I have a pair of chrome covers that go over the clutch and front brake master cylinders for my '89. What I dont have is a set if socket head bolts to hold them down with, I do know that the thread size is an M10-1.25 about a half inch should be long enough. I can find the M10 socket bolts, but not in the fine thread. And If I look on the internet, Fastenel carries the one for the left side (clutch), but the one on the right is a left hand thread. (just like the mirror would be.) Anybody got a pair of bolts that would fit or know of a hardware store that carries such a thing? Lowes, Home depot, ace and true value are no gos in this area.

I have read about baking the TCI at 100 degrees for 30 min or so. Is there a thread that tells the whole process and tells me what to look for? THanks, Jeff

This thread over on the other board says to remove the RH header pipe in order to get the starter out. Is this correct? Because this one says nothing about it.

I'm assuming that most regular readers of this forum have read about Eck's close call in this thread. I've been thinking about this all night and getting sicker and sicker about what happened. Folks, this world seems to be getting worse and worse....How can someone do this to someone else? Scripture says that "in the last days the love of many will grow cold"....Yep, for sure we see that happening. This creep that ran Eck down cares nothing for others. And the scary thing is that he's not alone... Several people have suggested to Eck that he go to the TV stations and ask them to run a news report on this situation, and to offer a reward for information leading to the arrest of this jerk. I want to add my support to that idea. He needs to be caught and soon. I've been thinking......there are over 6000 members of this VR Family, and roughly 150 of us have posted to Eck's original thread. If we all chipped in a few bucks to a reward fund we could come up with enough to get someone's attention. Hey, we ALL can afford something....let's face it, most of us have expensive hobbies....bikes, hunting, fishing, boating, golf, etc....it wouldn't hurt us to part with a few bucks for such a fund. I don't know how to go about implementing this....maybe a PayPal collection? Yeah, that could work. I even have a PP account that could be used. I am willing to start it off if any of the rest of you are interested. I will start it with $10 toward the fund..... IF it's ok with ECK. So..., Eck what do you say? Please give this some consideration, and LET US HELP! Your family wants to be involved. Chime in folks. Joe

Could someone please tell me where I could find the adapter that allows you to still split the fairing on a RSV without removing the Passing lights? I know I saw this on a thread here, but I can no longer find it. Any help would be great.. JM

I've been checking out dlhoulton's thread from back in January on his air filter swap and thought I would add to it with some more info. Here's a link to the thread. According to the thread a 57mm flange is needed so I did a little looking at K&N's website and using their universal air filter search came up with a lot of choices. And there are no adapters needed for the flange as they offer many 57mm flange size filters. Here is the link to the tool. Just choose the style you want (round, oval, conical) and then choose the flange size, angle offset, etc. This is the one that I like... RC-1252 $68.99 for a set of 2 http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/norm/knn-rc-1252_w_m.jpg They look like they could be attached without needing a support bracket. Have to make that decision after getting them. The best place that I have found to get K&N is Autozone. The local store can get them usually overnight and for a better price than anywhere else. Just more info for anyone that may want it.

I must be in a good place. I've had two visits from Venture riders in as many weeks. V7 Goose and his brother stopped by a little while ago. They are in their second day around our great state. Oh how I wish I could go too! He said he would update his thread if he could get an internet connection tonight. I'm looking forward to hearing about their adventures. Jackie

I've received a couple of PMs about the restaurant review forum. People are asking how they post there? I'm sorry for any confusion but the reason you can't post there is because it is not finished yet. It will take me a few days to get it finished. Once it is done, it will be different than other forums here. There will be forms for each state and province. You will select the form for the state/province that the restaurant is in and fill it out. The results of that form will be automatically posted to the correct thread in that forum. You will not be able to post directly in those forums as you do others. The reason is that I think it should be limited to reviews and not with a lot of responses and comments. This will make it easier if a member wishes to print the thread from one or more states. They will get the list and not a lot of additional talk. There will automatically be a poll attached to each thread so folks will be able to see if other members have eaten there and what their thoughts were. I hope this makes sense and that it is acceptable to everybody. I will post here to let you know when it is ready to go. It may be as late as early next week though. I still have a lot of work to do there.

I was wondering if there is a way to save a particular thread for future reference? I know how to save it to my favorites on my computer, but I was wondering if there is a way to save it under me on this site? Thanks hairman

OK folks, you will likely notice that I am testing a new feature here. If you don't like it, just say so and it can go away quicker than it showed up. When you are posting a new message, the software will search for similar topics already posted before you submit your post. It basically works the same way as the current feature that shows a list of similar threads AFTER you post a new thread. This one will do it before you post though so that if your question has already been answered, you may find it before posting again. This should really help those of you who aren't so good at searching. It may be irritating to some though so let's try it and then let me hear your feedback. By the way, after you type your thread title and see the list of similar threads pop up, if you hover your mouse over each of the similar thread titles, a pop up will show you a summary of that post. Thanks Don

Ive been getting emails about the big patches . I sent out the last three I had. I can get the same deal from my guy that we been getting as long as I order 25 . So with that, who needs one or more . Lets try and get a count on this thread. 15.00 to your door. This is cost on these no one is making any money on these. The cost to ship out of the U.S will be more.

I've been a member since May of 2008 and somewhere between then, someone posted a thread on a women's black, mesh riding jacket. I ordered one and I love it. Now I have 2 friends that want one. I have no info or receipt. The tag says www.power-trip.com but when I went to the website, that doesn't look familiar, and I didn't see the one I have. I know that the cost was really low, around $35.00 plus shipping and I remember that they normally cost around $200.00. It also has the removable armour. When I did a search in "riding accessories, the only thread I found was from 06, so I know that's not the one. Can anyone help me out? Thanks Deb
