I've posted some of the pictures that I took of the rally last weekedn at http://s252.photobucket.com/albums/hh10/greg_in_london/sidecar%20rally/ I hope that you find some of them interesting. There are a wide range of bikes, sidecar styles and fittings, plus a few with conversions to car wheels and/or tyres. This is my outfit and the tent (erected) http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh10/greg_in_london/sidecar%20rally/DSCF2011.jpg And this is it as it is towed. http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh10/greg_in_london/sidecar%20rally/DSCF2071.jpg A friend came down from Lancashire with his XVZ13 and sidecar. There are also a few pictures of his car wheel rear conversion. He is running a 145x15, but may have to switch to 135x15 as he says he's having trouble finding the 145. http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh10/greg_in_london/sidecar%20rally/DSCF2020.jpg This is a particularly flashy BMW and sidecar. It has car tyres front and back, hub centre steering and a sidecar wheel powered from the single sided swingarm. http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh10/greg_in_london/sidecar%20rally/DSCF2028.jpg As I said, browse the rest of the pictures and I hope you like them. Some are of different bikes and some are different views of the same ones.

My '04 is now triked. I got it back on the 3rd and it has been raining ever since. Today will be the first day that I'll have it on the road. As soon as I get some pictures of it I'll post them. The "Venture" continues now on three wheels. Ken:banana:

I wore out my camera! We were on the way home Sunday morning from Maintenance Day when I was taking sunrise pictures and all of a sudden, all I was taking was black pictures. Battery was good so I was not sure what was going on? Sooo, I thought, humm, it shows I have 164 pictures left to take, but the chip must be full after taking a 1,000 of them. Got home, took out the chip, put in a new chip. Same result. Took out the battery, put in another one. Same result. Sleeperhawk reset all settings. Same result! Called Canon this morning and it seems it could be the mirror, so I have shipped it off to be repaired. Hopefully, it won't take too long to get it fixed. I have had the camera since December 2005 and have taken over 10,000 pictures if not more. I feel lost without it, but when it comes back, it will be like new! I am so thankful that it lasted as long as it did. That was why I was unable to take pictures of Muffinman and Sleeperhawk trading bikes for the short ride on the way home! At least the camera lasted enough to take pictures of our Venture Family during Maintenance day!

I guess my laptop is toast. The screen just decided to shut off after about a minute. I started it back up and it does the same thing. Took it to a repair shop and they said the motherboard is starting to go out. I think Ruth is feeling abandoned since I have to go upstairs (we have a desktop in the den) to yak on VentureRiders. Has anyone bought a laptop lately? I mainly use mine to surf the internet, download our pictures, and music for the MP3 player. Guess I need to re-educate myself on what all those specifications mean. I have a Dell laptop that is about 3 to 4 years old. Doesn't the new Vista operating system eat up a lot of memory?

Sorry to miss the main event at Freebirds Maint Day. So just tell Yammer Dan to represent WV chapter and eat my share of the food. Were out of here in 1 hr. I expect to see lots of pictures posted when I get to the beach. I got two pc's loaded so our next post is from Hatteras Island. The 84 is strapped down good in the back of my pickup.

I will try and post again but no luck so far.I saw other people post pics that you view them in Photo Bucket. So I signed up and posted Carl's Meet & Great111 on here. Try sleepy2_2008 to view. If this worked I can try and post pictures from before.

Didn't want to do it, but I just dont have the room for two bikes, a car, a truck, and a trailer. So I posted 'Big Red' in the classifieds here and on Craig's List for the Dayton, OH section. There used to be a link to a program that would allow us to resize pictures for uploading, but I cannot find it. I would like to include some more recent pictures of the bike, but they are too large to upload. Does anyone have the link handy? Thanks.

Guys and gals, how do you get the map of the USA & Canada to show up when you post or reply to a post, of where you have been in our two great countries? Also how do you get the pictures on your VRPhotos and vBPicGallery? Thanks all Joop:7_6_3[1]:

I am finally about to reinstall my engine. Please don't ask what I was doing. I am embarassed enough and here's another embarrassing thing. But my question is that the motor mounts have a "D" shape at the ends. My '86-'87 OEM manual does not specify the exact way these should face. The OEM factory manual has pictures of the engine in various stages of disassembly. But I am not sure if I shoud go by these pictures? And looking at the long term wear on them. I can figure out the rear mounts. But the front...I am not so sure:confused24:. So I either need pics from someone or maybe someone can describe which direction the flat side of the "D" should be facing on one side. Then I can do the same on the other. One more thing....I am putting the engine in SUNDAY 4/6. email me if you can or reply here. I will check before I start @2pm EDT. ..email jsmthefix@optimum.net

I've seen this issue come up now and then, thought I'd post a link to see if it might help some folks. http://www.picturetrail.com/webpages/editor/product.shtml This is a link to a simple photoeditor I used when I was on a pc. It will do batch (multiple) resizing of photos, and even add watermarks if you want. It will also batch upload to the PictureTrail site, but you dont have to use that function, you can just save pictures to a new folder, or resize the ones you have. Then you can upload pictures to this site, or others, that have a size limitation. I'm using a mac now, and batch resizing is included in iPhoto, so I dont use PictureTrail now, but I did in the past and it worked well.

I went to the junk yard and got two identical screw jacks and welded them together end to end. The jacks where pretty reasonable. Here are pictures with some measurments.
