  1. I think a 2 week notification would be good. I know I was just away on a 8 day trip and stumbled upon a internet connection after 5 days gone. I could have been in the same situation, but as it has been told before you can renue at any time even months before if you like. Ill try to monitor my renewal date.
  2. Scam......................... He is a used car dealer and does not have a checking account
  3. With not having the complete details I cannot comment too much on this, BUT am watching it closely. I, like many others here, still am under factory warranty, and have a concern that "if" something happens to "my" bike...................will it be down for 3 months + ???? I am not excited about the thought of making bike payments and missing our riding season. Will be nice to see the final outcome. I just hope in the end the op dont get taken to the cleaners.
  4. Mounting bracket for the tuning controller off a 2nd gen to do a conversion of a second gen audio to first gen bike.
  5. Well Sir to you I say I am so sorry. You appear to have the patience of "Jobe". Around my house, as the old term goes, "that dog will NOT hunt" !!
  6. In my opinion the most important change would have been to add it on the forums page. All the internal changes to the classifieds do not meen anything if you DO NOT find the classifieds. GENERAL DISCUSSIONS TECH TALK ...... ..... ..... ..... VENTURERIDER VENDORS CLASSIFIEDS VENTURERIDER WEBSITE DISCUSSIONS
  7. This is my 5th year i a row here. We really enjoy the track, and the events around the track. Sure does make for a awesome week. They are on the track right now practicing. Our camp site is .9 of a mile from the track so we hear them easily. Ill get some pictures and post m up.
  8. Well Im here. Actually got in town Monday. Nice weather and looking forward to a great time and a lot of racing...............calling for bad weather Friday, but it should pass. I am suprised at how few bikes I have seen here.
  9. I am betting base timing is off somehow. He could have changed out the distributor and has it off time. You should NEVER have to crank a distributor foll turn any one way or another to get it in time. The possibility is still there for plugged exhaust. Especially not knowing what happened to the engine they took out. If it popped a head or piston and filled the exhaust with antifreeze, oil, or a combination of the two. Check base timing Check to make sure the plug wires are ono correctly. Check for plugged exhaust
  10. I have to eat crow a little. On the nissan it is showing the 4th digit as the engine code, not the 8th as with others. Also with you having a fuel injected engine and it running badly its quite possible it threw a code. Worth a trip to have codes pulled. As mentioned above from another member do not rule out exhaust either being plugged. I still am betting on a man made issue. Could be tough to chase down though.
  11. Most of the time I rested mine on my wifes knee. Was nice. When put my hand back to the bars I just rested m palm on the end weight. Was just curious since the throttle moves back and forth what others did.
  12. Should run ok then........ Or it could be one year different and the firing order goes from 1342 to 1324 Could be 2 valve or three valve per cylinder. Could have been a FI converted to Carb or visa versa......... The 8th digit of the current truck and donar truck must match from the vin number. Automatically assume you are chasing a man made issue. Start from the beginning and verify the engine put in it BELONGS in it. Could be a ka24e, or a z24, or a z24i Go to the truck you bought. Count over 8 digits on the vin number and post that number.
  13. I love the cruise. What a pleasure it is to have something like that on a bike. NOW for the question. Where do YOU rest your right hand?? I simply just rested mine on the bar end weight because the throttle.
  14. What was the "donar truck"........................?????????????
  15. Depending on your area $150.00 is not too bad. I was getting $99.95 2 yrs ago for the service. It is quite detailed in its process (IF DONE PROPERLY) and the chemical I used cost me like 12-15 bucks per bottle, took hour to hour half depending on vehicle and more times then not it tied up a lift the entire time. I totally agree on the fan. I made mention of it in my previous post. They are known for having terribly noisy clutch fans.
  16. I WAS but do not have to now. The ad was removed and we are enjoying to Venture more then ever now. Sometimes to really ppreciate something you have to loose, or nearly loose it. I was going to get rid of it for the obvious $$$ reasons, but now to a very unexpected turn of events we do not have to get rid of it...... I have a different appreciation of the bike now.
  17. Start it up, let id warm up. Have someone run the rpm's up to 2-2500 and hold it steady. CAREFULLY ease your hand in from of the exhaust outlet in the rear of the truck. IF the convertor is plugged it will be very very hot and very very moist. The roaring may simply be the clutch fan in the warmer temps. But may just as easily be the plugged exhaust. Does it have a check engine light on??? If so have it scanned free at autozone, oreillys, or wherever and post th code here. They will also give you a printout. DONT buy the O2 sensor it may say you need. Remeber it is a code READER ONLY.
  18. Thought I would post an update. I went and bought some seafoam and added it at a ratio of 1 oz per gal. Wife and I took off today, and 100+ miles later we returned home. Bike is 100% again. Cruise is perfec. No slobbering idle. Power is fantastic. We had such a wonderfull ride. Thought my wife took a nap there a few times . Anyway thanks for the replies. I do still have an appointment for 2 weeks out for a check up though just in case it decides to mess up again.
  19. Did you have an elmo as a picture by your user name? Rayz_379 here. Yes it is a great site just like this. I think at the very least the classifieds section needs to be on the forum page. I have seen more then one, including myself have to as about the classifieds. They are hid on the top bar.
  20. Its difficult when I compare this to other sites I go to. Trying to promote members as if they were vendors, or paid sponsors has to be hard. If the members who were manufacturing and selling had a website, then it would be a simple transition. BUT when you depend on a post to promote the product, they "blend in". I think that there needs to be a classifieds section on the main page. I am so accustomed to most every site I go to having all choices on the forum page and you scroll through them reaching the classifieds near the bottom. I had to hunt hard to even find the classified section when I joined. SPONSORS need a specific section, they pay for that. MEMBERS who are selling products need to be in regular classifieds. JUST MY $.02 Boss. Here is flat out the best laid out site I am a member on IN MY OPINION> the site owner makes sure the companies get the promition they pay for, yet easy for those members to sell as well. Im not saying to duplicate it, but for me this is a nice easy site to navigate. The side bar make all the difference I think. http://www.bbcboards.net/zeromain
  21. Red Kote all the way for me. Simple to use. Very good product. Have no experience with other products, but have used red kote many times with great success. It worked so good just never thought of buying anything else.
  22. I believe he has the ride like a pro series
  23. Yeah i noticed that its only when I sign in. I usually sign in so I can throw things on my watch list just to watch.
  24. I logged in to my ebay. I like to just look around so I try to choose "motorcycles" but a drop box comes down forcing me to pick a specific brand?? I dint want a specific brand I want to browse through everything. Since the motors selection box went to the Grey highlighted look this change took place. Anyone else seeing this?? So the menu bar from my ebay now will not allow you to choose just automobiles, or just motorcycles. You have to use the drop down box next to SEARCH to be able to just browse . Not a huge deal, but different to get used to.
  25. Very informative site. Thank you. In the past I have always put 1oz per gallon in fuel, and definetly have seen the results of introducing it into the air intake through a vaccum source. I was curious how everyone else used it. Appears to be 1 oz per gallon in the tank seems to be the norm. Though I will try it in a diesel to see how it does in there now after seeing the website. May put it in my tranny in the durango too just because. Thanks again. Very nice informational site.
