    I had a tinker with a 454 and she would do that and it was the main wiring harness would get warm and vibrate lose enough to cause elec fits! Clean the plug good and put some elec grease in it then use wire ties and tie it together. If not that look at the vent tubes in the fuel system

    They have bike nite on meridian fir night and sat nite. Not sure if we will make fir nite since we r going to buffet Thursday nite. I plan on going to the track sat and maybe Sunday to see the vendors. The pipes sound like a small block chevy with dials. Text me Dan and I'm sure we can hook up

    Hey no problem Bob! Yes we are planning on doing some of that stuff! I think the kids are going to stay at moms sat n sun they get bored with it anyway. I want to make at least one event this year! Going to try to go down town sat night also. I wouldn't think the pipes and coolant are connected but with my luck I thought I would ask. She does seem a little hot lately for some reason but it's been hot too.

    I just put some nasty boys on the venture Sunday. I rode it to work and back home, about 27 miles each way. When I got home I let it idol in the drive while I waited on my daughter. Well I noticed the coolant on the ground maybe about a couple of ounces not much but like she was running a little hot any ideas? The pipes had the baffles taken out when I bought them used. They. Sound great and she seems to run better just need the carbs synched. Thanks for any ideas

    I can't wait to ride a vision but I'm afraid once I do the bug will hit hard to have one. I did get the queen to sit on one with me at a bike show but there wasn't any rides. I do like how lite it feels with both of us on it sitting with the stand up! I have found a few forums that I ask questions on and found a few sites with some cool stuff you won't find for the RSV but each has it's pros and cons I'm sure. Keep us up on that new vision!

    I have a friend I try to ride with when I can and he has a great looking ultra and he rides every were on it. He is one of the few HD guys I will say puts the miles on it! I like my venture but she is top heavy with 2 up and I know my next bike will be the vision I love that bike and so does the queen! I have a lot of friends with HDs and we razz each other in fun but I don't care what anyone rides as long as they are enjoying it. What ever you get get it for you not what others think. I got a great deal on my Venture new in 08 but was looking at HDs and BMWs at the time. Good luck

    I have the 660 and love it other than I did a update last year and it's off now! I need to get another update at some point when I get time. How do you do the route? I need to have someone show I guess. I like the 660 because it's a bigger screen and in the fall and winter wearing gloves it makes it nice.

    I met the ex to get my son friday and I am glad it all went well! He had his first football practice here sat and is pumped to start a new life and school! I hope it stays that way!! thanks everyone

    What kind of push pin did you have break? Is it one of the plastic type rivets? Alot of auto part stores carries them and even lows has some in the clip sections. Never heard of the super glue and baking soda might have to try that to see what it does

    One hurdle done now! Just got from KY my lawyer was exposing all her lies in the affidavit so it worked for me. The judge said at the start she had a hour blocked off as she looked at my ex. Last nov in court she rambled for 3 hrs in front of this judge. Now have to get the kids ready for school and stuff and my son going to football practice. Thanks again everyone!

    Well I'm off to KY today for court the ex has talked her grandmother into paying for a lawyer and got a emergency hearing today to reverse my custody. The affidavit she has is full of lies that I can prove again. She even called me and left a message that I won't allow her to talk to my daughter and put that in put she has to try to call her. I had my daughter call her and all she could ask was who she wanted to be with and when she told her mom she wants to be with and hates it with her the ex told her she will straighten her out when she gets her down there. My ex likes to smack her around and yell at her but can't do it anymore to my son since he is alot bigger than her now. My daughter is getting close to her size and I have a feeling when she is big enough she going to beat the crap out of her. She already told me if she has to go back she's going to run away so I'm sure I will get a phone call from her to pick her up. Wish us luck with the screwed up courts I need it!

    Found out today she has managed to get money from her grandmother for a lawyer and she told me she is having my custody removed. I hope she can't for my daughters sake as she is already threatening her for wanting to be with me. I guess I find out this week if the courts are for the kids of just for the moms no matter what they do! I tried to get custody last November because the kids asked me to get them away from her. Even after my lawyer showed police reports of stuff and me having wrote everything down with dates and times on she would beat the crap out of my daughter the judge let her keep them. She didn't even have a lawyer so the judge felt sorry for her. Everyone around me is about at the end of their rope over my ex and the stuff she can get away with. I should find out this week what is going to happen I guess till our October trial date! Wish me luck! And thanks everyone!

