  4. I replaced the rear tire on my 99.While I had the tire off I did all the maintenance known to mankind. My friend wanted his done also so we got started. After greasing the driveshaft we attempet to reinstall it.No go.The driveshaft wont line up with the yoke.Guess I got lucky with mine cause it went in the first try.Not so on his.We spent 2 days and still dont have the driveshaft in.We tried everything we can think of.Any suggestions or help will be much appreciated.

  9. Looks great Kevin.Your bike and mine look like twins now.I sure do enjoy mine. You have entered a new driving experience. When the wife is not riding with me I keep a 80 lb bag of sand in the sidecar, really helps. You gonna bring it up to NC this year?We can make pix of the bikes side by side.Enjoy the ride. Here is my sidecar on my 99. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2954083230037297848WAKmiM http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2046027390037297848zVunoY http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2046027390037297848zVunoY
  10. I used all the spare parts on my 1st gen.now it's a cool bike.
  11. I needed a new rear tire so I thought I would try removing it myself.I did it and also serviced the drive shaft ,changed brake pads, changed final drive gear oil, realigned the saddlebag rails, changed the speed sensor, did the hub service.Put it all back together and EVERYTHING WORKED GREAT.Thanks to all the information and pictures in the tech section,I would have never attempted this on my own.One thing I did do was build myself a safety stand that connects to the trailer hitch and extends as the bike is lifted.I drilled several holes to install a hitch pin and it held the bike sturdy while it was on the lift.
  12. 2 for me
