  1. Tell them "Welcome home" and "Thank you very much" for your service to this Great country, from Penny and I. My son-in-law Travis, married to my first daughter Annie, deploys to Afganistan this coming January.
  2. Thanks Spitfire9. With yellow jackets its actually better to pour gas in the hole and stuff a rag in it. No need to fire it up!
  3. Penny and I will keep her in our thoughts and prayers.
  4. bongobobby, glad i could help... etcwsjoe, I'm praying for rain, cause it's back in the woods and I'd like nothing more than to wrap a rag on a 10' long stick and soak it in diesel fuel and hold it under the nest. Pretty effective way to get rid of them as long as I don't set the woods on fire.
  5. WV law is just like Florida law...
  6. I felt like I “starred” in it, this afternoon. Bulldozing a steep patch of woods out at the farm when all of a sudden I’m feeling this immense pain on my face, ears, neck and arms, akin to being stabbed repeatedly with a ice pick. Then I noticed the black hornets all around me and my vision started to blur. I throttled back the bulldozed turned the key off and jumped off the right side. Right into a large patch of briars, but, I didn’t feel that as those winged bas&$%ards were still after me. I ran down the bank pulling my tee shirt off as it was covered in hornets. Got very nauseated and headed for the road to flag down a car. Very sick on the stomach. No one stopped.... four cars went by.... Walked to the neighbors house , no one home... Well I climbed up a hill to where I could get a cell phone signal and Called Penny, she came right away... (15 miles away) Mean while unbeknownst to me, mom had called the ambulance Penny got here and after looking, determined I only had 20 or so bites and my eyes were glazed over. Well, mom called said ambulance was on the way and I told her to cancel it. She said 80 hornets will kill a horse but I told her I wasn’t bit with 80. so........... Went to garage to find me a little payback... in the form of a can of wasp and hornet spray . Got the whole way (300 yards) to where nest was. It was hidden in honeysuckle and was 5 ' from the bulldozer seat.and although the can was completely full, it had lost all pressure over the years and it dribbled out. Guess that payback will have to wait... Then I told Penny I was going to ride the bike back, but when I went to put the helmet on $#@^&*(( it hurt bad)) So glad she brought the car. The bikes still at the farm. My ears are still hurting as I write this 5 hours later So... How was your day?
  7. Good video... to bad the perps will probably turn around and sue grandpa. Painterman67, you have the absolute right to do as you please... Period! It's your life... My thoughts on it , as Kic pointed out, things may not be as aparent as they seem. That, and the, "If the tables were turned and i layed down my gun" would they refrain from finnishing me off? Would I take that chance?.... I'm thinking NO! as someone once said " I'm going to have to clean this weapon anyway..."LOL
  8. As Homer would say : Dooooooooooooooah! Ya can fix it with a tube and some foam in a can, then use duct tape tape, If you want to make it look good!
  9. Thanks Guys, experiment continues and everythings going as expected.
  10. I agree, a saftey rider course would help her alot... Heck, my wife and i were thinking about taking an advanced riders course....LOL
  11. Thanks Freebird, Not running any other accessories, except for the two LED tailights on the cooler rack and the LED light bar on my spoiler. Oh... and a stebel horn... everything else stock, no electric hogs like driving lights or heated grips or heated clothing... Was researching an article V7Goose wrote a while back and concluded that since I'm not running driving lights, heated grips(which would put one right on the edge), adding something with this little draw should be no problem at all? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=5042&highlight=voltage+guage
  12. I have a 07 RSV with a stock stator. Need to install something that will draw 5V/.5A/2.5W? Is it possible to do this with the stock stator or will I have to upgrade. Thinking the stock stator won't handle it, so, need one that will. Any suggestions?
  13. Now THAT's funny!
  14. Need a second gen seat. Don't need the foam or the cover just the frame.... Experimenting with an idea I had .
  15. Now that's a name I haven't heard in years..
  16. AtlantaDragonSlayer"Hey Gary when you find the t- shirts let me know I want one. Bob " I'll take one also..........
  17. Thanks friesman... We've got a BINGO! It was under "the cornering Bible" posted by Eck a while back...
  18. BoomerCPO: "The method is known as "counter-steering" and you can teach yourself how to master this very easily by doing slow speed circles and figure 8's in a large parking lot. Boomer....who sez de "Ride Like A Pro" video has a lot to offer on handling ANY motorcycle. " Thanks Boomer, thats what i am looking for. I looked under counter steering and couldn't find it either. Theres a young lady a neighbor of mine and I loaned her my ride like a pro and wanted her to also watch the link one of our members posted here no more than 2 months ago. It was a short video that proved counter steering worked that leaning was ineffective... guess I'll keep looking

  22. Our condolences to you and your family. Joe and Penny Hermsdorfer
  23. No problem PM sent Thanks!
  24. Randy, when are you going to email the ICE information out? A few are heading out early tomorrow. Perhaps a "last call" is in order...
  25. You must have a small inseam also... Mine is 29" and after lowering my RSV 1" inch I can stand flat footed with about zero room between the seat with the stock leveling links.. At low speads 0-5 mph you'll notice a huge improvement! It's the best mod I have done so far.
