a cath and told me I was getting a stent. I did not have heart damage, just severe angina. I was blocked 70/75 % in my heart arteries. Whoa! I dont need that! Im 54! They took me into surgery and I watched my heart beat on a screen as the Doc inserted the stent. The he smiled at me and said "George you are getting two today." I remember he was playing 'Start me up' by the Stones in the background. After a few days I felt warmer and had more pep than I had in years. I have put alot of HARD miles on this body and thank God that he gave me another chance to enjoy my life. Now I have to cut down the steaks and burgers. I think you would agree that if you dont feel right see your doctor.

The thing I worry about is the metrics. If it was standard USA thread I could make it at the shop. The nipples that you air up at are male thread. They have schreader valves in them like a tire. -

Oil filter brand
Galapagos replied to Galapagos's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
99.9% of the oil filters sold by jobbers (NAPA, Walmart, AutoZones) are made to cover the original manufacturers specs. The OEM cannot by Federal law deny warranty because a certain filter (the bike or car manufacturers) was not used. Caterpillar tried denying warranty because a Cat filter was not used at the maintenence schedule. They got wacked with some heavy fines and lawsuits over that one. You can use any reputable filter or oil and still be covered under OEM warrantY. The product must meet the OEM's specs. Thats the law. -
I have been using the NAPA Gold filter on the RSTD with Shell Rotella 15-40. Good enough for a 500 HP diesel then it must work well in a bike. Same or better SAE values. What is the general concensus on filter brands? I am switching back to K&N oil filters. Always had good luck with them and the Harleys. Or is NAPA (made by Wix) OK?

Would I be able to convert the crossover from a first gen to my 2006 RSTD? There used to be a kit available but they quit selling it.
