Check walmart, radioshack or any ipod savvy place. They have 12" connectors just for this purpose. Ex Something like this

My lights have a small toggle switch on the side of one of the housings. I have turned them off by mistake many times when washing the bike. Do you have one perhaps? Ex

I have a set of oval LA Choppers slip ons. Here is a link to them. They are loud. They are in good condition, with one small scrape on bottom, of one. One tip has faded the color some. I can post pics later if you are interested. Make me an offer. http://www.lachoppers.com/catalog/display/1318/index.html Ex

You must have overlayed your signature when you pasted the HTML. You can also get rid of that line that states to click on it. Just go to your signature edit and highlight just that line, and delete it. Ex

Well, I finally got this to work for me. It seems not all the stickers are compatible or lack the right HTML to make it a banner in our sig line. I'm not an expert, so take that with a grain of salt. I could not get the banner to work from the HTML code that it generates when you click on the "Make this location a weather sticker", but right under that code is a banner with the words "Get more styles and options for your weather sticker here". Click on it. It brings up a page to build your sticker. I found that the tab "New Stickers" generated code that would not work in my signature line. But click on the tab that says "Classic Stickers". There I clicked on various stickers and they worked once I copied the HTML code, and pasting it into my signature file. In doing a preview signature, you will see errors from the forum software stating you have too many lines, but I saved my signature and all worked fine. Hope this helps Ex

Here is a little trick I learnt way back when I was a tank guy, before we got throat mics. Find you some 3/4" or 1" heatshrink tubing, cut it 1" in length, put it over the mic and apply easy heat. It will tighten down real tight. Trim the edges as needed. It will cut out the wind noise, but your voice will still carry perfectly into the mic. Ex

No, the mic-mutes turn your open mic off, and you have no road noise. To talk on the intercom you just briefly tap your PTT button, it opens both mics, you talk and when you hit the PTT button again, it mutes the mics. Ex

Bobby G is correct, it does match the Corbin seat. Here are two pics showing the difference and the corbin seat. And one of the Corbin and the stock backrest.
-
3 phillips head screws and one nut to remove the original, and 4 screws to install the new. It's actually a Corbin backrest, made for yamaha. Look around, I just this past week picked one up on ebay for $100. New they are anywhere from $199 to $255. You can get it studded or non studded to match. I had the complete Corbin seat with drivers backrest as well, and now added this for my tailgunner. The height is good, and like Freebird said, she likes the idea of somewhere to put her elbows. Ex

That code is no longer valid. I wonder if they would give us a new one. Ex

I too took advantage of this sale and as the previous poster noted, the vent's $59 is added on after the 50% is taken off of the ORIGINAL price, not the already discounted price. The shield I got was marked down 30% due to the flaw I have yet to find. So instead of 30%, it was changed to 50%. I originally thought the 50% would be off the price as listed on the site, but that is not the case. Still a real nice deal, for a good shield. Ex

Thanks for posting this! To the original poster and to you! New flag holder on the way. Ex

Thanks for the heads-up Condor. It does apply to all AGM batteries. Ex

And this from another thread: It also applies to the ETX20L. Makes it $60 with pickup at store or free delivery. REMEMBER this Magnapower is a Deka battery. Just pull the magnapower sticker off and see. Advanced Auto Parts has MagnaPower 12-Volt Sealed AGM Premium Batteries for $84.99 for 1st Gen add something for $1.00 to make it $85.99 coupon code RAF7JA1102 takes $35.00 off = $50.99 + tax. Part No. ETX18L Voltage:12, Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) @ 0°F:340, Amp Hours:20 Ex

Looks like you camp when you travel, so with that in mind, have you ever considered a trailer, or even a camper/trailer? Just looking at the way your bike is loaded, and this is a guess, I would think you are over the weight carrying capacity of the bike. I do not camp when on the motorcycle, and with everything for a week of riding, with my stuff being minimal and my tailgunner having most of the packing space, we are over the weight carrying numbers for the RSV already. I am going to a trailer, to get the weight off the bike, and give us some extra room. I know with towing comes all the pros/cons of towing, so is it a good choice, well not sure, but I like the idea of less weight on bike. Good luck Brian

Boy was the weather great for a nice weekend of riding. 70's with low 50's in the morning. Not a drop of rain. Lots of bikes. I saw more Ventures than ever before there. One group had three going down the road. Spoke to a few to come join us here. I have damage to the bike on both sides. Saddle bags, rails, crash bars, exhaust. Dude on a new Streetglide CVO was stopped behind me, waiting for cars so we could turn. Apparently he heard my engine rev up as if I was going, and so without looking he took off, mounting the left side and pushing us down to the ground. All cosmetic take off, put on parts. Will see what dealership says on Tuesday. My lady and I are both sore today, but hey, it's all good. Ex
