check out the sticky at the top of the watering hole cindy has set a deadline on the t-shirt order for the 09 rally. all the details are there. cindy carries a big club. when she talks people listen. she's even getting boo straightened out. and thats a major job in it's self. please help cindy out, she has worked awful hard on this registration for all you folks. thanks, bill

i kind of like my magellan over my garman. i'm trying to get garman do donate a gps for the st. jude raffle at the 09 rally, under their donation program, and they have yet to get back with me. it has been over a week.

looks like things are coming together for the 09 rally. more people are beginning to register and it's coming upon us fast. what a ride this has been. it's alot of work putting these meets together. i have a great bunch on my committee. now we need all the folks that are planning to attend to help us out and get registered as soon as you can. we can't wait to see all you folks. bill :clap2:

why do we have to put up with these aholes. happened to me years ago. makes you really feel violated and vulnerable. can't shoot them ,you might make the aclu mad. they got rights you know. love that aclu.

they did'nt have one. after reading several tests i think i will have to pass. hard to beat the new wing. sounds kind of under powered and a slight bit archaic. i do like the looks. it would be hard to give up the 1800 wing power. it is just awesome. i think i went through a short midlife crisis and bought a bunch of new bikes. think i ended up with some keepers, and realized it ain't so bad to be an old fart. now i am going to start enjoying what i got.

thanks for all the ideas and support. went down to harbor freight this morning and bought the little trailer with 12" wheels, on sale for $199.00 i'm going to narrow it, and put a plastic box on it. i figure $300.00 for the finished trailer. now i have to make a couple of hitches. the price they get for new ones is a little much. hey lewis, i'm shooting for vogel. i have that week free so i'm am wanting to make that my maiden voyage. hope to be there. bill ps. did a little more shopping for some camping equipment. bought a coleman cooler and a beer drinking chair with a drink holder. linda thinks i am nuts. imagine that.

be patient, don't get in no hurry. just glad your doing ok. that goes for dooder to. this is your chance to get waited on, and get some rest.

okay group it's time to get back to work. the 09 rally date is coming up fast. check in on the private site and let me know where we are at on your special assignments. i think i have all my ducks in a row. so if any one needs any help give me a holler. need to get going on the vendors, and a possible bike part flea market area. also entertainment. the big assignment for everyone that is planning on attending is getting registered and throwing us any ideas that you have to make this a better meet. also any one that wants to donate something for the drawing pm me, roadkill, or dooder1. looking forward to this one and really want to see a bunch of new and old faces there. for those that can't decide, i will garrantee there is some of the most awesome riding and beautiful country in the usa as soon as you pull out of the hub. not to mention a great bunch of venture riders will be there to share the great times with including ole snarley bill, and my great commiitee. :rotf:we are all working hard to make this a memorable event for everyone that attends.

hey brad what do you have? i want to build something really small, light, and compact. thats why i'm going to get all my camping gear together so i can measure it. i figure i will start out with a harbor freight trailer with 12" wheels and cut it down. i looked at one today for $199.00. then i want to use a plastic box and a small cooler on the front. i don't want to know it's back there.

i have to have 2 hitches. one for the v-star and one for the wing. starting to watch ebay for a hitch. i love both bikes and have to walk out and look at them before i decide what i'm going to ride. i may even show up some where on my majesty scooter. if it's got two wheels it works for me. may even show up somewhere on a new voyager.

well, i always said when i grow up i want to be just like la.. i'm getting set up to hit the road. bought a tent and lantern. just a start. i'm going to start building a little trailer to haul my camping gear. can't afford all the motels. linda thinks i'm nuts and have oldtimers. i got this picture of me sitting among the trees at a campsite barbequing pork steaks , drinking beer and listening to 50's music on my satilite radio by myself. it don't get no better than that. she said i'm not going, i said you aren't invited. i'm just following my dream. going shopping again tomorrow for some more gear. going to try to get my stuff together for vogel. does this sound like oldtimers or what? you bet it does. don't have no one to leave anything to accept linda and my puppy. so i might as well have a good time. yahoo!

please start thinking about registering for the 09 rally, i have to give randall at the hub a rough count the first part of july for the final meal, and if you want your patches and t-shirts when you get there, cinderella needs a number so she can get the order off. we are trying to keep ahead on everything so we don't get all backed up at the last minute. so register as soon as possible and help us out. thanks. the 09 committee

i had a roadsofa off a venture on my rstd. i rode a 625 mile day with wrongway from georgia. was starting to squirm but could have gone another couple of hundred miles. it was okay. my favorie is a corbin. very hard but comfortable after you get a thousand miles on it. soft is not always better. i'm not a big mike corbin fan ,but he makes good seats, with memory foam. you have to break them in. i've had five corbins from the time he started making them to the one i now have on my v-star. they have improved from day one. like don said the seat others like may not be to your liking. corbins theory is farmers can sit in a metal tractor seat all day cuz it gives total support even though it is not padded i can verify that. he shapes them so your not supporting you weight with the boys and the tail bone.

just can't seem to get on board for this dislike of other bikers, whether they ride a harley or a cheap chinese scooter. i met a winger this weekend that i emailed later and he told me all the nights they had rides if i wanted to participate. then he informed me ,and i qoute, we are just regular people we don't wear those funny vests and fancy pants. i'm not into the costume but i do have one, not for the looks, but the chaps are for my warmth and protection and my vest with all the patches is because i am proud of all the meets i have been to and i am proud to wear the american flag. i just wrote this guy and his group off. to each his own. i don't hold his views against him, but just not my kind of people. i'm not going to lower myself to bad mouth him, cuz i ain't perfect myself. a harley is just another bike to me. if i wanted one i would have one. they just don't have a particular model that suits me. we have alot of harley riders on this site and quite a few who would like to have one. i don't even know why these threads go on and on. we are all bikers. there are good bikers and there are bad ones. take the bike away and the people don't change. there are good people and there are alot that aren't worth nothing. the bike don't make the person. just my 2 cents

lowell is here now and just told us about kenny. linda and i really feel especially bad cuz his mishap happened at our st. charles meet. we will be praying for him and i am going to send a pm down there shortly. i just hope he is doing okay. bill -
just got a call from lowell and he said i'm out here in the driveway, let me in. trying to get him to catch some sleep. he's heading for dooder's later. said he had a great time at md.
