Ok guys trying to plan out my ss1000 for this summer, date still kinda open wondering if anyone would be interested in riding along. Looking at leaving traverse city Mi around 6am heading to I-75 then south to Crittenton Ky where I will be turning around and heading back. Looks like about 19 or 20 hours. Gonna be hard and fast and not your usual site seeing cruise but should be a blast. But if anyone is interested please let me know.

LOVE the clearview xxl I got for mine, I'm 6'6" so its perfect for me easy to see over if needed, just seems to work all the way around for me. And the wifey loves it. -
i soldered in a couple wires to the contacts of the switch and mounted a new switch behind my seat so as i pull in the drive i reach back and hit the button simple and works great!! just my 2 cents...

Wellll... after going thru 2 pairs of those crappy adjure 20 dollar special passing lamps, I have decided to go with a sealed beam from napa 70,000cp 55wt. Got one reinstalled on the bike and WOW I love it. Go to install #2 and for the life of me that metal ring for the sealed beam grew legs and split!!! I have searched and searched so now I ask for your help. Any chance someone has one laying around I could get?? Please let me know ASAP Thanks Guys

Hwy 2 in the south is beautiful and paradise mi is very nice area taquamenon falls is also a favorite stop of mine when i get up there just my 2 cents

Ok guys hope to get a little, help my brother in law has the vulcan 500 and asked me to do a few maintenance projects on it, well last ride he took she started rattling pretty bad and i am thinking the automatic cam chain tensioner took a poop on it was wondering how rough this is to change out? Read the book and it doesnt seem that bad but wanted opions from guys that may have replace one of these, please let me know any info or advise you guys can thanks so much....

dealer quoted me 85 so i bought the carbtune pro for 95 have used it 3 times so far so its paid for its self already

Just wanted to chime in, I have noticed a lil poping on decel and the engine seemed a lil rough at cruising speed. After reading several post I was thinking time to check the carb sync, called my local STEALER who wants $85 to sync them up (freaking nuts). After watching on this site I saw a post about the price of the morgan carbtune pro being lower due to the exchange rate so I pulled the trigger and got the carbtune pro with case for 93 otd. Rocket fast shipping 8 days to northern michigan, then came my problem. I have always said I am a jack of all trades master of none lol and have done my share of wrenching but when it comes to something new I always get a lil nervous. I have to say this site is so beyond worth the 12 bucks with all the write ups and pictures it was actually a breeze. I took my time, made several adjustments and got them just about perfect, should have took pictures but camera was dead, man what a difference!!! Now I guess this is a big thank you message and a question, does $85 sound right to have a dealer do this? I mean even with a miller lite break it didnt take more than 40 mins so just wondering if they were trying to bend me over. And as far as the thank yous that is for everyone on this site and to Don just have to say you have created so much more than just a website here, I would have been lost and paying for what was a fairly simple job. I will be a member here till the end!!!! Well enough rambling just had to say how happy i was to find this site!!

Rode my bike to work (as most days) and either mon or tues a couple on a black rsv pulled into my parking lot at olsens plaza in petoskey, they pulled right up and looked at my bike for a minute so I head out to say hello as they pulled off. They headed south on US-31 just wondering if it was anyone from here?

Thats the one I run with, put down marine plywood and then took a fabric rooftop cargo box for cars and built a wooden frame for inside it, added the cooler up front and it works great at least thats my 2 cents

If you read the classified ad it explains it alot better, but he reshapes and refoams with memory foam and covers it all back up but boy it is softer... I guess more form fitting may be a better way of saying it he also cuts in a nice tailbone relief area and you can feel the difference with that in a couple miles NO PRESSURE POINTS very comfortable feels like I bought a new seat -
Oh my goodness!!!!:dancefool:What a difference!!!! Got them back on last night and headed out for about a hour ride on Old Mission Peninsula and WOW. Its like a totally different seat. So much more comfortable!! I have to say this is probably the best upgrade I have done to the pearl thanks so much Rick you really saved my a**!!! Bring on that Saddlesore1000!!!!!!!

My wife mounts from the left as well but everything else the same with the front breaks held till shes on so plus 2 for the right

I switched to the rotella t6 this spring and its smoother, shifts like butter and the whine isnt gone but quieter on mine, just my couple pennys worth
