  1. Yea your probably right, just an idea I had.
  2. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a hand held mic that could plug into our socket base on the RSMV tank. I didn't want to go to the helmet sets yet but was wanting to be able to talk on the CB while riding. We can hear the external speakers just fine. Any ideas???? Moakster
  3. I have a question about the height of the Clearview. Right now on my 05 Midnight I look through he factory stock shield. This causes problems when it rains or fogs up (can't see). The old question still remains of do you look over or through the bike windshield. On my previous cruiser that I had I could look over the shield for a clear view of the road ahead. The only drawback was that when it rained the rain would bead at the top of the shield and blow back straight into my face. I was wondering if the 21 inch (Large) which would put the top of the shield just below my eye level, would it shed the rain over my head or right into my face? Moakster
  4. Thanks, I will get some time off in a week or two and get with you. Moakster
  5. Thanks Goose. The carbs were sync. before our South Dakota trip per the instructions from this site. I have not noticed any discoloration at the Y joint of either side exhaust, so i guess I will be getting new caps and see how that does. if that does not work then the AIS plug is next. 6. My 05 Midnight has started a weird habit of having an exhaust pop on each up shift through the gears. Just a single pop on each shift. It it also has started to pop a little on decel but nothing real dramatic. Nothing loud. Any ideas. I do have the HD Road King pipes with the drilled out rear baffle plate and 4 drilled out holes in the inlet cone. Moakster
  7. A bike run a SUV of the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK
  8. OK, has anyone else paid $335 to remove old MC tires, balance and install new Vernon's for the RSV??? Just a question. No high jack just curious. Moakster
  9. I guess you will be DRIFT, DRIFT, DRIFTING AWAY now. Nice bike ....good motor...sorry, hate the fenders... But love is blind and gas is $4.00 a gallon so ride on. Moakster PS: Had a 98 Vulcan Classic and loved it.:cool10:

  11. Here we go again, the great pressure debate.
  12. Finished a Memorial Weekend ride and can say that the Avons are keepers. I found myself almost putting my foot down several times when in a sever lean believing that it was going over but they stuck and had a solid feel to them. I will get another set when these wear out. Moakster
  13. My wife has long legs and when she put her feet up on the pegs it caused pressure on her tail bone. Just uncomfortable after a few miles. Moakster
  14. I'm selling my Diamond R passenger pegs. Wife does not like them. Used them twice. They are listed in the classified section wirth pictures. Moakster
  15. Goose, I'm sorry that i missed your previous threads about the tire change. Just got my Avon's installed they cost 100 dollars labor to install. I guess bad timing on my part. Anyway I will keep you in mind on the other offers. Just back from our memorial day rides and the Avon's handled great. after they were scuffed up they stuck like glue. No howl in the corners and smooth on all road surfaces. Moakster
  16. I will take it careful. My speed and cornering governor sits behind me and is quite touchy to speed and leans. She lets me know when she has had enough and I take it easy from there so there should not be any problems, ( I Hope) I'll let everyone know how they pan out for me when we get back. Moakster:cool10:
  17. Well we will see how the Avon's perform this weekend at these pressures. We have a ride on Saturday that should cover a couple hundred miles through the twisties and long highway sweeps. They are replacing the Dunlop 404 that I had no issues with and handled great. I'm looking for some marked improvement over the Dunlop. If not I guess I will go back to Dunlop's. Moakster
  18. Hey Don i just got my installed Avons today also. They are sure slick coming out of the gate. Road fine and am running for 2 up light with 41lb in the front and 46 lb in the back. That sound about right? Moakster

  23. I see pictures and socks............
  24. I was cleaning out my motorcycle cabinet in the garage when I found a Reserve Lighting Unit from my old First Gen (83). I no longer have her. I now have a 05 Midnight. I won the unit on E-Bay when I was chasing the dim light problem with first gens. Turned out to be the solder on the computer board and not the reserve lighting unit. So I have this one that works and no bike to put it on. If anyone is interested in it shoot me an e-mail or PM. I'll give it away,(free) if you will cover the shipping. Moakster:mo money:
