  1. 3m double sided tape. they also make a superior glue for decals, weatherstriping and trim... a tad expensive but worth it. n
  2. As small (and narrow) as they are making cars these days, I wouldn't be surprised when someone decides they want to put motorcycle tire(s) on a car...LOL:rotfl:
  3. He may be a ex Harley rider.... and, we all know they can't drive past a dealership without stopping....
  4. to find a business: http://www.anywho.com/yellowpages type in: Yamaha dealers WV or use the white pages for indivual searches
  5. Rv's are basically cars... they depreciate just as fast plus you get to insure essentially a $100,000 Porsche........... trailers depreciate slower but are measured from the center of the hitch so you loose at least 3 feet. Fifth wheels are the best to retain their value and you gain at least three feet and a queen sized bed to boot! also more stable to tow. Things to remember about campers: Hook them up to the tow vehicle when a storm approaches and they are covered as far as insurance goes... Buy an aluminum frame when possible(less likely to leak) Never heard of r-vision?
  6. That it is...

  8. If your careful with a Mapp Gas tourch you can heat the nut and it will break the bond of any loc tite that was applied. Let a water hose dribble around fork and inside of axel as the ONLY thing you want to expand is the Nut. I don't let anyone else work on my bike, especially a underpaid youngun with an attitude and impact wrench. Although... I don't see anything wrong with using an impact "to take something off":confused24: B4 you heat it I always use the sharp rap trick. Take a blunt flat head chisel and give it a couple of good raps on a flat area of the nut with a nice size peen hammer. This also works on screws using regular screwdrives ...
  9. Carb cleaner and needle nose pliers. Will make rubber greasier than all get out and dries fast. Also use this to put on rubber hoses that don't want to cooperate....
  10. I've used FRAM and Super Tech filters all my life and have never had a problem with either. As for oil.... I stick with Yamalube... Since there's a clutch in there with the engine oil, made a decision long ago not to give the stealerships a reason to void my warranty, and keep the recipts to prove it.
  11. Don, Don't know about anyone else but, I was really dissapointed in your choice of words for this threads title... Damn Tease...
  12. I stick a 2x4 under the kickstand on my second gen. Close enough to level for me. Just leave it in first gear and make sure the sight glass is at the half way mark. (no more).
  13. Dacheedah "Well, I hope you wear proper hearing protection if you intend on shooting something like that... Pilgrum" spoken in my best John Wayne voice
  14. I'll be on stand-by with my 357 Ruger Security-six. Just in case it needs a hole in it...LOL
  15. Yammer, The hornets neighbors were some yellow jackets the day i killed the hornets one bit me at 3pm. i backed the bullozer up shut it off and there were 40 or so of the little ba%$#&s flying around. Quit for the day but ill be back with gas and a couple of rags. Bleach?... I'll give it a try. my wife put some water baking soda and put on bites. The dozer is a 1959 John deere 440 3 cyl GM Diesel that I restored. It is a sweet little machine and weighs in at 6000lb or 3 tons. easily trailered by my 3/4 ton Chevy 4 x 4. The hood is off because i have to take the radiator off this fall and have the top repaired /replaced (hence the large blue water jug)
  16. You'll either love it or hate it... I love mine but I alternate between stock seat, airhawk and then sheepskin. (on the +500 mi. a day rides) When i rode out west on my 650 vstar with stock seat i bought a airhawk for the trip back. My tail bones had gotten so sore i could barely sit AirHawk was Instant relief!
  17. Penny and I will pray for her, your son and family.
  18. Not if I place a thin aluminum plate under the fan so that it has to pull air in from the sides... concept borrowed from laptop cooler pad.... But with slideeable areas I can see where you could also heat it Thanks Freebird
  19. Cougar, Thanks let me know. Kic, no thanks fella.... LOL I'm going to modify a second gen seat by cutting away portions of the bottom and installing a waterproof 90 CFM fan. Then will streech a breathable top across using different materials so entire top surface is porous/breathable. Going to be an interesting challange doing the top as it must be comfortable and look good. And NO IT'S NOT GOING TO BE PINK!
  20. Bump???????????? I'm not lookiNg for GIVE AWAY...(would be nice but I'm realistic) Will pay a reasonable price, but Im taking the vinyl and foam off anyway.
  21. Dan, you had it right, Take the nasty thing out back and put a hole in it. It's 8 YEARS OLD! ! I'm with Skid on this one. For what your doing on a computer you can easily get one for under $500. Heck you can get a good laptop for that...If your wife has one hooked up to a printer that's exactly the route I'd go. Gaurenteed his old one will not/does not have RAM capacity or exapndability and that will really slow it down when loading newer web pages
  22. Brake Pad, that sounds interesting! Ya think Penny would go for my having two vacations in Key West in one year?
  23. OB-1, Thanks I don't know what hurt worse, the bites or the scratches i got running thru the briars (was wearing short pants) When i was a painter we always carrried around kerosene in a spray bottle. Spray the nest, knock it down then apply a match!
  24. Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuch! That had to hurt! The guys obviously not married. doesn't even know enough to not pi$$ off a woman, "They get even".
