jac offerd a pair of Diamond R passenger hwy pegs up for sale at a great price. He claimed they were in great shape and since I had been considering getting a set for the boss, I jumped on them. Sent the paypal Sunday afternoon but for some reason (probably my fault) it didnt take the shipping fee. I got that sent out Monday AM. Got home from work Tuesday afternoon and there they were. Wow! That was fast. Not only fast, I dont see a scratch or blemish anywhere. Not what I expected for a used part. Thanks Jac!

Me and the wife both quit at the same time. We both smoked 3 packs a day for many years. The first 2 months were tough but then gradually got easyer. It's been 9 years now and I havent had the urge to light up in a long long time. We both find the odor of cigarets repulsive now. One of the things that helped get me over the ruff spots was to hum. It sounds silly I know but it helps relive stress. Try it. Hang in there. It does get easyer and soon, you won't miss it at all.

Great Game...............................
Motorcycle Mike replied to Aussie Annie's topic in Watering Hole
I thought it was a good game as far as super bowls go. They are usualy lop sided boreathons. My problem is, if your going to make it last 4 hours with commercials and a half time show no one wants to see, start the f-ing thing at 4pm. 11:00 is way too late to be up on a Sunday when ya gota get up at 3:00 on Monday, or for kids to be up on a school night. -
Thanks! I have rode that route, didnt know it had a name. We really like the Switzerland Inn. The have a great NY strip steak there.
-
Rode it many times. Hell Bender, hwy 28 is alot more fun IMHO. What, Where is the rooster tail?

Here's another vote for clocks for bikes. Their a mom and pop company that realy stand behind their product.

I like the progressive lenses. The fact that you can kinda fine tune your vision by simply rocking you head up or down is a plus to me. They do take a little getting used to tho. I had Sams Club copy my prescripton once. Never could get those right. The ones I get at my regular optomitrist are never a problem. Maybe the problem is where your getting them. Iduno

Theres a whole lot of folks with totaly differant results than what MCN came up with. I'm one of them. I was sceptical too. But after hearing so many positive stories I gave them a try. My VTX is noticably smoother with Dyna Beads than with out. Gyro stabilaty? Is that supposed to mean the bike is harder to lean into a curve? BS, I havent noticed any differance in this area. I dont understand why you would put down a product that in your own words "I didn't have any real information or first hand experience with the product." It seems you still don't have any first hand experience, only what you have read in a magazine, unless theres something your not telling. So why bash the product? When the RSV is ready for new tires. Dyna Beads are going in.
-
But it's chrome! Isn't there a law about taking chrome OFF a bike?

Sounds like some long days ahead. We'll keep Y'All in our prayers.

I've been using Zooke paste for a couple of years. It works fairly well but needs to be applied every few days. I would love to hear of any first hand knowledge of this product.
-
Hmm. I have Dyna Beads in my VTX and it is definatly smoother than when it had the weights on it. When the RSV is due tires, I'll put Dyna Beads in it also. I know lots of people with the same findings as me.

Me: 98 Dodge Ram 1500 It's got about 90K on it. Been a good truck and I expect to drive it for a good while longer. Her: 04 Honda CRV Got about 70K. It's a good vehicle. Not very flashy but dependable. I wish the seats were a little larger but think the seats in all Japanese cars a on the small side.

My favorite breakfast is at the Dillard House in Dillard Ga. About as close to home cooking youll find in a resturant. When you get done eating your set up for some great mtn. riding. http://www.dillardhouse.com/restaurant-menu-4.php

My original plans were to head up your way tomorrow. However, the wife has come down with the flu. If I get out at all, I'll need to stay close to home. We'll meet up with you soon tho. We're up in your neck of the woods alot.

The fact that days of remembrance have never been included is bad enough. Too many people have forgot already and need to be reminded. But to then put a muslim holiday where one SHOULD have been just pushed my button. It's just more of the erosion of America. No, I don't have a problem with the muslim religion, or any religion, but we are at war with radical muslims and I have no personal knowledge of any muslims denouncing the radicals actions. This I have a problem with. I could go on but I can get pretty passionate about this stuff. Probably best that I just let it go. It's gona be in the 50s Thursday and Friday and I'm nearly done with the house. I feel a ride coming on.

Publix has decided to put Dec. 7 as the islamic new year instead of Pearl Harbor Day. As an American, U.S. Army vet and the son of a WWII vet, this upsets me greatly. I will NEVER spend another penny in publix again. Hope you take your money elswhere too. http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/publix.asp
