  1. My fiance and I will be riding in from NC with 5 other bikes. Oh yea all of us riding the only trailers going with us are the ones we are towing behind us. We will be taking the northern route there to get a few more states marked off the map. Then taken a southern route home to get even more states and sites in. We are staying in Wall SD at the Sunshine Motel right down the road from Wall Drug. John the owner is a great person and takes care of us bikers while there. Will be riding every day to all the different sites and probably taking in some of the night sites as well.
  2. I have not experienced any wobble with my kuhmo. I have had it on there for about 18K and it still has much more life in it. I run it at about 37psi. I have a 130 front tire as well. I pull a trailer or camper every once in a while and still no wobble.
  3. Edited: Post got posted before i completed sorry Was wondering if anyone has the template to cute blank aluminum hinge accents. I was looking at buying the Yamaha ones but wow they are pricey. If i can find a template i might be able to find someone to cute me some blank ones so that I can get them engraved. Thanks for the help everyone
  4. Saturday only and I like fish and bbq LOL. See everyone there.
  5. I just replaced my with the hagon after 64K+. I have not done to much riding with it yet being i just moved out to nashville tn for 6 mos. I plan to do a lot on it though this summer. I am heading out to memphis this weekend for a SCRC Rally so I will have to give an update after that.
  6. Thistledown, Did you have to get longer bolts for the hagon shock? I should be receiving mine Friday evening in the ups delivery. So I want to make sure I have everything so I can do the replacement hopefully Friday night and be able to ride Saturday.
  7. JOKE? That is all true down here in Carolina. I wasn't born here and I have lived all over the world, but i did grow up here. I can say that is all true. I sure do wish I could come up with some of those analogies that Ron from Lizard Lick Towing says to sum all this south talk up.
  8. Tell him Congrats from another Eagle Scout down here in NC. I made it just 12 years ago with two palms and brotherhood "Order of the Arrow". It is something to be proud of. I wear my pin everytime i am in a suit at work. It brings up conversation and believe me it does help in may ways for things in life. I have the Eagle Scout license plate for my car and a eagle scout sticker on the bike, just to let the cops know, LMAO. Congrats again and tell him to keep up the HARD work.
  9. Yea I am trying but they are pushing back saying my warranty ran out just 5 days ago, grr.
  10. Just ordered my Hagon with heavy duty spring. It is customer order for $469 shipped. Hopefully will be shipped within 2-3wks.
  11. I have the EuroFX (EFX) low/high HID Kit. Most kits are just low beam with a reg high beam which isnt bright. Mine has a deflector for the high beam which moves and redirects the light. I went with EFX because there where at the CycleWorld Motorcycle Show and I could see them and how they were made. Also they come with Lifetime Warranty. Like I said earlier. I have had mine in for almost 3 seasons with no problems. No added switches, just plug n play. I light up the WHOLE rode at night and the reflective signs come in visual contact much further away. Maybe I am young and dumb but it has worked for me and I will lead the technology end. Everyone Ride Safe no matter what light they use. People will still say "I didn't see them" no matter what.
  12. Steve-O. If you want to do HID in the driving lights then you need to get the NON-sealed beam. HID is (high intensity discharge) it is a buld of GAS not a wire heating up omiting light. The HID upgrade is a plug and play with exsiting types of bulds with a ballast that is the ignitor and power for the bulb. For the head light it is a H4 buld replacement. As for the spots it will depend on the buld style. So it is plug and play but you have to find a place for the ballast. Since I did just my head light there is only one and it is stuck to the inside of my fairing. If you where to do all three you would then have three ballasts to place. Google search it and you will find many results. Google is your friend.
  13. First hand review for these. I run an HID headlight and these LED from northern tool. I first went with these because the OEM spots/driving lights looked yellow once i put the HID in. When I found them and saw they were A LOT cheaper than any other replacement I could find to make the driving and head light match on color spectrum, i bought. Once installed they are much brighter than OEM and have a wider pattern as well. It helps light up the entire rode. I am going into my second season with the LED and third with HID. I totally like the set up. Only thing that has to be done with the LED is remove it from the rubber housing and cut the wires. Then i put on wire connectors on the ends so that i didn't have to cut the original wiring in the housing. They fit directly in place, nothing else needed. They draw less and with the HID i have cut the draw down a lot. I have changed all my lights on the bike to LED so i def don't have problems when it comes to adding asseccories and heated gear. That is my $.02.
  14. Thanks for the post cowboy. I will be ordering mine tomorrow with the heavy duty spring as well. I called my dealership for hoping I was still under warranty but it ran out on the 23 yes just 3 days ago. So I started the research and found the three companies. I think i am going to go with Hagon over the other two because of price and they were informative and nice. Hopefully i can get mine in a few weeks as well so I can get it on before I take a trek out to TN.
