  1. Cinderella, i hope they finally lock him away and forget where they left the Key. I keep y'all in my Thoughts.
  2. Now, that's pretty obvious the Way of your Bikes saying that it's still alive and kicking .... :thumbsup2:
  3. Scottie, now that you pretty much neared that down to the Water Pump, drain the Coolant and knock that Thing off and take a Look inside. It seems to be quite uncommon, but nevertheless, it can happen

    Ouchhhhhhh, that hurt :big-grin-emoticon::big-grin-emoticon::big-grin-emoticon:
  5. Yes, that's the Difference, them 2nd Genners talk about fast, we 1st Genners are ...
  6. What makes you think one can't have a Thrill on a 1Gen ? A 1Gen serves any Purpose. At least mine is doing so. I guess it's an older Age Thing. Those Converted lose the Memory over Time and fail to remember how fast it really was on a 1Gen. To cite RandyA's Sig " The older i get, the faster i was" ... :big-grin-emoticon::big-grin-emoticon:
  7. That'll be 2 to 3 Millimeter, around an tenth of an Inch
  8. Yeah, he might have the Money, but he has the slower 2Gen .... :D
  9. You can buy another adjustable Bolts and replaced the fixxed one(on a Vmax that would be the left) with another adjustable Bolt. This Way you could adjust the rear Swingarm to your Likings and clear the Offset. Yamaha Germany states for the Vmax a Offset of 9mm /0.35 Inches is within Specs. I never find that right. 2 or 3 mm might be ok, but 9 mm are too much for me.
  10. I know the exploded View of both Units, but i cannot compute 'coupling Gear', for Instance. There's a saying, a Pic says more than a thousand Words
  11. Post up some Pics and we could to be helpful. Actually, i tried to picture your Description in the first Post, but i can't understand what your talking about. I'm a little familiar with the smaller Dimension Pumpkin and might offer an Opinion.
  12. I guess PS3 means Sony Play Station 3rd Edition. Other than this, i don't know anything. My Toys have Pistons and Wheels.
  13. Industrial Bearings Numbers are 32005X and 32006X. Buy some good industrial Brand Bearing and you'd be good to go. But you will have to salvage the Seal on the Lower Bearing from the old Set.
  14. The magentic Force in Combination with Electric Power starts to induce Current into the Armature. The Armature starts to turn and without Load, depending on the Drag in Bearings or Seals the Armature will have gained enough Power to keep on running even if you shut down the Voltage. But not only it will keep on running, it will start to spin faster and faster to the Point where the the Armature can't keep himself togehter. Then it will disintegrate, explode, literally. I've seen Pics of such Scenes and this is a Disaster. Running a DC Machine for a few Seconds isn't a big Deal, but i said this to aware you and someone else of this Situation. Maybe the Starter melted down, maybe the Starter Solenoid is the Culprit, or the internal Ground Connection. Needs further Investigation. Not nice after you put put someone else's Bike back into Duty, but it could be worse ... Starter isn't the worst to work and repair on.
  15. You, the Bike, a good Helmet and some Safety Gear might do it. What else should there be necessary ?
  16. I don't know if there are different Issues, but for checking the Vacuum, make sure you have enough Slack in the Throttle Cable. If there's no Slack, the Butterfly Valves can be slightly open all the Time and therefore reduce the the Vacuum Readings. Next could be the Idle Adjustment Screw is turned more in as it should, this would open the Butterfly Valves as no Slack in the Cable.
  17. Be careful when running the a Direct Current Machine such as Starter or Generator without Load. It can(in Fact it will sooner or later) start to self induce and will run faster and faster until it disintegrates, even without Voltage applied. That won't be funny and i wouldn't be around when this happens. I'm not sure if it may help on your Problem, but here's what i said about a Starter Issue ... no Feedback final from Jeremy so far, but anyway . http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showpost.php?p=245886&postcount=4
  18. According to his Profile it's an '91 VR
  19. As a born and raised Swabian, i totally agree on this .... and i would be happy to forward the Receipt to my Wife for testing Purpose. Thanks btw ... i said this before ... Did you know where the Scotsmen came from ?? Those are actually Swabians who have been casted out because of Prodigality... or how was the Copper Wire invented ?? Two Swabians saw that copper Penny lying on the Street at the same Time ... :D
  20. Jim, i'm sorry, but there are so much Subsystems in our CV Carbs, i can't describe them all and their Influence in Combination on the Mixture Buildup. There are a Lot Articles already on the Internet and in a Lot of better English than i can offer you. But i'd be happy to offer you my Knowledge and Experience if you ask a specific Question.
  21. I'd like to have the Receipt of Banana Split Cheesecake
  22. The Difference in the Air Jets is because of different Lifter Hole Borings in the Sliders and different Springs. The PAJ#1(Carb Throat) is the basic Air Jet for Idle and Above Circuit. The PAJ#2 (behind the Diaphragm) is adjusting the opening Speed of the Slider. When i work on Vmax Carbs, i often make them smaller(stock is 170, i make them 150 or 147.5) this gives a better(faster) Throttle Response. But this will cost you Fuel when your riding with a nervous Wrist or in town Traffic. There sure is more Difference between the Jet Needles and Needle Jet. We discussed this in Greg's Thread about his bad Mileage.
  23. http://www.leonhardtweb.de/en/gunbus/design.htm This Company isn't far away from my Home, but i never saw one in Person.
  24. That's fine also

If you come over here next Year, you sure can ride it. But you can't have it, it's my Companies Property ... :D :D On the other Hand you are lucky! Be assured, once you test ridden it, you desperately would have started to think about Solutions how to come up with 1 Grand right now(not that big Problem with some Adjustments) and another nineteen until February/March next Year. This Thing will be ridiculous and once you've ridden it, it's like a Drug. Addictive just don't describe it enough. You can't get it out of your Head anymore. I know this first Hand form the modified Maxxes i've ridden, and they where all less powerfull than this Beast is in stock Setup.
