got home on saturday after almost a month in a care center for my left total knee replacement. things are going good so far. im able to walk with out a walker now and i can walk about a block with the help of the cane. very little pain. untill night time comes? i have pills for that.im able to fully extend the knee. but not able to do so bending it. im at 95% on that and they want more? kind of sore doing that work out the quads are tight. and i still have great pain in the area the drain tube was? i lost 12 pounds and working on a diet. i went from 274 to 262 still more to go. i have pt starting again monday. one hour per day five days a week. and a half hour swimming on saturday afternoon. did any one else have a clicking feeling after a total knee operation? feels funny and sometimes i can hear it? all in all im very happy with the operation. i dont lean to my right any more. standing taller now. and able to put equal weight on both legs and knees feels great. now i need to see if my dues are due? so if the boss sees this let me know ok?

well after all that.s been going on in my life this year with 3 deaths. and such and not able to ride and selling the old 1984 .im going in tomorrow to get this left knee replacement done. i know there is a lot of work to do to get the new knee up to snuff. lots of PT and i will end up in a place for 2 weeks after the operation. to help push me along. then im going to push the PT as much as i can stand. i have put away 3 grand for the purchase of a bike for next summer.im not going to go with a first gen as i just cant handle that big boy no more. thinking a vstar? not sure what size? and if i can snag one for that price? i did see a nice one for $2800 and i should have snapped on that one.1100cc and had 24000 miles but my daughter said to wait as she knew i would have taken that bike out before this operation. and either mess up my old knee or the new to me bike/ dang kids where they learn to be so smart? anyways asking for a little prayer that all goes well. and with luck and hard work i might be on the road again next summer. bike wise. sincerly oldgoat

things just have not been well for the last month. back in july i got a call on july fourth to please rush to ST Paul mn. my best friend of 32 years had a bad stroke and was not going to make it. i got the call from his daughter. 9 months before he burried his oldest daughter who had a bad seizure hit her head and died. and i was there for that funeral. i now am the last man standing of a group of 7 guys who where my child hood and early adult life friends. there is a big empty in my heart. i allmost gave in and was about to do something bad. but affter some time with his family and my daughter i pulled some what out of it. there must have been an intervention? as i was to go in on july 9th for a total knee operation but it was postponed. so i was there to hold this mans hand and say good bye. he never opend his eyes but placed his hand on top of mine. 3 hours after i got there he was gone he died on the 5th of july. now im going in on the 22nd of this month for the knee operation. i found a 1999 yamaha vstar 1100cc for $2500.00 i have that money but just cant ride the bike though i might still buy it and find a place to store it? kind of a goal for me to get well and ride again. the bike is red has 24000 miles needs a little maintenance. like a new battery flush the fluids you know the usual stuff. im talking to my daughter and older sister about doing this as there concerned about my healing first. i said to totaly heal i need to enjoy life again. and right now im just in a funk.if i can work it out i just might buy the bike. just need to store it. not sure if it can fit in a 5x10 room LOL thats the smalles storage unit i can afford LOL any ways thanks everyone

well i was all set for the 9th of july. when i went in to day for a pre op. check up with my docotor. he was not in? his niece is verry ill and might not make it. so i was handed off to a young doctor who looked at my records and saw i was haveing. black out problems due to blood pressure problems back in november of last year. so he call my ortho doc who said he will have to call it off untill my doctor comes back and my dilatin levels get stabble. kind of a set back for me as i can not take pain meds or anti infalmitory meds. so her i sit in pain. untill maybe the end of july. the good news is i settled my workers comp and the check is in the mail. had a bike lined up to buy but let it slip by due to the fact i was gong to have this operation. well next spring i will be looking. it sucks as the one i was looking at was a vstar 1100 for $3300.00 with 19500 miles on it and was owned by a 70 year old man who cant ride it no more and went on to a goldwing trike..im sure one will come along. im realy bummed about this knee. but it will get done before the snow hits the ground that was my main concern. as i dont want to slip and fall with a new knee. and felt i would heal up before the winter hit..

we had some storms over the past few days. some heavy wind and rain. there was no trees down where i live. but lots of rain. well today i went out and washed my black pontiac grandprix and waxed it till it looked great. i then cme home and parked it.of course under a over hanging tree. i was going to go out and get some fast food when i saw somethig on the car. yep it was 2 tree branches about 4 feet in leant on the roof and the hood of the car. also the rear quater panel on drivers side was scratched. i called nation wide and i be damn there was a ajuster in the area and he would stop by. seems like im not the only one. he looked over my car and said hey the rear quarter panel has som rust bubbles by the fuel door. and there are some on the roof? and said the insurance company wont cover them? hey there are deep scratches and i left the branches on the car. he said sorry but he,s sure all they will cover is the hood. im so pissed i been with this company for almost 10 years never filed a claim on any of my cars in 25 years. and i got a $500 deductable. damn what luck huh? think i will shop around for another company. this company said they drop a $100 for every year you dont file a claim i say bull poop.. i can get the whole car repainted for $1500. not sure id a 2005 pontiac with 65000 miles on it is worth the paint job but she runs like a top. ok im done with my rant now

im with wildcat on this one first heal up. it,s a shame that the bike is gone. but that,s a lot better then you . the time will come after you heal. to ride again. as for value of your bike? i looked on line and in craigs list nothing comes close to your,s with that low of miles. IL area i saw a 91 with 25,000 going for $3800.00 but needs a little? sat for 3 years and idles rough? and yours was dam near perfect.
