I too was gonna say that would be about right if not add a little more weight. You will know it if it is too light. It will be all over the road. This will have a lot to do with how you pack the trailer, so if it wobbles stop and redistribute the weight. Congrats on the purchase. Mr. OWL had pictures on here of it a long time ago back when he built it, but i still do not think anyone ever saw his bike. Brad

Looks like a nice little ride. You could drop down to hwy #3 near London as it would not take much longer and is a little more scenic. Also depending on when you are running through Hamilton to Niagara that section can get very busy at the Rush hours (STOP and GO, bumper to bumper for 3-4 lanes). You may want to drop south at Ancaster Then through the Welland you could always watch the ships in the canal. Brad

Agree here, could be junk in the carbs, besides it won't hurt if it is something else. Brad -
Thanks for the update. We were fortunate to meet your father in Kitchener, and we are wishing him a speedy recovery. Brad and Rhonda

Dave Welcome and hope you find a dealer to get it right and start enjoying your new ride. And you made the right choice on the bike and also a good choice for stopping in here. Does not take long to get hooked on this site. BRad

New tire, caliper now over-heating....
BradT replied to FutureVentures's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
How did you get it together. I too started doing this wrong but could not even bolt up the caliper, nothing lined up. BRad -
We always have nice days in January, two years back I was riding on January 1st at 55 degrees, clean streets. Last year we were under 3 ft of snow. THe falls are very nice in the winter as well with all the ice, the water only stopped flowing once, according to the history books. Brad

It may be fouling a plug while engine is cold because of choke and a weak spark, and after running a while it finally burns and cleans up the plug. A little work but you can check it by starting it and then after a couple of minutes take the plugs out and look at them. Then put back in run the hell out of it and when it starts running smooth pull them again. Ran into this once before, new battery and plugs solved my problem instantly. PS My plugs were very black and wet looking when I pulled them but after 20-30 min. Clean Brad

Commitment has been made, however the weather man had better co-operate. Brad

Dan sounds like it could be an electrical issue. How old is the battery. If it is older I would replace it and most likely I would change the plugs to new ones before I checked anything else. Then I would look at ground wires, plug wires, etc Brad
