not sure yet. just in the dreaming stage now. i just really like the nomads, mostly the new one. if i get a new one it won't be till after the riding season. the totally new model was just introduced. i have to see one in real. apparently thats going to be a job in itself .

i did'nt do the test run at highway speed. haven't got the wireloom for my bikes for the trailer lights. so i have no brake lights and turnsignals. it takes a 5 wire to 4 wire converter. figured i will wait till it is legal before i hit the highway. don't see any problems. it was fine at 55 mph.

went looking for a new 1700 nomad this morning. stopped at a very big motorsport dealer and asked if they had one. the lady said no but we can get you one. i said are you going to get one in. she said probably not. can not believe this. i told her i would at least like to see, and sit on one. they must have had at least 100 new bikes on display, like 2 of each. sounds like the no stock venture deal all over again. guess i will have to wait for the new ones to hit ebay. i think i want one, but would like to see how big and heavy it feels. the waiting game is on.

hey kyle, half the fun of being a biker is working on them. kind of like building a train layout. the fun is in the building. probably no one on this site does bikes more than me. i dream about them, build them, fix them, i do bikes almost 24 hours a day everyday and have since i was 12 years old. this site is the neatest one on the web. there is a special friendship here 24, 7, be it tech stuff, bull crap or what ever. let your hair down and make that bike a big priorty in your life. it will pay you back big time in many hours of enjoyment. bill :clap2:

took the new trailer i built for a test run today, behind my v- star. you must remember i am covering unknown ground here. amazingly, i could'nt tell it was back there. i put a few items in it for weight, but it did'nt seem to effect the bikes power. only took it up to 55 mph. planning on a long run tomorrow and 75 miles per hour. i have a hitch for my wing but haven't installed it yet. i don't like the idea of pulling a trailer, but i want to go camping. it sure does look stupid back there and i feel like a real ass. who cares you only go aroumd once.

hey goose, great idea. kudos. bill :clap2:

i know of quite a few who have not registered that are coming. we are going to have a crowd. you are welcome even if you don't want to be there for the final meal or want t-shirts. the main reason we wanted people to register is to get a count. registration is not necessary at all, if you don't want to. we are not trying to make money on the meet we just want to pay for the things that the people that register get. if we come out ahead the extra money goes into a fund for front money for other meets. we want this to be a successful meet and if you don't want the tees or the final meal, there is no need to register. just be there. like cindy said you can register when you get there. bill -
i did so bad, i did'nt even figure what i owed . i just sent some. hope it was enough.

took the zx-14 out this morning for a test run. was awful tempted to see if the if the 186 mph factory limiter still works since i installed my gi pro. it tricks the computer into thinking your in 6th gear all the time so you get full ignition advance in all the gears. and the secondary butterflies open at 3000 rpm. basically you get the whole nine yards from the git go. not going to say what i had it up to, but i don't like the looks of them telephone poles. hard to keep the front end on the ground in the first three gears. i need to find an air airstrip. :cool10:- 51 replies
