Glad to hear he didnt get hurt!! Thats a shame they had to ruin that road by doing that!! Nothing like trying to ride on ball bearings on a 900lb two wheel skate board!! -
I have the 08 S model and it has more chrome like front forks instead of the brushed look and the switch covers and stuff. The chrome is easier to clean that the other with the bugs and stuff. But its what ever you like the best.

I am thinikng about making a speaker set up in the lids of the saddle bags so I am looking for some broken lids that anyone has and wants to get ride of. I dont want to cut up a good set since I am not sure how I am going to do this just yet. Trial and error I guess.

How bad is it? I cant tell from the picture so it might be able to be repaired. My bike got knocked over by our ghost and broke the left side in a few places but i two parted it back together.If you cant do it look up a bodyshop in your area that you trust odds are it can be fixed and painted. Not sure if you have tried this but I took the lower deflectors off of mine that are on the fairing and it opens alot of air for me!! I can put them back on when it get cooler out and I need them. You just have to take the face off of your fairing and you have a couple of screw there.

I did my trunk with diffrent stripes but Idont have a clue how to down size pics to put any on here and ever time I try nothing happens. I am going to do something with the tank this winter just cant make up my mind what. Do yourself a favor and take alot of close up pictures of the bike as you take it apart so you know were and how things go back. It comes apart easier than it goes back together. I tore her down in a day but took me a few to put back because I would get it part way then remember a part and have to take it back apart to put something on. Just a little tip. Oh go to your HD store and start looking around and look at them on line they do have some great pain jobs that you can get ideas from or copy.

Nice looking bike there! They had a great looking ultra eagle at the indy store over the winter that I really like it was pearl white over the gray. I really like the looks of the HDs but cant get past the price of them thats why I bought the 08 new I couldnt find anything better for the money. I do think when I do change it will be a vision for me but I have to have something diffrent and that is one sweet machine. Good luck with the new bike!! Ride safe and keep us up on how its doing.

Thanks for the info rumboogie, now do I need to get with garmin and let them know so I get the updates or what do you suggest? Sorry I dont always have time to get on here alot. Thanks Bob for letting him know what I have and I just got the unit for christmas and down loaded the stuff around april I think. That takes a little while even with cable! They get the stuff fixed it would be great!

So what are you doing about the bike now? Does it have a leak on the rear and if so you better take some fluid with you on your trip to be safe and keep a eye on it. You are fighting a losing battle it sounds like. Hate you tell you this but your dealer for anything is only as good as the person that wroks on it that time you take it in. Everyone screw up from time to time but the better person and place will step up and take care of it.

All the time I had a house boat on cumberland at Lees ford and I never did make over to see the falls! Always wanted to too but just never did. It is a great place down there always wanted to move and have a place over looking the water and stuff just couldnt find a good job.

Bob it only lasted a day? Mine doesnt forget anything so it would last forever!! I forget my name but luckly its on this plastic card in my wallet with a picture that looks like me!

I hope it came out ok. Just a thought if the kids are climbing on the bike and climbing and stepping on the bag lids that could be were your crack started. I can see mine at that age trying it and jumping off or on them not good for the bags. Just be careful I would hate to see that bike fall on one of them and them get hurt. If I dont talk to you have a goodtime at star and be safe!

Hey Jerry I just seen this, I havent been on here much lately sorry and i didnt get a message you sent. Just a thought take the lid off to relieve preasure and take some paint sticks or somthing and cut them to fit inside the top of the bag and tape them in to hold the side were you want them so they dont flex in or out. I dont know on the abs stuff i have never used it on repairing plastices but that doesnt mean it wont work if others have tried it and say it works great then go for it. I use a two part epoxy at work with a high strenght. I would recomend after you do this to use maybe a black eposy of somekind with a fiberglass tape or something just for extra support for the future. I have worked with alot of abs and the way it cracked unless it was cold or hit real hard I dont think that did it. If it is a stress crack from the way it was put on I would say it would be around the mounts. It looks like someone opend it up and pulled on the side or over stuffed it to me from the pic. could have had a sress crack that you didnt see and something happend and opened her up. It only happens when you dont want it to. Good luck

I dont know if you are a member of costco or not but they have a alumn bike jack on line you can get and the price is just under 200. I think when I get some extra cash Im gona get me one.

I hope everyones zumo works better than mine because its sucks! I have carried my zumo and my other garmin in the car at the same time and my old garmin will give me better routes and get me there were the zumo have put me on the other side of town putting in the same address. Dont have a clue why but so far its doesnt impress much and my 150 dollar one works great.

Wish we could go but have way to many other things going on to even think about it! Cant wait for all the legal crap to be over and finally have the kids away from the mess they are in with the ex. Have a great time those who are going and have fun for me to please!

The blue ridge parkway is great!! Ive done some if it by car and cant wait til I can do it by bike!! Hopefully in a year or two!!

Wow if that guy has 378,000 miles on his 2000 he must ride coast to coast and chase the sun! Thats alot of riding wish i could do that!
