Thanks. Just wondering. I learned about the VR site via word of mouth locally and got involved a while after purchasing my bike. The advice and help are priceless. Best $12 I have ever spent. The friendships are PRICELESS!!!!!

Hello: Rode with a small group of VR members to Cody last summer. One of the members encountered a rear flat in Casper Wyo. We reinflated the tire enough to make it to a safe off the road site. Others rode to get a slime brand plug kit (Look closely, kit did not have cement in it). Installed plug and rode the last 200 miles to Cody. Member had tire replaced the next morning. I now carry a Slime compressor and plug kit (With Cement) with me at all times. AAA insurance if all else fails.

Welcome to the site. I also own an 05 RSTD. You came to the right place for advice and assistance. Not a nicer bunch of owners. I agree, no windshield should hinder you that much. Keep us posted. Just wondering how you discovered the VR site?

Hello: My oldest Sister left her winter home in Ft. Mojave AZ last weekend (April 21st-22nd.) to travel home to see our dying mother before she passed. My Sis mentioned there must have been a large MC gathering in her area as they saw Hundreds of MC on their roadways as they were leaving home. Anyone have an idea what the gathering might have been?Annual event??

Thanks to Patrolman46 for making this event known to the rest of us. RogerII and his wonderful wife road two hours out of their way so they could ride along with us. The Nebraska PGR group escorted 10 WWII vets. Awesome site. Great attendance!!!!!

Hello: I would suggest having Rick Butler rework your seat(s). I would try that first, relatively inexpensive. It worked for my wife and I. If the modification does not work to your satisfaction, you can always sell the seats to someone else. If you do not want to lose any riding time, I have a complete set of stock RSTD seats that I might be willing to sell or loan to another member to use while their seats are being reworked. -
