  1. Just about as far away from you as it can be
  2. Dan, Shell is the 1st time I have heard of anyone having problems with Speed Bleeders. I have them on the '99 and loved them, I'll put a set on the next bike I get too
  3. I agree with the others, I would have told him to get bent and walked out. I know you like this bike, but there isn't anyone on the planet that would tell me that. Then I would have said fine I'll go right back to my YAMAHA...such arrogence by some of the H/D dealers is unbelieveable I do hope that you get rid of that H/D and back on an RSV
  4. Where is it at Dan
  5. Good info Shell, let us know how you like the rearend and brake upgrades

    new tires

Bill, Mind you what I'm about to say is my personal opinion, but here it is regardless. I have run the narrower front on my '99 and in a high wind situation I was tossed around more easily than with the 150 series (stock size) tire. I made and installed leveling links and went back to the stock size and it was the same feeling as the narrow front tire as far as responsiveness. But it was more stable in a windy situation, my personal choice is stock size and level links as long as your not any shorter than say 32" inseam as they will bring the bike up a bit. Ahoutzer put up the heavy load index rear tire also, thats the one you want as it's 160 lbs higher on the weight rating.
  7. Thats good info George, definitely something that we'll keep in the tech library
  8. I'm glad that you were able to take the next step my friend. We talked about exactly this when we saw you last. Many more days are ahead that will be hard, but you always know that the phone is on and we are just an hours ride away. I'm very proud of you that you had the courage to make this step. I'm not sure I can say I could do what you did. We love you bro, and your always in our thoughts....see you again soon
  9. Nice one John
  10. Bob Marinara! Funny you show back up, we were just talking about you the other day
  11. 1st gen VS 2nd gen some believe they are in the light, but truly need to cross over to see the whole picture
  12. I didn't see anything bike related Dic....better try again
  13. We would have to sneak them across the border Jeff, USDA is keeping a tight reign on Beef coming in from Canada due to the 1 mad cow they found a few years ago
  14. Thats a good deal for an '02, nothing for miles. I'm really quite surprised that it isn't gone yet
  15. That woman is going to work you right into the grave Froggie, better start some Saturday riding also
  16. Scott, As far as the wires go they are a complete set with the coils, you can't buy just wires and caps. I find it best not to try to soup up the bike, the K&N filters are a good investment. I have always used the stock NGK plugs in my bikes, tried the irridium plugs once and it didn't give me any more performace. That was a waste of money to me I would put new plugs in it if you haven't. One thing that I will say is that make sure that your carbs are properly tuned. If they are off, which many I have seen from the factory are, it will make the bike sluggish. I had a set of the drilled R/K mufflers on mine and that freed up some airflow. My last '99 ran like a banshee and I didn't have it all souped up. There will more than likely be others that will chime in here and give additional advise
  17. As if your one to talk
  18. Robert, I have a PM coming your way
  19. Stuck float, I had it happen on my '99 when I re jetted it. If he doesn't want to take it in just take the back end of a screw driver and gently tap on the bowls. Mine stopped right after I did that, nothing serious.
  20. John, I just noticed that your in Macomb Twp. I'm up in St. Clair Co. in Marine City. I drive probably past you everyday on my way to work in Pontiac. We'll have to get hooked up and if you need a hand with anything give me a shout
  21. I agree with Goose also, it will loosen up the bases and I have seen the antennas break right off. Also too remember that the American flag goes on the right side of the bike
  22. I haven't had the hot ones, but he has the best Pepperettes that I have ever tasted...along with some other Canadian Beef products
  23. I have heard a lot of the same things from others that have ridden the Ultra. It is shorter and there are many that once they have sat on and rode it say they wont buy one. The RSV despite all it's shortcomings and lack of updates is still the best Touring Cruiser on the market....hands down. The reason that I bought my 1st '99 was that Lonna sat on the back and that was all it took. Since she rides with me 90% of the time, it was a no brainer. Sometimes we find out that things aren't always as they appear, hope you get it all figured out soon
  24. One of our own I see I made a set of these on my 1st '99 and got the idea from BuddyRich. I always took off my saddlebags when I washed the bike as I could clean the rim and rear fender better.
