Earl, sounds like you guys had a great time, you were very lucky to get to know Jonas a little better than the rest of us.........I enjoyed meeting you, and sharing the Todd Mahal,(Big Tent) as Todd so aptly named it. Sure wish I could have ridden that way with you guys, but time was not on my side. Looking forward to next year, hopefully the wife will make that one.......Jonas is one of a kind, wish I could get to Iceland to ride some of his roads...........thats a dream:crying:that wont come true. I did manage to get one pic of you "tearing the top of off someones bike", and me with VR special guest.

Glad to hear things are getting better for you, it was quite upsetting to hear what was going on with you after we got the call..........but the good news is good to hear. Just think, you get to sit back and get waited on hand and foot while you watch them TIGERS go for another championship...............Geaux Tigers...... You hang in there and let Beth spoil you rotten...........Really hope you can make it to Vogel.........let me know if there is anything I can do. I know one thing, I havent had a hangover in over 20 years, and at MD, I had 2, one from helping 86er with his bottle and one the following morning after way too much Black Death.:starz: now I know why they call it that:doh:..............

I guess you dont know it, but I am from the New Orleans area and I also attended LSU in Baton Rouge, La.............It would not have been as special had it been a stinking UGA hat.....:stirthepot:

When I set out for MD at Don's, my only quest was to find the Gift. I started asking as soon as I got there, but nobody seemed to know who had it or where it was, I was later to find out why I couldnt locate it on my first day there, the person who shall go un-named, forgot it and had to have it overnighted to Don's so I could receive it........... I just want to thank Squidley and everyone who participated in the Gift project, because unbeknownst to me it was more that just a Gift and a tease to keep me searching for it, and those that participated know what it was. For those of you who dont, I will give a brief explanation and then some pictures of the Gift. Since I didnt show up at the Tattooing of Sleeperhawk's Mechanic and Squidley, they decided to pass the hat around, literally to travel to different rallies and M&E till I caught up with it, when it was passed it was for donations to St.Jude Children's Hospital and those that made a donation got to sign the hat. I was in the dark about this. I dont know how many signatures are on the hat, but there are plenty..........and Squidley kept me squirming till the very end. I just want to thank each and every person who donated and signed my gift, I will treasure it for the rest of my life and it will have a special place in my heart and home...........THANK YOU VENTURERIDERS.

Well as you all know, Eck has had his share of bad luck, gremlins, demons and crazy drivers.........so Todd and I thought he might be able to use a little extra help with getting rid of that bad Karma.........

The day started out well enough, 86er, Ediddy and myself decided to take the back roads home from MD at Dons. We were doing fine till we reached Ashland, Ky around 5:30 in the afternoon Sunday. While passing through town Eddie picked up a small bolt in his tire, so we pulled into a church parking lot to check it out. Sure enough there is the head of a bolt sticking out of the tire, so off to the auto parts store for some plugs. So after Todd returned with the kit we proceeded to pull the bolt out of the tire and you wont believe the size of this thing.(see pic). We get it plugged up and start to pump it up with Todds little air pump and it up and quits..........guess what, off to the parts store again for a new pump. A short time later we are pumping the tire up with the new pump, so Todd and I try to see whats wrong with his pump, so we plug it into my power port in my saddle bag, nothing, so I plug my Sirrius radio back into it and poof. the wires start smoldering and melting and by the time I get my seat off we have a small fire going on under it.............put it out and remove the tool tray, hole burned in it, and so does the battery, about the size of a dime, we cover that with some clay like sticky substance to prevent he acid from leaking out and causing ore damage.. Cause of fire, something shorted in the plug and the fuse didnt blow, we found it melted into the plug housing still intact. All is well, no damage to the bike, now I have to find a replacement plug for my radio....... While we were there the church members were returning for Sunday evening service, many stopped and asked if we needed help and on older gentleman who pulled in on a V Star 1100, asked if he could assist and that if we became stranded he would gladly put us up overnight till we could get the tire fixed..........great little town that Ashland. All in all not a bad trip even with this, it just kept the trip from being borin Check out the pics, notice how much stuff Todd had to remove from his bags before he found what we needed..............

This was an awesome event, Don, Eileen, thank you soooo much for hosting this fantastic event again, If I would have know how much fun you guys had, I would have never missed any ot them. Don thanks for letting us use that palace you called a tent, it was just perfect for the 4 of us. Next year if nobody wants it I will glady share it again. I didnt know that everyone got to throw a bucket of water on the boss, I must have missed the raffle ticket for that one, I would have bought bunches of them............you do know that they sold tickets for that dont you............But I wont miss them next time...........Also I am glad to see that since the tent was right next to the pond, that the pond monster didnt show up. Again it was great meeting all the new folks that I hadnt met alreadn and especially your lovely wife, finally, and she is an angel to let you host this magnificent event.........Your the best Don. :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Sure hope that mystery gift from Squidley will be there, I have been waiting patiently to receive it, I think. Does anybody know who has it and if they are coming.

Its not to late to join me, 86er, RandyR, and Ediddy for the ride up to MD. I am leaving Newnan, Ga around 2:30 pm on Thursday, 6/4/09 to meet up with the others, so if your interested get in touch with one of us either by posting here or pm. Looking forward to this one, since I have missed the others........gonna be a grand time.............
