I just want to take a HOG minute to cheer my Razorbacks on as they do the beatdown on the Buckeyes. Sorry Buckeyes, but this is still not your year to beat an SEC team. Go HOGS!!! I am about to start off on a new adventure. The story starts with a very close friend of mine from my pipeband being diagnosed with cancer. This happened as we lost another member to same type of cancer. Paul is his name and he has had his thyroid and other items removed. Now they cant find any remaining cancer but doctors as they are wanted to bombard him with chemo and radiation. The toll it was taking on him was astronomical so he said enough is enough. Mind you they cand find any remaining cancer and they are doing this to him. Paul sought alternative treatment in a place in Arizona and will be there for for 6 weeks. Just before he left we were at his house around the campfire. In the last year he lost his business, he is getting divorced, and got cancer but he knows he has the band, his bike and his friends, Us. Just in a passing thought we suggested that we should fly out so see him while he is away. They say everyone needs something to look forward to and this became his motivation!!! Wild Hogs!!! With this we will be flying out to see my buddy. Four of us middle aged guys on the adventure of our life. Taking the weekend and riding to the Canyon. Bagpipes and drums in the saddle bags to play at the canyon. Some stories we will be able to tell and others will be under the "Vegas" rule. Since we started planning this the life that has come back to Paul is incredible!!! Stories for a lifetime! "Piper Hogs go Wild"!!!!!

Thought I would post this up again - as maybe some haven't seen this post yet. last week they were going to send her home and wait for the time to call in hospice. monday: can't go home because you have a urinary infection! today: contradicting, biopsy reports! going to confer with M.D.ANDERSON, and start chemotherapy, TOMORROW! folks, i don't know whether i'm "sloppin' hogs", or "picking peaches! i know , that you have to play the hand that's dealt to ya, no miss-deals here. question i have, is "why are there 6 jokers in the deck" just jt

I got up this morning thinking about just maybe. Nice sunny afternoon 70 degree's but. The creek is up and muddy. Sitting here listening to hogs vibrating the windows as they go bye. So how was your ride?

Carl, Thought of you and how much better job you would be doing yesterday and again today. We are butchering 3 hogs and cutting up 1/2 beef! We do everything on the hogs and just cut up the beef. My cousin's raise hogs and this is an annual occurence. We get the beef from my cousin's friend and the meat locker shoots, skins and lets it hang for a few weeks. So 1/4 Beef and 1/2 Hog costs me about $300. Whole lot better than store prices. We have meat saw, grinder for sausage, hamburger, and cure the Hams, bacon. Its seems a lot of work, but cost wise worth it. Do have a question for you. Do you have a supplier for those butcher gloves that help protect you from cuts? I had a friend that was head meat cutter for a supermarket that would get me some, but he was laid off when the store closed. Thanks, Have a good day. Jay
