I had to go check the garage to see if mine was still there. Did you trade? If so, what did they give you for the VTX?

My last ride of the year will most likely be on December 31st. The first ride of the year will be on New Years day. I just love living in the south.

I have had two of of the cheaper lifts fail within two years of purchase. Wish I had bought the Craftsman first. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00950191000P?vName=Tools&cName=Auto+%26+Mechanics+Tools&sName=Lift+Equipment+%26+Jacks

Space Shuttle & ISS sightings this week
Motorcycle Mike replied to Mike G in SC's topic in Watering Hole
Cool! Thanks for the link. -
I agree with the need to wear ear plugs but can't find any that I really like. They are either uncomfortable or cut out too much sound. It appears the sound reduction on these plugs is about what I'm looking for. How's the comfort?

Is there a story about Steve I need to hear?

I just wanted to say thanks to SteveW for synking my carbs. Steve and I had never met or even conversed yet he invited me to his home so he could fix me up. Thanks Steve. I also want to say thanks to 86er for the offer to do the same. I accepted Steves offer over 86er's mainly because the roads near Steves place are some of the best in Ga.

Motorcycle Mike replied to starkruzen's topic in Watering Hole
Bought my new 09 on 9-11-09. I have managed 5000 miles even tho we had a 500 year flood and I'm in the middle of remodeling the house. Almost done with the house. We'll do some serious riding soon. -

I went through two differant "bargain" lifts before buying the Sears pro. Sure wish I had bought it first. Ya get what ya pay for. -

Need to syncronise the carbs on my 09 venture. Home remodeling has eaten all my tool buying funds. Anyone in North Ga. have the tools and want to hold my hand while doing this for the first time?

I'm a wood worker. Started back around 1970. Build almost anything except chairs. Started doing it for profit but found deadlines and budgets took all the fun out of it. And most people just don't apprieciate, or realize how much work and money goes into real, hand made, hardwood furniture. I used to hear, HOW MUCH!!!??? I can get that down at the xyz store for 1/3 of that. Do it for my own pleasure now. The problem is, the bikes share garage space with my tools. They always have a layer of sawdust on them.

How many has plugged your car/truck tire ?
Motorcycle Mike replied to Hummingbird's topic in Watering Hole
I carry a Slime pump along with a plug kit with me. http://www.gadgetjq.com/slime_pump.htm The pump doesnt take up much space in the bag. It can be bought at most auto part stores, Walmart etc. -

The corded plugs look like small pieces of rope coated with glue. -

I have plugged quite a few motorcycle tires as well as car/truck tires. I always use corded plugs and run them till the tire is worn out. Never had one fail. -
2 Child Molesters get caught Finlay!!
Motorcycle Mike replied to ArticusMedicus's topic in Watering Hole
This kind of stuff really angers me. I hope these two pieces of dung NEVER get out of prison. I agree with the advice to make sure your son gets counseling. -
Please add me to the list. Thanks!
