I'm planning to check the float measurements on my 08 RSV in a couple of weeks. What are my carb-related opportunities while I have the carbs off of the bike? Suggestions or comments are always welcomed!

I'm new to the form..I have a 1988 Ventuer Royale that has been sitting for the last 5 years. Before I try starting it I would like to remove the gas tank & clean it out & replace the fuel lines. Can anyone help me out on how to do this? Also any other suggestions on what to check on this bike would be helpful. Would like to have it up & going in time for the Rally!!!! I need help with my Saddle Bag Rail Reflectors on my RSV. The reflector on the right side rail of the saddle bag broke. I have been searching for a replacement but cannot find one anywhere. Does any one have any suggestions. I have attached a photo to show what I am looking for. Any help is appreciated. Dwight -
My trunk is busted up pretty bad from stress cracks and I need a new one. The PO tried repairs with something that looks like JB Weld and did a bad job. Pieces gone, etc. Anybody use an aftermarket one? Which one? Which ones do I avoid? I see a bunch on them on eBay and I am open to suggestions. I'm sure I'm not the first to ask about this but haven't found a thread so far. Thanks for helping the newbie. -
I'm still cleaning up my 83 and noticed what looks like antifreeze on a bent tube by the front crash bar on the right side. I've attached a picture and wonder what it might take for a fix. Doesn't look like an easy fix. I think the previous person had some goop on it. Any suggestions?

all of a sudden , no audio output either from the speakers or the headset from any source, GPS, radio, CD intercom, anything. I have a mike mute installed have worked for many miles. I have checked all the fuses I can find. all the electronics work, it's like the amperfier isn't working,, any suggestions

Passanger intercom/radio connection
SMSgt posted a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I saw a picture of an RSV showing the passenger intercom recepticle up on the back of the drivers back rest. I would like do that to mine. Has anyone seen that or made that mod? Can anyone offer me any suggestions? I know it will take some kind of wiring work under the left rear armrest but I can't even get that off. Thanks Kent -
I have a friend who rides a BMW 1200 , he is interested in buying something ( should be a Venture) that he can use or add to his BMW so we can communicate, Would be great it there was something he could use so we could talk on the CB other than him having to install a CB on his bike. any suggestions? or is there an inexpensive CB that would work somehow

I have a '99 RSV and in this off season I want to update my bike to make it more comfortable for my wife (rider). Wondering what suggestions you guys have and what you have done to make it a little better. Wondering about armrests. Are they work the effort? How about other suggestions? Thanks, Scott....

I would like to install a good volt meter on my 89 VR, for I understand the dash meter does not provide a reliable read. Is that correct? So I would appreciate some good suggestions as to what there is out there and where a good place to install it. And any other related suggestions? -
Just curious as to what is everyone's favorite motorcycle magazine/riding magazine? I know there are several out there, but I think best ones are those that don't cater to any particular brand and speak more to the tips, suggestions and articles in a more general way. So basically, as a rider (of a Venture or Gold Wing)...what is your magazine(s) of choice? Wally

I'm considering doing the V-Max rear end swap since I will be pulling a trailer on trips. Is there a place that is recommended for getting one of these? And is there a group of years that fit a 99 Venture? Also is this a great improvement over a stock rear end? Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions> Big Mike

I have a problem with my throttle grip. It's not returning to idle on it's own. It started after the bike sat in the rain at work. I have lubbed the cables and tried to lube the linkage with no success. I would apperciate any suggestions. I can still ride but it's not comforting keeping a constant grip to return the throttle.

So I have the one TomTom RAM Mounts dosent make a base for....go figure! SWMBO says there is no new GPS in my future. Any mounting suggestions? Anyone want to trade for something I can mount to my RSV w/o difficulty? Thanks!

I was doing some maintenance before going on a three day trip with our local Star group so while I was at it I blocked off the AIS with rubber plugs. I was hoping that the popping would be gone. It's the same as it was before. I guess I need to check for an exhaust leak. Will synchronizing the carbs help? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

After the past few weeks, I have really started to experience lower tail bone discomfort. A pain in the "behind"! Have had the Butler Modification done and been good comfort up until the now. Looking for driver saddle options? Also, I have been adjusting my Utopia Backrest to be a little more upright, to assist in posture for riding. Seems to helps some, but not totally after the 2 hours or so. As for size, I'm 6'1" and 33" in-seam and bike fits well for height. Did the Level Links as well and did not notice any significant change for "fit" Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Trying to finalize a place to stay - or at least get a general idea of what I am looking at and it seems like almost anything along I-90 in MT is 100+?!?!!? Anyone have any suggestions on somewhere reasonably priced to stay? I have checked some campgrounds out, and even several of those want anywhere from 30 to 50 /night FOR A TENT campsite?! Sheesh. Since I'll be doing 1800 miles in a very short amount of time, I'd sort of like to have something softer than a picnic table at a rest area... I'm open to suggestions. I saw a thread a while back on travel hammocks which looked pretty awesome, but I certainly did not have time to order it and have it arrive in time. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance! -
I need to rais the passeger foot rest on my 2007 Royal Star Tour Deluxe about 3-4". Does any know if they make some kind of extension to the mount where this can be done or any other suggestions will be apreciated. Thanks all
