  1. I hate to have to think that way, but the world is a very backwards thinking place from when I was younger and growing up. Glad that you got rid of it and good on you for being the samaritan that you are...I'm proud of you buddy
  2. Good on Him! It's great to hear that there are still some young men that will take charge of their lives and step up to the military. You can let him know this sailor is proud of his committment, Semper Fi.
  3. Glad to hear you got it done
  4.
  5. Welcome to that club....you have been assimilated
  6. I think I would do that also, just drop it off at the cop shop and let it go at that.
  7. I rode Lowells Kawasaki Voyager in Colorado in '07, I believe it was a '92 or so. It was a nice bike and had plenty of power. Low center of gravity and handled well, if you could find a good one I dont think you would go wrong. The engine on them was as bulletproof as the V4 in the Venture. You might want to PM Lowell Wild Hair 39 is his screen name and chat with him.
  8. The truth has been told, this place is like crack.... No not that crack!
  9. Gory Details 1st Venture was an '84 Blonde bought in '04 Then an '86 Brown Then a '99 Silver Then another '99 Silver Then an '86 Urish Black Then an '08 Charcoal Silver Then an '89 Blue and now a '99 in pieces I would guess that I have well over 100K on all the bikes combined.
  10. If I'm not mistaken it's right around 6500 rpms, might even be a little less.
  11. The 1st and pretty much only bolt on thing your going to do is install a Dyna 3000 Ignition module. You can advance the timing curve and bring the rev limiter up to 7500 rpms. The Vmax or FJR gears will help with off the line performance. They also help when fully loaded 2 up pulling a trailer. In a nut shell, buy a Dyna 3000
  12. I never claimed to be normal....look at the group I hang around with Dale, nice analogy on the Cupcake
  13. I concur professor And even though my 1st responce was an attempt at humor, all 8 of my Ventures got between 37 and 42 MPG with my riding style.
  14. All depends on your rightwristitis ....just sayin'
  15. Cool Beans! Looking forward to more pics
  16.
  17. Absolutely Not!!!
  18. Same here, I'll lube the mechanical portion of the retainer, but I have never put grease on the ball. I know some folks do, but unless your pulling a trailer on any vehicle 24/7 then I am doubting that it's an issue.
  19. No problem Ray, If you run into more problems just come back on and we'll steer you in the right direction
  20. That was interesting, ironic as yesterday I had my card holder call me and ask about charges on my debit card. Turned out there was a 99.90 charge for soemthing that I didn't transact. I think I'll be looking a bit more into this Credit Freeze thing
  21. I was starting to wonder what was going on in Oz land. Glad to hear they were only testing your sanity, no worries they can do the test later to see if you've recovered
  22. Please do and put the boots to his BIG behind
  23. Besides loosing my mind @ work, yes we are doing ok. Lonna is settling into her new job and I'm just hoping that nothing blows up here anytime soon Thanks for asking Buddy
