Had to leave out last night to visit a customer of mine about 3 hours from home so thought I'd take the scoot and make a ride out of it. About 45 min. down the road (it's dark out) and I begin to hear the truckers talking about a "big ol gator" at mile marker 71.4 I look up to see where I am and BAM. At that point I didn't have to wonder where it was anymore. The bad part is that it was laying upright and curled instead of flat. I rode it out, but it shattered one & maybe both of my lower cowlings. Guess I'll be looking for those soon. I'm just glad I'm here to tell about it.

All the tests are done (I hope) and should find out tomorrow if I need more surgery. Spine shaped like an S, hips not inline, and where back was fused is at a angle to the left, gained 80 lbs. Hope they have a plan because quite frankly just cannot take this pain anymore. And tired of setting on my butt all the time. Just glad I can still ride, it's about the only thing I can do anymore. Venting done, wish me luck.

Anyone have a lower cord from intercom to helmet they dont need anymore? The one on my sons helmet is shorting out.

Somebody at Carl's gathering last weekend was asking me about the lights I picked up the other weekend at Wallyworld and I can't remember who it was. Whoever that was, get back to me.....I don't need those lights anymore and will sell them too you if you want them.

I lost the rear caliper cover, the plastic one that snaps into the top of the caliper. Does anyone have a spare they dont need anymore? Second gen......Thanks

I have been looking around for a Pillow top seat for my 2005 RSV. I have the corbin seat that was on my bike when I got it but since my hip replacement it just isn't comfortable for long rides anymore. If anyone one has one and would like to sell it please drop me a line. Thanks Steve

Trying to stretch the mileage per gallon of gas, I went out and bought another bike. I pick up a Yamaha XT225 Dual-sport ( now they have fancy names we used to call them enduro's). What a great little bike, it can get up 80+ mpg, there seems to be a big following on XT225/250 web site too. Now I can take advantage of another part of our sport. Not motor-cross my body could not put up with that anymore. I am talking about leisure exploring the woods. Now where are there some woods on Long Island? Since I layed my RSV down a few weeks ago, the little lady does not want to ride with me anymore - so I got me a bit** to take her place - when I can ride again, that is!

Hello everyone! Great site! I just recently purchased an 86'. The previous owner put a slip stream windshield on the bike which I find too short. Does anyone make an aftermarket windshield for this bike anymore? Or do I need to just focus on finding a used stock one? Thanks again!

When I move the cursour over a post it normally opens a little block that lets me see the first couple lines of a post. It does not seem to work anymore. IS it the site or my computer ? If my ciomputer what do I do to fix Brad

Wildhair, saw one of your posts where mention you have a Kawasaki Voyager. It brought to mind something I have been looking for for a neighbor who has one. He is an average height guy, but short legged. We were talking about lowering devices for the Kaw, similar to the links we use on the RSV & RSTD. He said he had checked around and couldn't find anything, but he's not computer savvy and in fact doesn't own one. He has, for all practical purposes, quit riding because he has to tip-toe the bike at a stop and just isn't comfortable with it anymore like it is. I searched around & couldn't find anything either. Do you know of either a part no., a source or template or something that I might pass along to him. He's a good guy and I know he wants to ride more; like when he first got the V'ger. Any help is appreciated and anyone else here that knows something that might be helpful, by all means, chime in. (other than the ever present advice to replace it with a Venture. May be valid, but not real helpful--in context) Thanks

So, I will add it here. There used to be a little box where the rating column is now (same place where the paperclip is) for posts showing me what I was subscribed to (posted to). I do not see it anymore and I used to to quickly find posts that I wanted to keep up with. Has this moved to another place or not a part of this upgrade?

Greetings, I was at the local dealer couple days ago , The owner of the place has a 2000 mm RSV that he will sell me for 8500.00. What I was wondering is that a good price for it? And if so he said he had not started it for about a year. He told me they would clean the carbs and put in a new batt. It is his own personal bike. He was in a car accident so he was not able to ride anymore. Buy the way it just has 1000 mls. on it. What other things should i BOLO for? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you. bossman.

I am looking for footboards/floorboards for my 1st gen VR but am having difficulty finding something I know will work. There are so many floorbards out there but out rides are getting old enough that theyre not included in the listing on what will fit anymore. Any suggestions ideas? Just got out bid on a pair on ebay that were markland brand but I cant find any info on them either. Thanks for all your ideas in advance.

I am looking for a backrest for my Millenium Edition 2000 RSV. Yamaha doesn't offer the color anymore. It is a tan color. Does anyone have one lying around???
