I didn't get the really fancy one like that but it's pretty nice. It's a dimplex most of the research I did said they were the best heat source for the money and are good on the electric bill. They have a bunch that are really fancy. Plus the flame is supposed to be the most realistic. Seems to be working pretty good. I'll check the cord and the breakers too Dan. I understand I'm very entertaining so I guess I need to stick around. Margaret

I don't have it on an extension cord and it's plugged into an outlet with nothing else plugged in. David will be very proud of me I'm not doing nothing to hurt the electric. Margaret

I tried using the dolly we have but it was laying flat so it was bigger then the dolly. I can be a bit stubborn too. I'll figure out a way to do what I have to, if not then I'll ask. I hope not to be buying anything else big till the muffinman gets home. Then he can do it. Margaret

It's 110. I plugged in the firebox to make sure it's ok. Seems to be working ok. The rest of it is for show. Pretty nice wood though and heavy. I still can't find the wing bolts so I guess I'll call the company and let them no I didn't get them. Maybe they'll be nice and let me pick some up at the local Lowes and not go back to Suffolk for some. Margaret

Not sure what's wrong with the old heater it hasn't worked since last year. Jeff worked on it, but couldn't replace anymore parts so I said to heck with it. We never get cold weather for too long around here. Ha ha. I'm fine I now have to find the stupid wing bolts it's suppose to have to put it together. I think I'll take 5 and get a hot something to drink. This might take longer then I thought. I guess I'll have to climb in the back of the truck to see if they were stuck in any of the styrofoam that was in all of it. I got little pieces of styrofoam all over the house the yard and me. Well last night I decided I wanted an electric fireplace. I don't have a heating system anymore here and it's been getting rough with the little electric ones I have at night. So I bought it and I'd have to pick it up in Suffolk at the Lowes. That was the closest one that still had any. So I leave after chatting with the muffinman and head up. Get the thing in the truck (took 3 guys to pick it up and put it in). Now I'm thinking wow I'm alone how am I gonna get this thing out of the truck. Being constructive I figured I get to that when I got home. So I get home pull the truck up to the porch and shove the box out of the bed onto the porch. So far so good. Now how do I get it in the house? Well I tried a few things and realized I wasn't getting the box in the house. I had even thought of hooking the dog up to it. Only problem would be getting it up off the porch into the door. Also the box was looking a bit wide to go through the door. So I decided go ahead and open the thing outside and get the parts in. Have you ever seen those industrial staples they use on these boxes. There's a line two each all the way across. Finally I get it open sort of then I got all this tape to get through. Once it's open it's way easier to get the parts out. There a bit heavy but way lighter then together in that box. Oh yeah the weight was about 104 I weigh just a little more then that. So now I got all these parts in the house to put together. I'll let you know how that goes. I'm thinking it's gotta be easier then getting it in the house was. Oh the fireplace is pretty big too. It's 42" high, 48.3" wide, and 14.5" deep. Now I gotta figure out where to put this thing. Guess I'll worry about that after I get it together. Margaret

That's great looking forward to him coming back again. Wonder if he'll bring anything else to drink with him? Margaret

Very cool story. My sister in law had taken her boys to D.C to see the memorials. She got so pissed at the way the kids were treating some of the statues and other monuments by climbing all over them. She wasn't as mad at the kids it was the adults they were with. Kids only learn respect from the adults in their lives. That young girl in your story must have made her folks very proud. Margaret

Glad you and the passenger are ok. That doesn't look like a fun ride for sure. Hope all turns out ok even with the insurance. Margaret -
Glad to hear he's home now. Much easier to recoup when you're in your own bed. Nice to hear he has a great goal too. I'm sure he'll be on that bike before long. Margaret

I agree very well done. I hate to admit it but sometimes I just have to mute them singing before some sporting events. I can't listen to them slaughter the anthem. That was exceptionally well done, maybe they should do it for all events. Margaret

Sorry to hear that Randy. Glad it wasn't any worse then that. Margaret

Well this sounds like it could be an interesting story. Can't wait to hear this. Margaret

Quick Taters get outside with a camera.:crackup: Margaret

Well like everyone else said glad she's ok. Car can be replaced she can't. Unfortunately there are way more idiots out on the road who don't care about anyone. Same folks that will hit a biker and say they didn't see them. I believe what goes around comes around. Eventually that idiot will get what's coming to them. Enjoy the rest of your year and hopefully like Renne said this will be the worst that happens all year.

Gee not sure why they got so upset, the bikers were just being friendly. I love that story. Serves those idiots right. Margaret -
Glad all went well with the surgery. Now as for what them docs say about no riding. I wouldn't listen too hard to that. I'm sure once you're up and going on your own you'll be able to tell what you can handle and what you can't. Just don't over do it. We love ya Annie. Margaret

Does 25 inches of snow and -40 windchill sound fun to you?!?!?!
mini-muffin replied to Chaharly's topic in Watering Hole
How much more time till you graduate? Weren't you looking to get out of the cold after that? I remember someone telling us he wanted to become a cop in like Arizona. You just hang in there. These are the stories you get to tell your kids to make them realize how easy they really have it. Ya know like that line of walking to school uphill both ways in blizzard conditions. Can't help with the pipes, good luck. Margaret -
Love the pics. Hope Bobbie feels better soon. Margaret

Wow Bob you really had it rough. :rotf::rotf: Margaret

Good luck with that Gerald. Not sure reverse psychology works with deer though. But if it does we all got a new way to avoid them by aiming at them. Be safe tonight. Margaret

Don sweetie I would never pick on you or dump water on ya. I'm impressed with the attempt to play the guitar. I never learned to read music so the only thing I ever learned was to play stuff by ear on the piano and flute. So more power to ya. And if anyone picks on you I'll defend you. I'm sure you'd help me fill a bucket for them. Margaret
