Wanderer replied to Sleeperhawk's topic in Watering Hole
It was great meeting ya'll what showed up and the cherry pie was great! Thanks, Bobbie. Can't wait to see the pics. -
Thanks, my friend. I went this morning and they had 1. I got it. Now all I have to do is put it together. I asked the salesperson how many they had, and one was it. Will let you know how it comes out.

Is that the same tree we, George and I, were talking about that we thought needed to be cut down? Glad ya'll are OK. I never liked pines too close to the house. See ya'll Saturday.

I'm gonna mess with something on my bike next year just so I have an excuse to attend. Looks like everyone had a ball. Can't say I abide by all that mano e mano smooching though.

Venture or voyager?
Wanderer replied to fatmansauto's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Talk to ADC. He bought my Voyager. I never rode a 1st Gen so I can't speak to that, but the Voyager was one fine ride.- 10 replies

Trailer??? I must've missed something. All I saw was this giant license plate. :rotfl: Guess it's true what they say about Texas.

My wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery as well. -
Glad ya'll are o.k. I've smacked one before not a fun experience. Don't take long to hit the deductible on a m/c, eh?

Windshield Not Sheeting
Wanderer replied to steveb74678's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
FW1. Fast wax Cleaner/Wax with carnuba. Once you start using it you won't use anything else to clean your bike and windshield and car, bicycle, or whatever. Just MHO. -
I don't know about others, but it is my bike resume'. I kinda cheated with North Dakota, I lived there for 6 years and I had a motorcycle.

Happy for your dad, and sorry too for your losses. As you said, life is short, live every day like it may be your last. This is why I have my Venture and why I try to ride every day and meet as many fine folks as I can. It's what I do. It's my life, my escape, my fun. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Fuel Feed Problems part III "Resolved"
Wanderer replied to Seaking's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I was having all kinds of problems with my audio and other electrics. Sleeperhawk and I pulled the fairing and pulled apart all the connections and added dielectric grease to all and all works fine now. Appears to be a common problem. -
Trip to Franklin, NC to find Sleeperhawk's Mom and Dad!

Nice pics! Especially, the ones of me. -
I really miss the the Voyager now that she's truly gone. I'm sure glad that another bike lover was able to get her and I'm sure she'll have a good home. Glad ADC is her new owner.
-
True, but can you not get these tires in 16" also? I guess I could do some Google, but I'm not feeling well today.
-
Maybe it's time to go Linux!
-
My question is; can you not run these c/t's as a set one on rear and one on the front, and if so does that make a difference in handling? Has it ever been done?
-
Do you know if this is an "in store" only, or catalog and internet also

No, but saw one at ThunderBeach last year on an 800 Boulevard and it looked really nice. Talked to the owner and she couldn't have been happier.

Yes their is and I have posted. I'm guessing only a few of the folks on this site are familiar with the Voyager, but I wanted to make it available to them first. I really had no intentions of buying a new bike to begin with that's why I put quite a bit of money in the Voyager fixin' it up, but the proverbial wild hair got me and I got the Venture. I tried the craigs list for a couple of days (big mistake), but the Voyager is like my puppy, if I've got to let it go I want it to be to some one I know that will love and take care of it. I know, it sounds crazy, but hey, I'm a crazy kinda guy.