  15. I have searched and searched the forums and have read a lot on the three different choices we 2nd gens have (YSS, Hagon, & Works). 1. Has anyone ordered either a Hagon or Works with the remote adjuster? If so does it mount where the oem air valve goes? 2. Has anyone wish they had got the remote adjuster that did not get it? Edited: I have called all three companies and never mind my questions. They all so that they can not put a remote adjuster because it is to small of a shock. So that everyone has updated pricing this is what I was told. YSS: $499 + shipping take about 2-3 wks Works: $799 + shipping 3-4 wks Hagon USA: $399 for standard $469 for heavy duty FREE shipping 2-4wks Dave Quinn: Hagon shock $469 heavy duty + shipping (he said he couldnt really tell how long for shipping because he feels hagon in england is backed up so he said 5-8 wks. All shocks are rebuildable according to them as well.
  16. Heads up to everyone. The Truck insurance just called and told me they are denying the claim. I had already filed a claim with my insurance to get the bike fixed. So I called my adjuster and told them that the other denied the claim and that once I get the letter I will fax it over so that they could go after. My insurance is already getting a liability adjuster involved so that they can go after the truck insurance. we will see where this goes. I guess it is a good thing I pay my insurance, LOL.
  17. Thanks for everyones help. It does look like there will have to be a lawsuit filed against this truck insurance. I am now dealing with my own insurance so that I can get the bike fixed in the mean time. If my insurance decides not to follow through with going after this company. I believe I have the right to do so. Once again I contacted the truck insurance adjuster and he was very short and rude. I asked for his super and he said she wasn't in. So I asked for her direct line and he gave it to me then hung up. I think this is going to be a lot of fun. Everyone hold on I believe this is a bumpy ride.
  18. Thanks for everyone's responses. I am thinking the same way everyone else is. The tire came of the truck so no need to trace the trailer down. The truck is not owned by driver the company (venture logistics) owns it. I have filed with my insurance company so that I can get it repaired. I am going to ask them if they are going to go after the other company if not I believe I will file a law suit against them. It is not my responsibility to research how old a tire was, miles, and if it was probably maintained. That should be up to State Auto Mutual Ins (the trucking companies insurance). Another thing that strikes me odd is that after I talked with the adjuster, I have tried to call back and move up the chain of command and I can not get them to answer the phone now. I guess I need to just lawyer up and take them to court.
  19. I know there are some truck drivers in our group and maybe some people that have been in my situation. Incident: Traveling south on I-77 in SC. Truck blow a tire on his truck not trailer. The tire was moving and I couldn't avoid from hitting it without hit other cars. Truck pulled over. SCHP showed up and did an incident report, but reported that I struck the tire in roadway so it sounds like it was just sitting there. Got back home called my insurance company they filed against the trucks insurance company. I got the adjusters contact info and contacted him. His response (truck drivers Ins Adjuster): We got the truck drivers records stating the tires was fairly new with only 2000 miles on it and his records that he checks his tires regularly. So we believe it was a faulty tire and it is not our liability. We will trace down the truck company that did the onside repair and see if they have the tire and you (me) can file a claim against Goodyear. My response: It is not my responsibility to file against goodyear that would be yours (truck ins) if you believe the tire is faulty. That they should pay for my claim and repair my motorcycle. Then they file against Goodyear to get their money back. What is everyone's thoughts and or experience with this?
  20. Two good potential renters are already available. Can you say investment income?
  21. I would also say the balast isn't good. I have an hid no prob with regular hook up. But mine is lifetime warranty they erupts.
  22. I just did some research and looked it up. It is a very old FULL size pop-up camper designed to be pulled with a car. I personally would not pull that with a motorcycle but then I have seen some big pop-ups pulled by trikes. If I were you I would try to find a used pop-up that is designed to be pulled by a motorcyle. (Time Out trailers, Aspen Trailers made by Trailmaster, Bunkhouse, Roll-a-home, Lesur Lite, LivinLite quick silver 5.0, Kwik Kamp, etc) You can find good deals online you just might have to drive a distance or find someone in the area to check it out before you make the trip. Good Luck on your camper searching and purchasing.
  23. Depending on the date I am up for a maintenance day. I know i probably need to get my valves checked but my understanding is that would take all day. I have slight basic knowledge but always up for meeting up.
  24. Thanks buddy I got them today and They fit fantastic.

Agree "The Judge" It fires either 410 shot gun shell or a .45. They also now make a judge rifle as well with the revolver and all.
