Yeah, wish I could have made Skid In,and Asheville, but just didnt work out, not enough vacation time yet........but I or we will be making more next year, and thats what it is all about, being able to go to more rallies besides mine............ I am sure someone will step up and fill that date on the years that I dont have Vogel.

After much discussion with Charlene, we have decided that future Tail of the Dragon@Vogel will only be taking place every other year, so the next Dragon@Vogel will be the 3rd weekend in August, so the next date it will be held is Aug.17-21, 2011. This will allow us, with Charlene's health permitting, to attend some other events, since putting Vogel together takes so much of our time and almost 1/2 of my vacation. We love doing it, and seeing and meeting old and new friends at Vogel is dear to us, but limits us as to how much we can do of other things. So if you were planning on coming to the next one instead of this one you will have to wait 2 more years for this to happen, so if you cant wait that long now is the time to make it happen.

I wouldnt have admitted on camera that I was a cop, I would have taken my lumps and gotten on with it, it could cost them their jobs, especially the one on injured leave. In the first place I would never have been going that fast, when I was younger I had a Kaw Z1 and I had it up to 117 mph, and that was way too fast for me, but that was on a closed section of Interstate under construction, and if something would have gone wrong the only one hurting from it would have been me, these clowns were doing it on a busy interstate.......DUH! They should have been sited for careless and reckless driving along with speeding. So much for my

What about an aftermarket filter for the 1300, shop does my all changes till Sept. 2010 when contract runs out, then I will be doing my own...............

Very innovative, GMax also makes a helmet with built in LED's that can be set to 3 different modes, always on, slow flash, and fast flash, they dont come on with your brake light but are always on, which I think might be better and the helmet can be found for around $99.00-109.00.

I have a 1999 Ford E-350 Club Wagon, with 527,xxx miles(that's over 1/2 Million), original engine, rebuilt tranny at 512,xxx miles............and this aint no typo.........

Every time we see pics of a bike at Squids place, its all in pieces, cant he find a bike thats whole..........would be a lot easier if he bought one whole.....................I bet as a kid every toy he got he had to take it apart to see what made it tick...................:rotfl:

It looks like door prizes for Vogel may not be as plentiful this year as they were at the last event in 2007. I have sent out letters of request to all the same vendors as last time and a few new ones but response has been slow to put it mildly......Some members here have donated some items and that is much appreciated. I finally got one item in today and its probably going to be the best door prize to give away. It is from Sean Morgan at Morgan Carbtune..........he was gracious enuff to donate a Carbtune Pro to our cause. So thanks to Sean and Morgan Carbtune for their generous contribution.........Some lucky person will go home with a nice reminder from Vogel. If anyone can bring some t-shirts from their local dealers those would make great door prizes or t shirt swap like Muffinman did at the last event. Just drop me a line if you have something or know of someone who might be willing do donate to a very good cause, remember, after expenses, all profits go to St. Jude Children's Hospital. As we get older we arent as flexible as we used to be, so take care in bending, twisting, and any other silly moves you might attempt to do.............at home, be especially careful, we get a little carried away when doing some things we shouldn't be attempting at our age...............dont ask me how I know, but I do...............:stirthepot:

I had one fly into my helmet on the last N. Ga. M&E, he got me before I could pull off the road, now I know where that old saying comes from, "He's got a bee in his bonnett":bang head: It really looks funny to everyone else, but it aint so funny to those of us it happen too!! Sleeperhawk and Mechanic were behind me when it happened, it happened so fast I dont think Bobbie got any pics................
