MPH loss on slight grade
royalstar09 replied to royalstar09's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I dont know if I want all 4 working untill I learn to handle it better :rotf: Ill call dealership in the AM. Id rather let them fix it, but from this post I at least can offer them some input in that I have one cylinder down, and which one it is. Bike ran perfect yesterday, this issue today............ooh well could be worse. -
Are you just following instructions on bottle and adding to the tank of gas??? What ratio is everyone using??

MPH loss on slight grade
royalstar09 replied to royalstar09's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Ill go check that now...........the cold start up that is. It has no problem getting to 80 really quick, but have not bee any faster then that, really dont want to to be honest. OK just went at fired it up cold. The LEFT REAR cylinder is warming, but not like the other three. I could not touch the other three, but could hold my hand on the left rear no problem. Could not hardly touch the other three. It has a da da da da idle and tach runs all over at idle. Once off idle it seems to smooth out really nice. -

5th at 65 on the speedometer 2 up. ALSO I filled up yesterday at a know good station I always use and grabbed 89 octane. I normally always use high grade in bikes, but out of habbit from the winter I just grabbed regular unleaded. -
What it the typical way everyone is using it? Are you just using it as a fuel additive and if so at what ratio??? I am not a stranger to using sea foam but just wanting to see how everyone else uses it.

I'm under warranty so no worries. Anyhow when I am going up a slight grade with the cruise on it seems to drop excessively, like say 6-8 mph. Of course when it does this the cruise kicks out and my RES light illuminates. Now then it also has a slight "slobber" at idle and smells a little rich. Its a 09 with 3,200 miles. Thinking hit a tank with sea foam first before trip to dealer??? It has the power no problem, but I seem to have to "twist" it up pretty hard on a grade. Also OD or fifth gear seems a little too high at 65 mph. Almost feels like OD would be on the flat or speeds over 75. Is this some of my bogging down problem

Not exactly. Instead of transferring the owners info from their license, or insurance on a MVA we are wanting to find some way of just scanning them. It would also be really handy since when the State Trooper shows up I can hand him the information. Right now I work really close with all the troopers and we send each other information back and forth via email. This would allow us to both have the same information while on scene.

I'm with you. I had a few errands to run today. Jumped in the Hemi Durango, then jumped back out. I went and filled, (fuel light had just come on), the venture for less then $20.00 and used it to run my errands. Was a nice day to ride and saved money of gas. We are currently at $3.60 here for regular unleaded.

For those who are O2 dependent that is an incredible machine. There is absolutely no shame in becoming dependent on meds, such as oxygen, but it sure does become a hassle. My hats off to the inventor.

There is absolutly no doubt it did not take R134A from the factory. He stated he put freon in it before. I do not know of too many places to run out and buy R22. It is possible to come acrossed some horded R12, but highly unlikely. The concern at this point is what was added before.

I have an old LG Banter. No matter how many times I drop the phone, it dont "drop" a call. Very reliable. I dont use all the fuzzy things it has which is not much, so one of them really fancy phones would really be overkill for me

I like to think i am slightly intelligent, and dfinetly "thought" it broke loose. I choose to not have that happen ever again

I know who knows....we were not riding it BUT today while out for a ride I really "lit" into the bike from a rolling start at a yield intersection. It really felt like the back end broke loose. This is a really heavy bike and it caught me off guard. Nice clean dry pavement. Will these bikes break the rear wheel from a rolling start??? Or was I imagining it

LOL not in a physical scense...............you know.............aaahhhh forget it I am betting you put the R-134A in it. It is available at walmart, any parts store, very easily accessible to the general public.

looks like it is supper time. There is a squirrel in the background playing.

This should be easy, BUT........................ I am looking for a 12 volt (if possible) mobile printer flat bed scanner for use in a vehicle. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I dont want to use a inverter if possible. Just cannot seem to locate a 12 volt printer.

Looks like the average craigslist scam to me. I dont use craigslist for these reasons. You reply to that email and the spam flys.

Anything I say would be a guess. Check the tag on the outdoor unit, also look on the furnace itself, you should find freoninformation in one of the two areas. Your a big boy so you know the wrights, or wrongs of this topic so Ill let that be. If you added to it prior to this time, then I am guessing it IS NOT R22. You may have been able to come acrossed some R-12 or R-134a but I doubt you found a small amount of R-22 to add to it like you say you have done in the past.

Thanks for the information. Since it is a paid subscription site I was unsure of the legalities of it. Was not wanting to do anything illegal, just shopping for good prices on map updates. Ill stick with Garmins site..

has anyone ever used this site? It shows that my Garmin 765T 2011 map update is available from here.
