  1. Jeff---Just sent you a PM about the hitch ( friend was going to call Venturedad tommorrow) Told him about yours and he is interested if it will fit his bike. PM me back. Gil
  2. I'm sure Don wishes he could have seen some of your faces. To bad it wasn't on April 1 thou....:rotfl:
  3. Sounds like you have some experiance with bikes and trailers---Tire pressure --load should have been good with your experiance-- I would check all nuts and bolts on springs-frame-tounge,etc. --Also hitch and ball--other than that my guess would have been load shifting. One other thought, how long have you pulled it behind the RSTD? Would the trailer behind a different bike make any difference-Tounge not level or long enough.
  4. Worded it just perfect. Everyone here should know you should not judge a book by its cover. Just good natured ribbing--Don,Good for you, you probably got a few back with this one.:rotf:
  5. I was having alittle probem last night. Thought it was on my end, guess not, someone must have went to bed before the sun went down. At least he got up early and fixed the problem--Good job:thumbsup:
  6. Tried to make it but the battery was dead in the Malibu Ski Boat. All this snow and cold in Ohio.
  7. Ken, Everyone here has summed it up pretty good. They do have a classified section here on this site and members do post when they see a good deal in their local area. Freebird is having a maintaince day June 6 (I beleive) that a friend and I are thinking of going to. Keep in touch, I live over by Liberty Center, Ohio. FYI McCarthy's in Defiance has always treated me well and Tim is always helpful.
  8. Studies show that people with bumper stickers on their vehicles tend to be more aggressive.
  9. Nice trailer Jay--We will need to see alot of pics when you get it. Sounds like we are all blessed with great wive's, Mine doesn't buy me bikes or trailers---Just more guns.
  10. Never wore it much when I was younger, then with marriage and the kids, started wearing it more. Figured it might help someday, and with all the crazy drivers nowdays I guess its probably a good idea. Once in a while I will go for a ride in the evening and not wear it. I still prefer not to wear one, but the wife complains to much.
  11. Friend from the old VTS told me about the other Venture site. I did a search and found this one and the other one. After looking and reading on both for a few days, I decided that I liked this one. Everyone seemed so much nicer and all the friendly kidding around just said this was one big happy family. Post once in awhile, but can't seem to not a least look around every day or so. This site is addicting just like MM w/peanuts. Like so many have already said, Thank's Don and to all who first started this site. To any new members--Just jump right in, everyone makes you feel welcome and treats you like an old friend.
  12. Awesome trike. Gets me thinking, but my legs are still holding me up.
  13. couldn't have said it any better myself. Even though its been along time sence I reloaded 9mm. The head spacing seemed to be very critical for my Smith. Everyone I talked with said the same, check every 3-5 rounds.
  14. Motorcycle's-Gun's-bowhunting-Camo Got married in 84,Took honeymoon on bike. Then everything else started coming up,she has to make an appointment to see me in the fall. Good thing bow season goes to the end of Jan. in Ohio. Hard to yell at me if she can't find me. Oh well, I quess she gave up, started talking to me again last year.:rotfl:Ain't gonna change a redneck.
  15. Hammers aren't as fun as guns...
  16. Don't forget to hire a translatter. Its probably is Jap. if its that heavy.
  17. country boy-redneck- guns, bow, knives, camouflage--can't be seen or found. 1st gen. to fast to be seen on the road. Ask the wife- she says he's somewhere. Don't matter what collar I wear, I'm always in the doghouse.:rotfl:
  18. 1960 something Honda 125CL. 14 yrs old and all the girls just loved to go for rides, and spend my harded earned lawnmowing money on icecream. Seems like they still like going for rides and spending my money. Saved along time for that bike and when I turned 16 got a Honda 550 CB. Gave the 125 to my younger brother and he trashed it. Just sold that old first bike 5 yrs ago to a guy that collects, said he was going to restore it.
  19. Sorry to say thats the mentality (not much of one) of some of the riders today. Sure am glad my son knows better. Talking to them or yelling at them if you could catch them would probably do no good, sorry to say, they think they are right and that they own the road. To bad it gives normal riders a bad name.
  20. Haven't been on in a month because of a 10 day bowhunting trip and a computer meltdown, and after several months you say I have to buy the icecream. Guess I had better start saving now for the meet and eat I was thinking of having in the spring. You people need to warn us newer members :rotf:Who care's, I've laughed, worried and cryed reading on this site. CAN'T WAIT TO MEET EVERYONE SOMETIME.
  21. Keep your thoughts possitive Allan. Hope everything goes well. Prayers and best wishes sent. If you need a laugh, just look around this site, your sure to find something funny. Gil

Glad to hear your home and doing better. Your family was great keeping us posted on your recovery. If you have to stay at the Rehab center, better see if they have internet access. My friend ( who is a rehab tech.) says NO PAIN-NO GAIN . The older they are the harder it is to get them to work hard though the pain. Gil
  23. I have watched pinstrippers use easy off to take old pinstrips and murals off of bikes and not hurt the paint. The bike owners were nervous though.
  24. I've been told that southern Indiana has some places like Hocking Hills. Been wanting to check it out. Never seems like enough time or money to ride where you want. Maybe next summer..:mo money:Oh well, its only money. Heard you can't take it with you.
  25. Know right where Shawnee Inn is at. Was looking at it on the net, told the wife it looks better on the net than when you pull up to it. Kind of place you want to check out before you take the wife. Mine doesn;t care what it looks like, as long as its clean. The kids on sportsters is better than on crotch rockets.
