  2. Time to remove the radio controller and ohm out each of the switches both off and on. You may find that a switch or two do not go to zero ohms when depressed. You may also find a little corrosion on the board or under the switches. Good luck finding new switches and if you do, let me know where...
  3. Yah!! We are suffering from PMS up here big time!!
  4. That would be my guess as well, the slave cylander. You can get a rebuild kit off ebay fairly cheap. Yes, you should flush the system and use synthetic brake fluid as well...
  5. Yah, that tab had me going for a little while too when I rebuilt my clutch master cylander last summer. You are very welcome for the parts. I have accumulated quite a few crash bars over the last couple of years from ebay trying to find a "perfect" pair. Most of them were in worse condition than what was on my bike. If you haven't found saddlebags yet, I have a pair with a key that need repainting from my '85 parts bike. Sorry, the trunk is going on my '84...
  6. I thought they were a pretty nice bike, but I'm not sure I would bring one home either. Actualy, I am waiting to see what the new 3rd Gen Ventures are like instead...
  7. Wow, a Diesel bike, now there's a radical concept!!!
  8. Absolutely not!!! There ae a lot of drivers out there that are dangerous at 3 mph much less high speeds. Of course, I would never break the speed limit
  9. Yah, Jack, I wonder just how many things we have overdid on each other. Nytreprtvr...
  10. Ventureriders is a huge part of my reality and I have made many great friends thru it!! THANKS, DON!!!!
  11. They may be on my "watch list" but if you give me your ebay name I will make sure I don't bid against you...
  12. A little difficult to enter and exit, and turtle like acceleration but kinda cool looking. With the economy going in the direction it is, it may be a good choice. Looks a lot better than the smart car which reminds me of a refrigerator box on wheels...
  13. You may also want to try "Greased Lightening" which is on the same lines as 409. Works pretty good for me...
  14. Those front fairing frames show up on ebay all the time. Looks like you have a lot of plastic to replace or repair. At least you are in one piece!
  15. Duct Tape and Bailing Wire should fix just about any problem... Have some chewing gum handy too!
  16. Wewll, if you can't find any leaks in either the lines or the fittings, then I suppose the problem could be the solenoid on the module mounted to your rear fender. How fast does it leak down??
  17. Hmmm, Don, now you have me thinking... Gotta find a critter playing a set of bongos!
  18. Whoopie!! I'm the high bidder at $109, but reserve not met! Somebody please outbid me, it's a 1300...
  19. You might start at JCWhitney. The only possible problem is the charging system not being to keep up with the load but you should be OK if you don't have a bunch of other accessories tacked on. You want grips for 7/8" handlebars...
  20. If it stops looking like a Harley and starts looking more like a Yamaha touring bike and has FI I would consider selling Goldie and buying one...
  21. I think one of the coolest ones I ever saw was the one on the back of mikentinamidnight that has a button and when you push it, the little guy makes all sorts of vroom type motorcycle sounds! The little guy has a helmet and a goofy look. Laughed my butt off when I saw and heard it...
  22. Ditto, what Squid said...
  23. None yet only because e haven't found one to "adopt" yet but I'm sure we will some day...
  24. Group rides...
  25. Is one cylander still out? THe tach problem could be either the solder connections on the pins of the connector for the cable on the dash. You also may have problems ith the connectors for the pickup coils...
