I had a stuck needle a couple of years ago, the fuel flowed out the breather area to the left front of the engine. It wasn't a drip so much as kinda like a spreading puddle. I think the front carb. overflows are up in that area.

Hopefully Metzler gets the problem fixed. I had a set a couple years ago and was very pleased with them. I got around 12000 KM's on them before they (primarily the rear)required changing. I replaced them with Avons, but only to try something different. I actually preferred the ride and handling a little more with the Metzlers, but the Avons last longer and can carry more weight safely, so their a bit better suited to my riding requirements.

Used correctly and providing the carbtune is clean you will get excellent results using the CarbTune. I suspect you did not meet at least one of those conditions judging by your results.

I used a relay to my led signals. I connected from my signal relay switch (inside the front faring)to the relay trigger then to the led signals from that using a separate pos. and then leds to ground. You need 1 relay for left turn and one for right turn. My self cancell works correctly and the leds reach max. brightness as they are not sharing voltage with the standard signal bulbs. Works great for me!

I did option 3, looks great see the pics in my photogallery if you like. -
Each to his own, but if mine were stolen I'd lay the coin down for another set without hesitation. I've traveled many miles without them and I've traveled many miles with them, they've make many a rough weather day a whole lot more enjoyable, weather it was a little to hot or to wet.

I have AirWings, not Bakers though. I love them and wouldn't travel without them.

Make sure that the passenger volume is turned all the way up. I installed a Mic Mute a year ago and my wife and I are very happy with the results. If you do a search you'll find a fair bit of info on them.

As long as you keep your windsheild clean and polished with a product such as Plexus, you will have no problem seeing through your tall windsheild on a rainy day. When it's raining I make sure to wash my windsheild at each gas stop, it takes a minute but makes a world of difference in how well the water beads and blows off the sheild. The tall windsheild also eliminates helmet buffeting which can be very annoying during long days in the saddle. My wife also appreciates the added protection. You'll be very happy with the Clearview.

Amazing! Talented people for sure.

Warranty is supplied from the factory not the dealer. I can't understand how any Yamaha dealer could refuse to do warranty work on a Yamaha product that was still under warranty. I had warranty work done twice on my "Canadian" Venture by a dealer in Rapid City SD. with no problems what so ever. Stuck needle valve in 03' and a leaking rear shock in 04' I can't imagine a dealer refusing to do the work. I would report the dealer to the factory rep. to let Yamaha USA know what the dealer was doing.

Sounds like a poor ground connection. Try cleaning and tightening your battery terminals first. If that doesn't fix it, find your radio ground and remove and clean it.

My SkiDoo Modular 2 is very similar to that including flip down sun visor. The Modular 2 is a great helmet, the flip down visor is a wonderful addition to any helmet, very convienent.

In my opinion mic-mute is a great invention and well worth the time and expense to install. I've travelled many enjoyable miles using ours and would replace it quickly if it ever failed. Should be standard equipment on the Venture.

Nice looking unit. I see the wires are held in place with screws, I wonder if the screws will stay tight and hold the wires securily on a machine that vibrates as much as a motorcycle? I guess you could use a little blue loctite just in case.

In all the time and miles I've spent travelling on a motorcycle I can't remember one time that I thought "Gee I wish I had a gun right now" maybe I've just been lucky. The day I do feel I need a gun to be safe while travelling on my motocycle either in Canada or the U.S. is the day I find a new sport. Maybe I just travel different roads than others do?

In the US you have the right to bear arms, in Ontario you have the right to bare breasts. I think we got the better deal of the two.

Thanks, thats great information! I've been considering upgrading from my StreetPilot 3 to the Zumo 550 and was curious if the unit would auto mute the music while giving turn info. I missed a turn last fall because I was listening to my XM radio, not paying attention to my Garma and couldn't hear the turn warning prompt of my SP3. A little later I noticed it recalculating my route and realized what had happened.
