    I have some friends with V maxs and they tell me that some of the guys with them buy venture motors and put the Vmax stuff on them so they have new motors for there 1st gen Vmaxs. so if you have a hard time finding them this might be why.

    Thanks for the info! I woulda swore they told me wetter than wet but I havent seen a can of it so I dont know for sure and since you guys have you must be rite. Now does it do anything when it gets colder out to ride? I do try to ride alot when its cold out and as long as there is not ice on the road or snow I will ride or try to anyway. Thanks

    I have some friends that race cars both circle and drag race and some of them use something called wetter than wet in the radiator to make the cars run cooler and I didnt know if anyone has used it in there bikes? Might make them run cooler in the summer and not be some hot all the time in town.

    I used to buy some reloads at the gun shows til I had one fire just enough to get the bullet in the barrel and before I could stop the person shooting because it sounded funny they fired another round and lodged two in the barrel. Luckly it was my dan wesson 357 and I could take the barrel apart and just order a new inner barrel. if it wasnt for the fact that I was shooting target loads and that the dan wesson is a well built gun someone could have gotten hurt! I reloaded for a while but havent messed with it in some years as I dont seem to have the time.

    Not sure about the Kaws but when i had a house boat on cumberland there was a couple of guys with the seadoo's that were supercharged and the honda that is turbo charged and the seadoo would throw you off and boil the water in take off and the honda would catch it when the turbo would kick in. Never rode them myself but wanted too!! They will fly but are not cheap!!

    There is a product out there alot of guys I know who race use called wetter than wet and you add it to your radiator. I havent done it yet but thinking about it. Its suppossed to cool the motor down alot.

    Take it to a bodyshop you know and trust!! I do body and paint for a living and spray dupont and we do stand behind it for as long as you own it! hat being said i have seen color rite stuff and yes it might match but unless you use a catolized product it will have issues down the road. Yes the camera we use to take a pic of the part to a match will pick up the pearl I have painted one of the black met parts before. Alot of shops dont have one because they cost around 10K.     I have the 660 and it came with all the attachments for bike and car. I have used it in both and also have a older nuvo and so far I have had to get the older one out to finally find were I am looking for 3 out of 5 times for some reason the zumo wont let me put the whole address in or it goes to the other side of were I need to be. If I want 1oo w 200e it will take me 100w 200w or not let me put it in all the way. I love the bigger screen and how you can see it in the sun but I dont know how to fix this and for some reason I cant down load a route on it. The site like mapquest will show its down loaded but I cant find it on the gps. Maybe need to have someone show me the ins and outs on this thing I guess.

    I have some friends going and both have Vmaxs I guess they are having a Vmax get together there also. I would love to go tothis at some point but maybe next year!!

    Ok stupid question but other than the oil leak what gives it away that the shock is out? Does it ride really bad or something and if so how? I guess I need to start to watch mine since I have almost 13K on it. Yes I know I need to ride more just havent had the chance with kid and ex stuff/

    I have a ghost here and the dam thing knocked over my bike just after I painted and got it all back together and whats bad was I was on the other side of a car when it went over and couldnt get to it fast enough!! Any way I was so mad I grabbed the handle bar and passanger handle and threw it up on its tires and I think with the adrinalin rush I had I felt like I could throw it across the yard I was so mad. I think its all how you pivot yourself with the bike and it is a heavy sucker!!

    I dont wear a helmet because of a neck injury I got in a car wreck and after a little while I start to get a nasty head ache plus they are just to hot and I am usually roasting any way. Everyone has there opionon on them and to each there own. Its not the law here and hopefully it will stay that way. Thanks for the info on the blue tooth but what I am afraid of is it falling off while I am riding. I do have a set of ear and mike for the cb that I can use with out a helmit or a half helmet.

    I want to find a blue tooth head set that I can use and not wear a helmet does anyone know of any? Sometimes I wear a half helmet so I would need something that might be able to be used for both? thanks!!

    I was looking on line and see that costco has a bike jack that is alum and rated at 1500 lbs. for 185.00 has anyone seen these or have one?

    If you would have gone Jerry you could feen the diffrence sat and then all the way back home with it!! Oh well I cant believe bob tied to a wagon that hopefully will be able to keep up with him I sure hope the kid next door doesnt need his little red wagon for a while!!

    I had the 404 on mine and still do on the front, my dealer told me to make sure I kept 40 lbs in both. I didnt on the back for a while and it cupped on me. I have the E3 on the back now and its a totally diffrent bike with the way it rides now. I did notice that the 404s ride funny when I got around 9K on them so it might be you need to switch. I am going to put radials on it next change and see how the E3s are with that.

    There are a few other cleaner out there. I just got one at my Yamaha dealer and it was 6.50 a can but I will have to check and see what the name is for you. Honda also has one that is the same as plexi and its cheaper.

    Just a thought but it might have cracked if the bolts were to tight from the factory or it could be in just a slight bind that it cracked there. Yes it can be repaired its plastic they can be welded or glued back together as I have done both. You might see if you can keep the old lid as it might come in handy later. I used to work ofr diffrent car dealers and once the factory (GM,Honda,Ford,Chrysler) paid them for the part and labor they were thrown away or if it was fixable some one who worked there would take them. You might have to wait for Yamaha to pay the dealer but if they are going to pitch it you might see if they will let you have it.

    The victory vision just wish they would make a quick disconect trunck for it because they look cool with out it but want it when I need it.

    I just got a new ipod for my Bday and want to mount it to the bike and keep it in a case that can easily be taken off who has what and what works best out there? Thanks guys and ride safe out there please.
