    2014 Ultra Limited
  1. Yeah I rode one at the Harley days at the plant here in Kansas City. If they had a regular Ultra I would for sure have looked at it. I do like my Ultra Limited, but have always liked the Roadglides. At $40K+ it is out of my range for sure.
  2. Once you look into the models, you get to understand what each offers. Street glides do not have the air suspension. They have a coilover shock that can be adjusted. As far as the new Roadglide, I do not see an ULTRA version in the 2015 line up, which is disappointing.
  3. Hey Playboy. Congratulations on a very nice bike. I have been looking at those as well, and was down to the Victory and the new Harley Ultra limited. I finally decided on the Ultra, and very happy with it. Hope to see y'all again on one of the get togethers. Brian
  4. The RPTHX13 is not the 4th of July discount. My neighbor used it that same day I posted that one. There is however a 4th of July discount that just came by email, and that is 75RP20SHIP. That is for 20% off and free shipping. It ends on 7/04. Brian
  5. FYI, I received a 20% off for orders over $75 from Rumbling Pride by email. Offer ends soon. Code: RPTHX13 It states to share it with everyone, so there ya go. Brian
  6. I too fly their flags, and the quality is the best I have found. Made is USA!
  7. I have two cable locks. I use one for the bike and one for the trailer, if/when I unhook it from the bike. When attached to the bike, I have a locking pin for the hitch and the hitch handle so it cannot go anywhere without the bike. When not attached to the bike I lock the trailer to any post or rail, or piilar I can find. Ex
  8. As always, some great input and thanks to the folks with ideas of where to go and roads to take. We plan to watch the fireworks in Bar Harbor and sitting high to view it, sounds just about right. Ex
  9. Thanks much for all the replies. I was leaning towards the trailer as well, but just wanted to know what people feel was the best option. I am very comfortable with the trailer as well as with the bike loaded, but it does get heavier by the end of the trip when loaded up on the bike. I've got it packed with my 'stuff' and lots of room for her. I will carry the raingear and electronics in the saddlebags. Thanks Ex
  10. Leaving Saturday for a 12 day trip from Kansas City, MO to Bar Harbor, Maine, then down along the coast and eventually winding our way back to KC. Here's my question. When we go on our longer trips, we have a few more things than normal, and since we are going up to the NE, and the weather will be cooler and rainy from the looks of it, we will pack some extra things for that too. Now, I can get it all on the bike, including using the luggage rack, with the bag made to attach to it. When I calculate my weight that I will add on the bike, and then add myself and tailgunner, we are running pretty heavy, I think. We have done it for many miles that way but I am setup on the bike and have a nice little trailer that I can pull along... So, if I take all that weight off the bike (luggage, not tailgunner) and put it in the trailer with a tongue weight of about 20 pounds, would that be a better option? I will have less weight on the bike, but more weight behind me, and gas mileage goes down, and so forth.... So what say ye? What would be the preferred way to do this? Thanks Ex
  11. Did a trip from Kansas City, MO side to Niagara Falls, NY. 1042 miles, right at 22 hours. We had a rain delay 1.5 hours, so technically it was 20.5 hours. Stopped every 100-120 miles for gas, potty break, snack/drink and go, Did one stop for lunch/gas of 45 minutes, and since there was three bikes doing this trip, we swapped lead every 70 - 80 miles. This was all Interstate, and doing about 5-10 over speed limit if it allowed. Once it got dark, we kept to speed limit. Ex
  12. Are we talking RS Venture? The pictures I posted are from a Corbin seat off a RSV. I do not have a rear bolt. There are two nuts up front and slides into a place in the back when installing it. You remove the seat by taking the front two nuts off, and picking up on the front of the seat and sliding it forward. I did also confirm that by removing that bolt I show in the pictures, from under the seat, the backrest slides out. You have to remove the seat. Ex
  13. I believe if you remove the screw at the bottom of the shaft, which you have access to when you remove the seat, the square shaft that holds the backrest will slide out. See pics. I am not sure however if that will allow removal. I can check when I get home since my seat is not on the bike. Attached Thumbnails
