  1. I dont know about the second gens but i'd put heavier duty clutch springs in if possible. Mine will do it very rarely, sometimes i think it depends on the oil temp.
  2. You know, he's a great guy and he helps us all out alot. If there is any Karma at all, its surely gonna nurse him back to health and he'll be riding by thursday
  3. Is it basically a big, slow rolling sideways vortex of doom? Cuz thats what it looked and felt like
  4. i would assume that effort wise, you'd be better just to replace the whole unit, if you could get ahold of one. If anything, break em out, that'll solve two problems :{P
  5. I have a really sweet 89 Venture now, and I feel a little strange for owning 3 at a time, so I want a v-max. The Drag car of the bike world. Anyone have any leads. Cash is short right now, so i would really prefere a trade. I made a really nice, running 83 out of the two i have. The one just needs a rear master cylinder. The other one needs the carbs put together and both will run just fine. I have the fairings and all other plastic torn off the the one that doesnt currently run. The one that does run has like 28 thousand miles, and the one that doesnt have 58k. The one with 58k ran until i tore it apart for carb parts.
  6. Well last sunday was a beautiful day, it was hot, windy and there were all sorts of clouds in the sky. I put on about 140 miles and decided it was time to head home. I'd been listening to a tape all day so i turned on the radio to hear a severe weather outbreak warning for my area. Actually, not my area, more like about 30 counties surrounding me. They warned of torrential winds and baseball sized hail, so i decided to book it home. I got to a town that was 16 miles away from home and a big black wall cloud was the only thing stopping me from being in a cage, actually able to run into the thing. I decided if i go real fast i might get through it before it gets bad. Do things really turn out like that in life? I should be the one to say hell no. It was a downpour, which didnt bother me (what are the fairings for anyways right?), but then i noticed everything around me getting louder, and the bike getting pushed off the road. I then heard a slight *chink sound, and then another and another. I managed to pull over, do a quick U-Turn and gunned it straight back into the town i was just in. I managed to get out of the storm, which was predominately moving north, as i was moving east and this sort of caught my eye. The part on the right of the picture was on the ground, pushing winds at well past 70 and indeed throwing hail sideways. I was lucky i didnt get in the middle of it. But i put the bike under a lean-to and also watched to funnel clouds rotating from the ground up across the road from me. Needless to say it was a wet and wild ride
  7. Its probably just some scrap metal collecters on their way to weigh in.
  8. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. No parent should ever have to endure the loss of one of their own children. Condolences to you and your family and remember time heals all wounds.
  9. Please send an email out before you do as I cannot afford it at this moment
  10. From personal expeirince your cuttin 'er close at 120, I dont remember exactly the RPM's but my bike wouldnt go any faster cuz the clutch was slipping pretty bad
  11. I was fourteen in 07. I started on a 77 KZ650
  12. My mustang got in a little wreck and I found a 92 trans am for 340 bucks. I bought it before even looking at the odomoter. I got going down the road and i looked down and saw it only had 113xxx miles on it. But anyways back to my question, I want to put a 350 LT1 fuel injected motor into it, can i still run the tranny that's in it now?
  13. Yeah, we got plenty here in nebraska, so i decided i'd share some with you, hope you appreciate it!
  14. Central Time zone, im out of nebraska. I noticed you tried to call last night, i was in bed cuz i had class in the morning, i get out at 11 my time, 12 your time, so if your awake anytime after that let me know

  16. Congrats im 18 and am an uncle to 11. Lets just say my folks are a little old
  17. Be interested in a little trade? A blonde 83 and some cash for your car maybe?
  18. Well my roomate drove my 94 mustang into a 2011 GMC Cierra. Well my hoods a little smashed, so i was wondering if anyone had a 94-02 parts mustang for sale?
  19. My 85 had the same problem. I replaced the the clutch springs with heavier duty ones, and that helped some, but i could still get it to slip. My bike didnt even have 30K miles on it. I would suggest the whole clutch especially for 120
  20. So if you put a bulb that pulls more wattage in, does the bike just give it that much more wattage? Or do you have to put an amp or something like that on?
  21. Ok cool thanks alot! Its starting to sound like an easier project than what i first thought! Will definately save me a few thrown tools for sure!
  22. i do agree that that is probably the best way to go, but as a broke college kid without $300 to his name, the free idea with more work involved works for me a little better
  23. The bike that im putting the CB in didnt have one before, so will the radio thats already in it wire up right to the 5 Pin harness?
  24. The bike with the CB has a shot antanne, so i think i need a different one anyways
