  1. That is the one made for the Honda. You have to run a white and add a 7 pin i believe. because the mic has to be powered. Right now yamaha and goldwing mic are not powered. The HD are powered with the 7 pin set up.
  2. To be honest I don't know. I can not turn off my head light while driving and I have not compared the length when sitting still with key in Aux position. I know while driving with the HID head light and the LED spots that I light up both lanes of a two lane road and can light up road signs FAR down the road. I am very pleased with the set up.
  3. I just went with the LED Replacements from Northern Tools (http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200407598_200407598) so that my spots now match my HID and have a wider pattern than the halogen. I had the OEM Sealed beam that yamaha had first. I could have gotten sealed HID but they were out of my budget.
  4. I have the original LED tail light and I have the run/turn/brake in the turn signals. I ran the wire to the brake light yes. I also have the front turns as well.
  5. it has not hurt anything on my bike. I have had it that way since 2007.
  6. I also use Custom Dynamics. I have known Dave the owner ever since he started the business. All his products are great and he stands behind them. I don't have load equalizers on my flashers. They do flash fast and the four ways still work also. All the lighting on my bike came from him except the head light and spots. Annie ~ they have A LOT of light upgrades for HD. You could change all the lighting to LED.
  7. is anyone going to customize the front end and put one of the 21" roadliner wheels on the front. Then we can start looking like the custom harleys out there.
  8. I have been to an adult only rally. They get CRAZY WILD. When it is 21 & Up there is A LOT of drinking and partying. Most of the time it is ANYTHING goes. I talked to on officer there and asked a couple questions. The answer was "this is private property and i was asked to be out here. Unless things get WAY out of control with fights. I can not do anything unless asked by owners". Without spelling it out I bet you get the idea. So the short answer is, NO, unless you like the PARTY scene.
  9. What kind of Oil are you using? The different Oils can cause slippage as well. Did you check your friction plates when changing the spring? Did you do the upgrade to the last plate to make it a whole friction instead of a half?
  10. Corbin_One, Are you going to adapt your tank to work with the new reverse hannigan has started to offer? Oh and when i was under one in daytona looking at the reverse the gas cap hooks to a small piece of hose that hooks to the tank. I would say a 1.5 or 2 in. I am not sure since i dont have one to double check size.
  11. welcome to the LED world. The only light that isnt LED on my bike is the headlight and that is an HID. All others are LED. Much brighter and easier to see day and night. Enjoy.
  12. That is about as heavy or even lighter that the pop-up campers that a lot of us pull. I pull a aspen classic with my two wheeler. Yes I understand force and physics very well. You just have to be even more careful and give your self even more room. Up to you but I think you would be ok other than the DRAG it will put on the bike.
  13. There really is nothing to this project. I built my own, installed, and wire for trailer. It is a simple job. To just install hitch maybe 20 min. To wire the bike and run the wire like you want maybe 45 if take time and know the wires you need to attach to. Buy from Larry and do it yourself or ask around for a close by VR.org member to help. If I was close by I would help.
  14. I like it. I am proud to be an American and very patriotic with a father that served our nation for many years and retired. I was also born on the exact day and year that the Vietnam Memorial Black Wall was dedicated 11-11-82. I believe these guys "Madison Rising" are doing a very positive thing. Bringing attention to the people by music about what is going on in our nation. Music is a very powerful ave since it is one thing that brings people together and connected no matter where you come from. Their whole album is all about American pride and passed on through some great rock music. I hope they continue their journey. I also like a well sung traditional "Star Spangled Banner" by the right people. Continue to be proud of our nation because right now we all need to stand up for our rights as AMERICANS!! THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HAVE SERVED (PAST, PRESENT, & FUTURE)....USAF, USMC, ARMY, NAVY, USCG
  15. prayers being sent.....hope he gets to feeling better real soon.
  16. I just got back from Daytona last night. I usually go at least once a year if not twice for both events. I have many friends down south. It kills me to go to an event and see trailers with bikes on them from the exact state the event is in. I usually have a trailer with me though at every event I go to, the one I PULL BEHIND me. Everyone RIDE SAFE the season is in full swing down here in the south. "Man the life of a "BIKER".....Heading to our next Bike Week Event"
  17. I have an Aspen Classic which is a King bed, LARGE cargo (has two "basement" parts between the frame), larger changing room. I do not have electric brakes and it pulls find in the mountains.
  18. I have had the sierra before and did not care for those. I bought J&M from them in Sturgis got a good deal and they installed them. I think they are the middle of the road set. I do like them much better than sierra, mics are more clear and music more crisp. I have also hear EdSets (http://www.edsets.com/) are real good but haven't tried. I may try them if these die one day. Good luck and do over pay.
  19. I run the $35 Northern Tool ones on my bike and they match the HID great.
  20. I just checked their website and they have the 7" now. I searched the web for them for price and they are running in the $200+. I think i will stick with my lifetime warranty HID headlamp with LED running lights.
  21. I looked him up of course after seeing this and he has built quite a few mini cars from scratch. Very talented guy. http://www.dwarfcarpromotions.com/
  22. I just left nationwide that i had for 15 yrs for auto, 11 yrs motorcycle, 7 yrs house. I went with "Allstate" for autos and house. Went to progressive for bike. My allstate agent said here in NC they could never beat progressive since they specialize in 'luxury/recreational' vehicles. I saved by switching 2/3rd the cost at nationwide alone on just the motorcycle. I also cut the rest in 1/2. I will stay with them a few years then shop around again. Good luck! Ins companies are just there to protect the good people.
  23. When he gets his reverse done I am sure it will be cheaper as well and a lot of retro trikes will most likely do his. specially if it is easier to install in a garage at home.
  24. nice looking gauge pod. bad thing is it will not work with any modifications to the handle bars. So no risers or flander upgrades. they will hit when you turn the bars at slow speed.
  25. I just added everything up for a one color (mine is a midnight) with everything it would be ~16,500 USD before Tax That is with reverse, foot fairings, aux fuel, trailer hitch, and steer lite kit.
