Heck, they wanted something like 300+ dollars to buy something like that up at Street Vibrations in Reno.
  2. 3 x $12.00 = $36.00...........3 x $1.80 = $5.40............3 x .50 cents = $1.50..........so $36.00, $5.40, and $1.50 totals ($42.90). It'll be sent PayPal today for 3 bells, and thanks again Don.
  3. I wanted to order 3 bells which on your first post you say is $38.80 for 3. At $12.00 a bell, plus $1.80 shipping per bell, plus $.40 more shipping per bell if ordering more than 1 bell comes to $42.60. Sorry to be a stick in the mud, but just wanted to get it right. Thanks for going above and beyond for handling this, we're all grateful.
  4. but I'll take 3 Don, thanks. somebody forgot to give this guy a bell, :whistling:that's why he keeps hitting those speed bumps. :rotf:
  5. A bigger Ditto!!!:mustache:as far as polish and ride.
  6. Sounds like you have a true biker on your hands Brent. But it'll be quite a while before he's big enough to ride along. My grandson couldn't wait, but had to until he was big enough.
  7. but with the 83 Venture I bought brand new and kept for almost 17 years was getting to the point where I got tired of trying to find parts for it, got tired of not enought room when I went on a long trip, and knees bending more than 90% finally gave in to the foot pegs. Outside of those problems, I think it was the best touring bike ever made. But then they put the vette to rest and came out with a cadillac. So it's 120 lbs. heavier, (it's bigger), and it gives us big guys something to stretch out on. I think Jack's just mad, because I told him about a 99 2nd gen with only 24k on it, mint condition, and Brent from Brentwood stoled it at a cost of only $5,699.00.:whistling:Hey Jack, there's got to be some other good deals out there, and I think you'd fit great on a bike that's made for us big guys. So even if your going to go over to the dark side 2nd gen, it's better than going over to the darker side.............I think everbody catches on to that statement, no offense intended. :mustache:See everybody, doesn't Jack look great on that 07 RSV?
  8. And the memories with me were with my 62 SS Impala 4-speed with 327 ci, posi and 300 horses, man those were the years.
  9. Gone that route many times. That's the way we go when we're going to Street Vibrations in Reno which takes us right past Tom & M's place in Carson City. But use to stay in Bishop all the time when I rode with all the locals around here before VentureRiders started up. Haven't done Scotty's Castle for a number of years, and the last time I did it was out of Las Vegas; turned into a pretty long ride from there. I would have liked to have continued on but got a surprise (Pilonidal Cyst) on the end of my tailbone, so it's rest up for a couple of days hoping it will sub-side. You guys have a great rest of the ride and drive safe.
  10. Comfort wise because of the seat, I think my 83 Venture I bought new and had for almost 17 years was the most comfortable to ride. I did 633 miles to Erueka and back in 15 hrs. just taking my time. And as for the 2nd gen., it was 765 miles one way from Salt Lake City to Livermore, Calif. in 14 hrs.
  11. I don't believe it, Vic didn't get kicked out this time! Just kiddin Vic, you even left a little on your plate. Hey Fred, if Jercoupe and Bev can come all the way up from Los Osos, it's only 300 more miles from Pahrump, come on. :confused24:Great food, great friends, what could anybody else ask for. Great seeing everybody again, and for me, the newby's I haven't met, great meeting you all. Now for the hard part, where to meet next time. Jercoupe and Bev came the furthest, let's all return the favor and do Morrow Bay. Of course the hardest part will be doing it between storms. But just wanted to throw out the 1st suggestion. In the mean time, Vic put some good pics in here, so I'll throw in a couple of more, and don't want to leave out, Ludy's was great! P.S. Put the picture in I took of Fred's garage in Pahrump, Nevada, and that's the clean part. :rotf: Hey Jack, do you see your bike in the reflection of the glass next to that good lookin 2nd gen. :-)
  12. where's the Beef, I'm hungry :rotf:. You might lose the good weather though, because I have to wash my bike after 1300 miles. I just heard from Brent, and the police have a special assignment for him, (hush-hush), so he won't be able to make it now. I so wanted to see my twin again having the same bike I do. So maybe this'll be a three way eating contest, just don't get kicked out of here Vic the way you did at the Somoa Cook House in Eureka, lol.
  13. I mean it's Sunday, we might be able to wait a few extra minutes.
  14. Thanks for the input Jack, haven't gotten mind yet, but it's the best air-horn going I think.
  15. I think you have my cell number, if not......it's 925-989-4208 just in case you don't, take care.
  16. The more the merrier, let's see if we can make it an even dozen:mustache:. Looks like we'll have several meeting at Denny's in Cordelia, ride safe, and we'll see you there.
  17. I should have asked you what time would be good, but since they were talking about meeting in Woodland by noon, I was just trying to get everybody together to ride up together. If that's too early, we can still wait for you at Denny's, (unless Vic is right, and we'll have to take off and get to Ludy's before Jack eats all the ribs, lol) and then all travel together from there to Ludy's from; let me know if you can, take care.
  18. but I still play around with my old Carb Sticks.........works great, just a little more clumsy to hook up. Got one ear not so good, but probably would be able to use the good one like you said.
  19. Where you been hiding. Done any of your 5 or 6,000 mile trips lately. Yup, this is the main problem for a meet and eat on the west coast, we're all spread so far apart. I didn't go to 4-Corners this year, been going every two years; went in 05, but too much going on this year to go. Not too bad a ride for you. I've always stayed in Farmington 48 miles from Durango as motels are always sold out there, and they charge too much anyway. If nothing unforseen happens, I plan to be down in Vegas on the 15th for a couple of days, (anybody else want to lose some money, lol) and I'll try to stop by Pahrump and maybe see Scott and Klaus in Vegas at the same time.
  20. With the transport outfit I work for, Ludy's is right across the street from where we picked up 200 PG&E vehicles from Elm Ford for delivery all over the state. But yah Brent, if the boss let's you go, I can meet you at Walgreens say 10:00 - 10:15, and we can meet Vic & Barb along with George from S.F., hook up with them at Denny's in Cordelia say around 11:00 a.m. And hello Jack from Los Osos, been a long time since lunch in Hollister; and this is just a suggestion. If your coming up Hwy 101 to 880, I guess you'd be taking I-680 from there which will take you straight to Cordelia, but if you want to make a 10 mile detour, you could hook up with me at McDonald's at Vasco Rd. in Livermore say 9:30 ish, and you and Bev could do a little sight seeing following me on the way to meet up with Brent in Brentwood. As is, this ones long enough for you guys to make it an overnight, so again, this is just a suggestion. If you just want to continue on to Cordelia on 880 or 680, we can meet you at Denny's there at I-680 and I-80 at 11:00 a.m., hope you can make it.

    No No No

Just put a set of knobi tires on PITBULL, or maybe a set of tires like they use for racing on ice, you'll get the hang of it. But I think you better invest in an electric vest, gloves and pants first, lol :rotf:. Clear as a bell hear, and maybe into the 70's.
  22. Not only don't you have the , you just don't like buying anything new, you like buying dust collectors. Too bad there wasn't about 20,000 members Jack, then we could all chip in a dollar to buy you a "NEW" 2nd gen, :rotf:, or we could chip in two dollars a piece and buy you a Boss Hoss . The Boss Hoss is a 1st gen, and you'd have something faster than a Yamy 1st gen.
  23. it's geared for 116 mph in 4th
  24. It's exactly the same as the 99,00,01,02,03,04,05 and 06, which makes it just as top heavy ........ got any other hard questions?:buttkick:just my worth. :rotf:
