dan are you looking to buy a harley battery for a first gen. or one for a real harley? i have the sheet infront of me for a harley battery i bought 2 years ago and still working great. battery kit #65989-908B fits the 1991 dyna glide and soft tail. this is in my 1984 venture right now. so its for a first gen 1983-1984. after that for some reason from 1984 till 1993 it changes must be bigger in the mkII? then you would need the battery kit #65989-97A 1997 and latter dyna glide softail and 1997-2003 XLH 2007 -2008 dyna and soft tail take the kit #65989-97B cost for me on this battery 2 years ago was $95 right out of the harley shop here in town. if you need any more info i have the complete list of harley batteries. THEY COME WITH EXTRA POST TABS TO INSTALL NORMAL OR MAKE A TOP POST. INCLUDES NEW BOLTS. you can even install them sideways or upside down tnot that i would reccomend upside down.

not sure what he would want to pay for a complete bike? i was thinking of letting mine go. and getting a smaller bike. like a 750. but i have no way of getting the bike to him. i will also look in my spare parts. i might have a set of side panels. one has a small crack and was sanded down . they will need repainting. and i would like to keep the chrome off of them if i dont sell the complete bike.

this would be nice as some down here in peru IL tend to take about 4 minutes or untill another car comes up and sets it off.

nothing realy fancy on it. did have a place for a gps. and a cup holder. he said it has a mustang seat? i think he meant corbin? nice studs on the seats. cool looking grips? pointy on the ends? silverish gray colour. i did notice the windshield. seemed kind of lose at above 50mph? he said he had it cut down ? how much im not sure? back tire looks like it should be replaced. front tire still had them nubs on the side. the lower on the side that it fell on is cracked some. so i tink it hit the ground and not some tools on the wall of the garage. all in all not to bad of a bike. said he had a top offer so far of $3300. im thinking he was going to see if i was going to top that. i should not have realy wasted this mans time. as i can not afford it. i just stopped to see what it was and he made the offer to let me try it. i did offer him a $5 bill for the test ride. but he said no. if its still out side tomorrow maybe i can stop by and tell him to email me some pics and i could show them here?

i saw a 1999 rsv for sale here in peru IL for $4800 has 65.000 miles on the clock. a few scratches on the left side? owner said it fell in the garage. and hit some tools hanging on the wall. i just want to say this is my first time on a second generation. and i was rusty on the slow turns. yep i duck walked it in a u turn. i must say for a nice day 52 out i enjoyed the 2 mile ride. allfull trustworthy guy. i did leave my car keys and my car at his place. this bike did make some kind of a chirp noise in 4th at 60 mph? maybe i was lugging it? not sure. i dont have $4800 but if i did im just not sure if the bike is worth that price? but i did enjoy my little first ride of 2012.

steve and his daughter are realy working on this. steve said he talks to her every night when she gets off of work she calls him and talks for an hour. he has his teeth now. and his back pay for SSDI came in today. he is going to send it to her. so she can find him a place to live.. his goal is to head back on febuary 5th 2012. he is looking good. put on some weight. has a smile on his face. and a swagger to his walk. i can say i think this man is on a long and happy journey in his life. im not much of a motorcycle mechanic. but i was able to work on his 1982 ford f150 truck. so it will be ready to take him on his way. we bleed the brakes. and installed some brake pads. last week when it was still warm out. all is good put the truck pulls a little to the left? might be a bad rotor. but we had to go with what we had? once he gets back to ohio. it will be sold. it has 239000 miles on it. runs ok. but needs a little TLC. has a camper on it and its full clear to the top with who knows what:rotf: but i got a friend or 2 out of this. and that makes my day.

there are talking. he was verry happy to see her. right now he is not ready to go back ? he has a few things he wants and needs to take care of here first? she did put him up in a motel here that rents by the month. he said he will head back sometime in febuary 2012. he just needs time to let this all sink in. he said he loved what i did for him. i gave him a part of his life back. and hes gratefull. he needs to get his teeth from the veterans center. they pulled all of them because he is homeless and right now hes waiting for the dentures. then his SSDI came through and n he will have some back pay. and a monthly check:cool10:. then he will seek low income housing . and be near his daughter. sad to say his ex wife passed away. so there is some sorrow and some happiness to all of this. and im glad i was a part in all of it. now i need to follow some advice from a great person on this site. that said i have a verry big heart but need to take care of my self . so im going to follow that advice.. and you know who you are ? im not ready for shades but maybe just maybe my future is going to be brighter this year?