    Thanks everyone! I'm just getting tired! It wasn't 6 months ago I tried to get custody of them because of her abuse and losing jobs and doing the HD party life style! Now another dam good job gone and the guy she was living with took her to court to get her out of his house! The judge felt sorry for her and bought her lies the last time I would hope this close after the last time the judge will see the truth! Jerry rite now I'm not worried about getting child support if she can't keep a job and that's hard to do in the medical field with her experience then I don't see her paying me. She is supposed to have INS on the kids and it's figured in my support but I have had it on them for almost 2 years and she owes me over $4500. Ordered by the judge and I haven't seen a dime but until now she always got her money! She owes me 250 that had to be paid by dec 27 th of last year that I haven't got also ordered by the judge. It would be nice just to get what she owes me to help pay some stuff off! Nothing I can do about it rite now. Just wanted to vent a little I guess! It would be nice to have a few boring years!!

    The ex has managed to lose another great paying job again and her boyfriend had to take her to court to get her out! So she told me and the kids she was renting a house just down from their school. I meet to get my daughter and my son stays with her for his football practice. The next day she loads up and moves to TN and I don't know till last Sunday! She told me I can't do a thing about it she's the mom and the court told her she can do what ever she want and I have to deal with it! Wrong! My lawyer got me full custody till Oct, now I just have to get her to bring my son up by Friday if not then the courts and police will take care of it. She has to be the most educated person with no common sence out there!

    Wow man that really sucks! It depends on how bad the plastic is on how or if you can fix it. You might have to cut all the contaminated plastic out and rebuild it from there. There are products out there to repair most plastics and I think those are ABS plastic if I remember rite. Main thing make sure bad parts are gone and you hand sand the areas to be fixed as this plastic melts easy and hand sanding will make better adhesion then clean it very good with denatured alcohol or amonia and water mix. Go to a auto paint and body supply store they will have the proper glues to fix this and go from there. Good luck and don't let it get you down my bike went down my drive way by itself after I painted it and put it all back together, had to redo it all again because of our ghost! Life goes on!

    I do bodywork for a living and was a manager at a few shops. From what I see of the pictures and I know you cant tell much from a picture you are far from a total and the damage may look bad to you but I see cars bad enough they should be totaled but wont be due to value. I see alot more of new cars getting hit than you think and even get some cars back the same day we fix because they never made it home before getting hit again. Just remember its a car and they all can be replaced and fixed. Find a shop you trust or his highly recomended and your agent can help with that. i agree let your insurance guide you if you dont know what to do. I get a lot of high end cars were I work and most of the people are a pain in the butt because thier car means more than their kids or anything else. Get it fixed how you want but make sure the est you get is fixing what you want. The guys that work on it only get paid for what they do so if they dont get paid to fix it odds are its not going to get done for free. Good luck

    Well I drilled out the ones the bolts only went half way. It's like they jumped a thread. I ran a tap down them and cleaned them up now I need to make me some support brackets. I can't believe how easily the plastic on these break! Fiberglass and metal would make a much stronger unit! The more I take it apart the more I see how flimsy it is.

    I have the clear view XXl with the vent and I am 6'2 and she is 5'8 and even with it she gets alot more wind than I do and if she wears a helmet it bounces her head around she said. I have my stock one that I cut way down to get me more air and she doesnt like it at all says it to noisey.I cant hear worth a crap anymore anyway so it doesnt bother me.

    When I cut mine downi sanded the edge and steped it down till I got to 1000 grit then put a little baby oil on the edge to shine it up.

    Yes they are metric I know that . I can't find the size on any chart any were and they might be off .2 of a mil as I think they were 8.8 mil bolts if I remember rite.

    No they aren't cross threading because I'm them in halfway by hand. They get so far in and then go so far in and stop and the threads are gone just in the middle of the bolt.

    I have a 08 Venture and for some reason the metal bar that they call a stay keeps tearing the threads off my bolts and its a real pain to get them off and you cant tighten them down. I switch from the clear view to a factory one I cut way down. I went to the hardware store and matched them up in stainless but they seem week and the threads just tear off. The factory bolts have soft heads and round out way to easy so I wanted hex head. Anyone else have this issue? And if so what did you do to fix it. Thanks for any help:fingers-crossed-emo
