I recently picked up 2 identical gold Venture 1200's for $1000. I was pretty excited with my purchase since only 1 thing that was wrong really caught my eye. Neither of them have the cruise control like my 85 1200 did. I was wondering if it would be possible to get the necessary parts from a newer venture, or even buy the royale star venture cruise to modify to work for my bike. I have a spare wiring harness that was designed for the CB but i do not know if it has the correct plug for the cruise control. Any information or if anyone has done this and could lend me some advice would be much appreciated!!! Thank you! -CJ -
Hello guys, its been a long time since I've been on a bike, or even ridden a venture! Well after going through a yamaha v-star 650 and a honda shadow 1100, i'm again looking to trade for a venture. This time i'm getting a 1300 hundred because i would like more options and better transmission. Dad bought a royale star tour deluxe and it really made me want my venture back but hey guys, im back in the saddle again

I am selling my bike for 3K. Its an 85 VR with all the trimmins with 39,000 mi. on it. I love it, but i want something that more suits my age, i'll enjoy a new venture when i have the time and money to enjoy one. Right now, I'm keeping it in the family and getting a V-Star. 3K is alot, so you can tell how much i want to sell it. I'll probably be enjoying this bike for awhile longer!

Going to the east coast and back, gonna be a sleepless voyage. Getting $500, and not getting any hotels or camping just gonna eat at Mc. Donalds, gotta save the cash... should be an adventure!

About %30 of the time when i press my rear shock button. It reads zero, when i press the "M" button to fill it up to about 50, it goes up to 50 really fast on the computer, but not in the shock itself. It does it alot more frequently in the cold. What does this? also after pressing the M and it "fills" when i press the rear button again it says 15 and does it over.... i have an 85 venture royale... anyone know what to do?

Well, i took dads 1500 and rode down to missouri! Just figured i'd stop in and say hi, I miss my Venture!!!!

I know that the 1200's have bad second gears. In second gear if i romp on it it's starts to jump. If i ever go quick anymore i just skip over to third. But either way its a pain. My bikes only got 37000 on it. I know that it is fixable, but for how much... Thank you!

In my personal opinion, its a pain in the ass to put your helmet on everytime you ride. Thats why i hate being younger than 18 and living in nebraska. I always take my bike everywhere, even when i go swimming. I've ridden in trunks 20 miles before, its fun. Just dont let the wind pull your shorts up too high. The girls are usually in awe

"Ugly" Is the same colour, year(?), and is it a royale? But yeah, that's the same exact biek that i have, except i bet you dont have clutch problems!

If you dumped it in a physical spot, just pick it up. It takes quite awhile till mercury poison sets it, i've played with it before and vouche it doesn't do anything right away.

A very good person on the website did me a huge favor. When i asked him the price he told me to pay it foreward. That was always one of my favorite movies in high school, and i really like the philosophy behind it. I believe that the whole pay it foreward thing could possibly be a philosophy that could equal up to world peace. So if anyone does something nice for you, just remember, pay it foreward. -CJ

I had the clutch cylander on top redone awhile ago, it helped temporarily but now the problems back -
You know, that means alot of work for you, but it can also mean a much more integrated and useful site for us. Thats alright though, it just makes that 12 dollars much more worth the money, even though it already is worth every penny!
