Publix has decided to put Dec. 7 as the islamic new year instead of Pearl Harbor Day. As an American, U.S. Army vet and the son of a WWII vet, this upsets me greatly. I will NEVER spend another penny in publix again. Hope you take your money elswhere too. http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/publix.asp

2 inches of snow in Atlanta is a disaster. In fact, just the mention of snow causes havok. They have predicted UP TO 2 inches for this afternoon/tonight and schools have already let out early. I'm looking out my office window at very very small snow flakes falling. By the time I get off at five, traffic will be grid locked. There wont be a loaf of bread or a gallon of milk on the store shelfs. It's nut's.

Is it a personal preference in regards to having a swivel hitch? I think that is what it is called. Being able to lean the bike somewhat while the trailer stays level. Any dangers in not having it? Any dangers in having it? I have been pulling a trailer with my VTX for a couple of years without a swivel. Drug floorboards many times with no ill effects. I've only pulled it behind the RSV once so far. Time will tell if the greater lean angle of the RSV will pose a problem. If on a long trip and want to unhitch it so you can ride w/out the trailer, what do you do for security to make sure the trailer is still there when you get back? I do understand too that if someone wants to take it, they will find a way. I carry a 10' chain and pad lock and chain it to what ever is available. But it's true, If they want it, they will get it. Please share which trailer you bought and why. Pics welcome too. I pull an MCT by Aluma. I looked at ALOT of trailers and feel the Aluma had the most to offer for a moderate price. About $1700. I'm very pleased with it http://www.alumaklm.com/mct_towable_motorcycle_trailer.html Like I mentioned before I like the black one from HF partly because it is black and don't have to repaint. It also already comes w/ the diamond plating. black HF trailer The Aluma is available in black with polished diamond plate I see that it does not mention anything about what type of suspension it has (if any). Some (not all) mention leaf spring. Overall thoughts on that one vs. the others? The Aluma has a torsion suspension.

Me and my bride Shirley on the BRP last summer.

I had to go check the garage to see if mine was still there. Did you trade? If so, what did they give you for the VTX?

My last ride of the year will most likely be on December 31st. The first ride of the year will be on New Years day. I just love living in the south.

I have had two of of the cheaper lifts fail within two years of purchase. Wish I had bought the Craftsman first. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00950191000P?vName=Tools&cName=Auto+%26+Mechanics+Tools&sName=Lift+Equipment+%26+Jacks

Cool! Thanks for the link. -
I agree with the need to wear ear plugs but can't find any that I really like. They are either uncomfortable or cut out too much sound. It appears the sound reduction on these plugs is about what I'm looking for. How's the comfort?

Is there a story about Steve I need to hear?
-
I just wanted to say thanks to SteveW for synking my carbs. Steve and I had never met or even conversed yet he invited me to his home so he could fix me up. Thanks Steve. I also want to say thanks to 86er for the offer to do the same. I accepted Steves offer over 86er's mainly because the roads near Steves place are some of the best in Ga.

Motorcycle Mike replied to starkruzen's topic in Watering Hole
Bought my new 09 on 9-11-09. I have managed 5000 miles even tho we had a 500 year flood and I'm in the middle of remodeling the house. Almost done with the house. We'll do some serious riding soon. -

I went through two differant "bargain" lifts before buying the Sears pro. Sure wish I had bought it first. Ya get what ya pay for. -

Need to syncronise the carbs on my 09 venture. Home remodeling has eaten all my tool buying funds. Anyone in North Ga. have the tools and want to hold my hand while doing this for the first time?
